The bravest thing I did this summer was follow the advice I give everyone else: “Put your own oxygen mask on first.”
Lost a “friend.” But that’s what can happen when you take care of you instead of selfish others.

I can definitely relate – it can be uncomfortable but we have to keep our own cups full so that we can in turn share it with others 🙂 I’m sorry you lost a friend over this. Wow, that box looks fantastic! I wish I lived in the US. The box in Canada is really expensive, sadly. ☹ Yes, I remember that cucumber scent all too well. 🥒🍈 I think at one point, I had a cucumber melon body wash from Bath and Body Works. The exfoliator is something I would definitely use, along with those Vitamin C crystals ❤ Even the lime-spearmint cream (?) I would probably use. I really like aromatherapy and cooling creams. The cooling creams are really good for soothing sun burns.

Hey Caralyn. I have been missing reading your posts for a week or so, and adding my 2 cents Canadian. 😀
My health has been acting up. I haven’t really been able to concentrate on anything I read, even Scriptures I have needed to go over and over. And I have been sleeping lots.
Today, actually this afternoon is a bit better, so I looked for your email notice, realizing today is Monday.
God Bless you as you prepare, and head to Memphis to share Jesus. I will be praying for you, as you prepare, travel, and speak in love and boldness.
As I was replying here, a couple Scripture verses came to mind. As Paul wrote to the Ephesians, he requested prayer, as I know you also will be doing. These verses are his request I know, but they are how I will be lifting you to the Throne Room of our Father.
Ephesians 6:19-20
19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

That’s an amazing box!! The bravest thing I did this summer was climb a very tall ladder to help my husband with putting on a new roof. Big deal for me because I am terrified of heights. 😀

Hey, Caralyn! Glad you enjoyed your FFF on BBB! One note: the music comes up from 2:26 to 2:41 and your voice cuts out. In case no one said anything yet. I’m a sucker for bloopers! Legs stiffened up a bit on the bed, eh?
Just to keep you updated – the youth minister, Chris Miller, called me yesterday morning, and he took more flyers to a couple more churches along Park Ave up and down the street from Christ the King. We don’t know what results we’ll get, but the promotion has definitely gone out to places beyond CTK.
I went to church yesterday and arranged with the church secretary to have a table and chair in the narthex for book signings/sales. Not sure if we’ll get our hands on a real podium, but we’ll have a music stand at the very least. She’s letting me pick up her key on Friday so we can get into the sanctuary any time we want on Saturday.
Looking forward to fragrant, exfoliated, and silky-smooth talks this weekend!!!
