Kamala on LIFE

I’ve gone back and forth, and back and forth about publishing this post. Because, let’s be honest, a lady’s not supposed to talk about politics, religion or money.

But then, when have I ever followed the rules when it comes to that.

But my final push to publish this post came when I was having a quiet hour this afternoon, preparing to write tonight’s post…which was, admittedly, not this.

But I looked up today’s gospel reading (MT 19:16-22), and in very clear, very bold, very plain-as-day letters, I was given — nay, commanded — the “green light” to put this post out into the blogosphere.

You see, Jesus was asked what one must do to gain eternal life. To which He replied “Keep my commandments.”

And when asked “which ones?” the very first commandment out of Jesus’ mouth is, “You shall not kill.”

And in that moment, I knew I had to publish this post.

You see, I’ve been shocked to see the mainstream media referring to Joe Biden’s VP running mate, Kamala Harris, as a middle of the road moderate.

I’m shaking my head in disbelief…a centrist? A pragmatic moderate? I’m bewildered, truly.

These are simply things that she is not.

Not even close.

I want to pause for a moment to say that, I think it is something to celebrate that a woman was chosen as the VP nominee of the democratic party ticket. Especially a woman of color. I applaud that fact, and am encouraged by the forward momentum of our country. (Enter more gushy rhetoric about girl power here…I’ll save you the eye strain…)

Back to the real point of this post:

Babies.

I find it incredibly ironic that when announcing his pick for VP running mate on Twitter, Joe Biden introduced Kamala Harris as — and I quote — “a fearless fighter for the little guy

**Record Scratches**

Little Guy??

I’m sorry Joe, have you not seen Kamala’s position on pro-abortion politics?

“A fearless fighter for the Little Guy?” Clearly, Joe…you’re not referring to the unborn child. Not that “little guy.” Okay, okay…I understand. Sure.

This “centrist” moderate…this fearless fighter for the “little guy”….Kamala Harris is about as far far left as one can be when it comes to pro-abortion legislature.

She has a 100% approval rating by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund — and no surprise here — but Planned Parenthood significantly funded her run for Senate.

Her relationship with that abortion provider is quite the “entanglement,” for lack of a better word.

Back in 2015, when she was California’s attorney general, the undercover journalist, David Daleiden exposed Planned Parenthood‘s heinous and unthinkable practice of selling aborted baby parts. He got it on video. Let me repeat: Planned Parenthood was selling baby parts of aborted children.

And instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for their criminal activity, Kamala prosecuted Daleiden instead. And to boot, leaked emails were uncovered between Kamala’s office coordinating with Planned Parenthood to draft legislation that would criminalize undercover investigations like David Daleiden’s.

Repulsive, if you ask me.

She opposes any and all restriction to abortion. She even voted against the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have made it a federal crime to withhold medical treatment from babies that survived botched abortions.

She supports taxpayer-funded abortions.

And my favorite…she is against parental notification requirements for minors seeking abortions.

Allow me to make myself crystal clear: Kamala Harris is in no way, a moderate. She is not a centrist. Her policies towards the unborn are *rad*i*cal.* And frankly, horrifying.

But back to why I’m bringing this up in the first place…

You shall not kill.” – Jesus

I couldn’t let this week go by without addressing Joe’s VP pick, because it’s been weighing on my heart for this very reason.

As a Christian voter, I cannot willing elect a candidate (or candidates) who support the killing of innocent children in the womb, no matter how much I may or may not dislike Trump’s personae.

If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
He asked Jesus, “Which ones?”
And Jesus replied, “You shall not kill
.” MT 19

It doesn’t get much clearer than that.

I’m going to be honest, this election terrifies me. I fear that because of this country’s — albeit, perhaps warranted — dislike of Trump, that we’ll be electing an extreme-left Trojan Horse under the guise of Biden’s “back to normal” moderate democratic ticket. And in doing so, we will be opening Pandora’s Box, when it comes to pro-abortion legislature and action.

I just pray – pray – pray for this country, for the hearts of the voters, and the protection of those precious innocent lives in the womb.

I’m not taking political sides here. There are aspects to both parties I agree with: like protecting the environment. I don’t support capital punishment. I think the income gap between the CEO and the floor worker (which is the greatest its been in history) is not right. And yet I also support law and order. I support the police, but want responsible policing.

But the one thing I cannot equivocate on is life. And there’s no “littler guy” than children in the womb.

Life is a gift. Created by God, and protected by rights under the constitution.

Whether we’ll be voting in person, by mail, on the Internet, or by carrier pigeon — who can say. But however we vote this election, I just pray that people put aside their personal vendettas against Trump and take into account the babies, and vote into office leaders who will protect their right to life.

“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5

      • Certainly, we have to be in prayer regarding this election. Thou shalt not kill applies to not only abortions but also the senseless killings of people of color that has been spurred by a racially propagated agenda. Neither are aligned with God’s Word. Lots of prayer for sure! God bless!

      • you’re right – big time prayer indeed. God’s commandments definitely extend to all areas of life!! Hugs and love xox

  1. Good for you on your stance for the “little guys!” I think most people in today’s culture forget who the little ones really are!

    • Thank you BJ, I appreciate your support!! I agree! They’re voiceless!! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you DI. I so appreciate your support. Means the world. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you friend. I was so scared to publish it, so your encouraging words mean the world. Have a great night. Hugs and love xox

  2. Kamala was considered a “moderate” because she was “tough on crime”, which was nothing more than she was a hired gun for corporate interests. Taking the side of Planned Parenthood, letting Willie Browns Cronies off the hook, not prosecuting pedophile priests after the church’s lawyers donated to her campaign, throwing people, mostly minorities, in jail for minor drug offenses to facilitate the prison industrial complex etc.. She even prosecuted companies that had created and distributed biodegradable bottles because the plastic industry stood to lose money if you didn’t use their forever plastic bottles.

She has always used her power to facilitate the most powerful to exploit the most vulnerable and her position on abortion should surprise no one.

    • Hi Marc! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. This election is worrisome for so many reason. Praying for the country!! Hugs and love xox

  3. Thank you for uploading this, Caralyn. The corruption never ends with the hard-left, I pray Americans will see right through this and see what they really are. Be well and safe!

    • Thanks John for the support. I was so SO incredibly nervous to publish it. So I appreciate the support. I pray too!! Praying hard!! Hugs and love xox

      • I have always been a very Conservative person if you take my meaning, Caralyn. God is still in control whether these people like or believe this or not. In the end, we win!

    • I will say that Trump is helping to expose the evil, corrupt Democrats. They are not tolerant and they are not pro-life, the hypocrisy is strong with these people. They need God in their hearts.

      • Yes they do. I think everyone on Capital Hill could use more Jesus!! 🙂

      • If you got time check out my recent posts on this years election. A lot of corrupt, evil things happening and we definitely need prayers and the hope we can lead this country in the right direction. This weekend I plan to write my thoughts on the convention on both sides (still need to watch the DNC, RNC nailed it though more ways than none).

I have a feeling this election is a war against good and evil. Even if you don’t have time to watch the RNC (if you haven’t already) it shows the good Trump has done for this country and the leftist media is distorting the truth about Trump. That’s not to say he is not lying either but since I still need to watch the DNC before writing my next blog and not listen to hearsay with it but from what I did hear all the DNC was about doom and gloom, blaming America and Trump for its problems while they don’t discuss or share what they plan on doing to help Americans out (as they haven’t done much of anything to help hard working people) while the RNC has shown what Trump has done, yet the lefist media ignored it all. The RNC doesn’t blame America, they show how nothing in government has been done for decades and Trump exposed all this within his first term as president and has done more than the media claims. Next to the harsh, hateful mob mentality from the left it’s a wonder why people still would vote for the Democratic party. Anyways feel free to share my RNC video post (I still have to add nights 3 and 4) if you dont have the time to sit down and watch maybe your friends and family might if they are unsure or already pro Trump as we need to get the word out as we’re in a fight for good and evil. One of the speakers from the RNC I believe has said “people are condemning Trump, much like people condemned Jesus because Jesus didn’t cave to political correctness during his time” that quote isnt exact but it should be clear as to we need to be a voice for Trump, besides the fact he is the polar opposite of Jesus as Trump isnt always nice, but he’s relentless in taking down and exposing the corruption in politics. Sad to say but our politics is at war and Trump has what America needs right now a voice to expose corruption and the American people need to rise up and take back control of our great country.

If you noticed, all the violent and crazy things has been happening because when we are being blessed with all the good that Trump is doing the demons are going insane and causing problems.

This is turning into a long post in itself but hopefully I can get my next post out this weekend and feel free to share my RNC video coverage post and my upcoming one to people that you think would benefit from it. People think their vote wont count. This election it will. Even if we lose to Biden, that’s no excuse to give up. The goal here is to not only win but win both popular vote and in the electoral vote for Trump.

Also kind of surprised that the left bashed Melania’s RNC speech. The hate is just so unfair and un-American. As I’ve said this nation needs prayers and Gods guidance, we need it more than ever.

    • Thank you so much!! I appreciate the support and encouraging words! Glad it hit home with you!! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Matthew! I was so nervous to publish this, so I really appreciate your encouraging words. Hope your week is off to a great start. Hugs and love xox

  4. Yes, yes, yes! Amen, sister! Abortion is THE issue of our time, I believe. It’s just gone on so long, we’ve grown blase to it. But it still horrifies me that the taking of innocent human life is permitted, defended, and even celebrated in our “liberal” “tolerant” culture. I’m not judging those who end their babies lives because they’re fed lies on the subject. There are two victims in every abortion. It’s the culture as a whole that’s accepted this. How did we get here? Thanks for speaking up!

    • Thank you so much CC! I agree – THE issue of our time indeed. I am so right there with you. THANK YOU for this wonderful encouragement. And you’re so right – two victims. And three when you include the father too! Sending big hugs and prayers! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Kandy. Yes! Those little lives are voiceless, and we must speak up to defend them! Hugs and love xox

      • Thank you for wording a difficult topic gently.
I dislike entering into contentious subjects on the Internet because good communication is more than words. So if this comment sounds stroppy, that’s not how I’m saying it, yeah?

Please don’t base your vote on one issue no matter how significant it seems now. No candidate will be perfect for everyone, compromise is necessary for governments to function at home and internationally therefore every person in the job will face situations where there are no good outcomes. What skills and traits does a successful leader need?

Abortion remains a sensitive and inflammatory topic, one riddled with blame at women – no one ever seems to blame the father! Given it takes two to get to that point, that imbalance upsets me.

Abortion clinics are not merely for foetus killing, they are safe havens for women in trouble, a centre of good, up-to-date and realistic advice. A place where options are discussed. A place to think.

No, I could never have an abortion but that is MY choice. I hold God as my judge and refuse to offer judgement on other women who choose differently. Every woman that walks through an abortion clinic has a personal tragedy in motion. I pray for them and will love them as best I can. To me it is a worse crime to shove thousands of women into the hands of backstreet chop artists who won’t stop to talk or offer guidance or alternatives. History shows us abortions always exist and we save lives when this sad process is clean, regulated and overseen.

I do enjoy your blog and I do think women should have a voice in religion and politics! I’d march (virtually during a pandemic!) to defend your right to have that voice. 😎👊

As a last thought… that passage in Mathew 19 goes on, have you considered how the other virtuous traits listed there are represented in the candidates? While all are relevant, I’m particularly thinking of the last piece of advice Jesus offers the rich man.

      • Hi Carolanne, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this difficult issue. You’ve brought up some powerful food for thought here. Especially about the other nine commandments, and Jesus’ instruction to the rich man to go give away all of his possessions. I certainly do not judge those who have had abortions. I think they need support and compassion, as they have undergone trauma! thank you for joining the dialogue and offering this perspective. I always appreciate healthy and respectful dialogue! Hugs and love xox

  5. I appreciate your willingness to discuss difficult topics! I disagree, we must discuss politics, religion, anything important to human life.

I have to wonder, though, if voting according to Christian belief in the hopes that Christian views would be imposed by law is a loving action when this nation was designed to be a place without imposed or denied religious practice.

Then again how does that secular balance mesh with deeply held convictions?

    Ah! Such fascinating tensions.

    Thanks for the post!

    • Thank you friend – I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this difficult topic! You’re right – important issues need discussion! Interesting thought indeed! Definitely something to think about! Hugs and love xox

    • The left is seeking to impose their views on us. Abortion “rights”. gay marriage, and more the left seeks to impose on the whole country, so how is that okay but Christians speaking up is no okay?

      • The Left is not a specific organized religion. They are also no requiring you to have an abortion or to be married to someone of the same sex. Legally, the realities of abortion and different sexual orientations are being recognized, so I’m afraid your point is less about your rights and more about your comfort.

However, I do disagree heavily with Leftist insults and labeling tactics, as well as using vulnerable populations to grasp at power.

        Be blessed.

      • I could not disagree with you more. The fact that something does no affect me personally does not negate the fact that one set of morality if being imposed.

      • That is your right.

Unfortunately morality is a poor means of determining law since moral actions are context-dependent, as evidenced in the history of the Church herself. For example, there was a time when burning heretics and conquering natives was considered morally acceptable.

Abortions are real, they happen, and they have happened since humans started reproducing. The question is how we handle something real, not how we value it based on one group’s current sense of morality.

      • Because murder and rape are demonstrably bad for every society, regardless of religion or context.

The flawed logic is that because you feel one set of views is being forced on you, you feel the best Christian response is to react in kind. This is not only contrary to the Gospel, but is also blatantly hypocritcal.

      • Of my you are far off. Abortion has caused the deaths of over 40 million infants in the USA. If you think that had not affect society, then you have lost touch with reality.

      • Your use of “infants” is misleading, but we will set that aside.

If it were not performed in clinics, the death toll would include the women involved as well, making for a substantially higher number.

The reality is that abortions will occur with or without roe v wade, and I’d rather it not return to back alleys, hangars, hot baths with whiskey, unsupervised drug cocktails, suicide, or infanticide.

Abortion affects society in potential reality, not actual reality. It affects the woman, the embryo/fetus (sort of), and whoever the woman decides to include. As you said earlier, it doesn’t affect you personally. The idea just bothers you because of your faith, which is absolutely fair. Same reason it bothers me.

      • Wow you really are far off. If a child dies in a car accident, that is potential reality too. You are so hardened that you can not be reasoned with. Just because abortions happened in any form is not a valid argument for them Thus for my part, this conversation is over.

  6. Yes, yes, yes! Abortion is THE issue of our times, I believe. It’s just that it’s gone on so long we’ve grown blase. But it still horrifies me that we permit, defend, and even celebrate the taking of innocent human life in our “liberal” “tolerant” culture. I don’t judge the mothers who end their unborn babies lives because they’re fed lie after lie about it. It’s our culture generally that’s to blame. The calling of good evil and evil good. Thanks for speaking up!

  7. Very well thought out and stated. I believe that anyone can express/discuss any topic they so choose. I’m a southerner, Louisiana, and we mingle and mix topics regardless of gender. As a Roman Catholic & true conservative, I’m cautious of discussing religion and/or politics; I will discuss; however not argue. Enjoy all of your posts & topics. Geaux(go, haha LA thing) Girl

    • Thank you Reid! I am so glad it resonated with you. Thanks for the support! Hugs and love xox

  8. This is a very difficult subject. Sometimes a doctor has to make a difficult decision whether to lose a mother or child in life threatening circumstances. By choosing one above another because both can’t be saved is that doctor responsible for the death in the sight of God when he or she makes that choice? As Christians looking back in history we have been responsible for a lot of killing in the name of religion so are vulnerable to finger pointing by those who dislike Christians. I totally agree that the ten commandments are relevant and required today. God gives us a choice and doesn’t intervene to force that choice but eventually it will be sorted out in the judgment. He is the judge. We need to have those commandments in mind constantly as we make our decisions and each of the ten has equal weight. Fortunately God is in control and the final judge and if the thief and murderer on the cross could be forgiven by Jesus in that last minute before his death then people who make unfortunate choices about the life of a child can repent and be forgiven.

    • A very difficult subject indeed. thank you so much Ian for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the conversation. so much food for thought here. And yes – God is in control! And yes! forgiveness is real!! Hugs and love xox

  9. Thank you for your post. I was not aware of her views on abortion. I was aware that she called out Biden for his opposition to desegregation and his friendship with Sen. Byrd who was known member of the KKK.. Politics makes strange bedfellows as they say. The desire for power seems to have become more important than taking a stand against Biden regarding his tied to Byrd.

    • thank you for sharing your thoughts on this! yes – her position on abortion has been rather concealed in the media!! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you Beckie, I appreciate your support! 🙂 yes! we must be their voice! Hugs and love xox

    • thanks for sharing your thoughts and for joining the conversation! politics is tough for sure! Hugs and love xox

  10. Thank you for putting into words what I have felt. With so many different opinions flying around, I have never been able to adequately express what I thought. This described it almost perfectly

    • thank you so much Claire, I’m so glad this resonated with you! 🙂 you’re right – it’s tough to talk about! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much for your support – i was super nervous to publish it!! have a great night! Hugs and love xox

  11. Thanks for sharing this. You are on target! Praying with you for what’s best for our country and all the little guys!

    • thank you so much Rick, I appreciate your support and yes! joining you in that important prayer! Hugs and love xox

  12. This is spot on Caralyn. Have you ever noticed that as soon as liberals get in power, the very first thing they do is loosen abortion restrictions? And the very first thing conservatives do when it’s their turn, is to tighten them. We can fight about all kinds of politics, but the number one issue is always abortion. It’s heartbreaking that in the last 4 years, liberals have pushed for (and won) abortion rights all the way to the point of birth. Even worse is born-alive restrictions that deny medical attention to babies who manage to survive abortions. How can we expect people to respect different races and opposite sexes when we are so horrifically inhumane as to slaughter babies or to sell baby parts for our own benefit? How revolting is that? Makes my stomach turn. I agree with you, that as difficult as Trump’s personality can be, this nation has nothing to stand on if we hand over the reigns of leadership to extremists like Kamala Harris. Thank you for your boldness to speak up. It encourages my heart to watch the younger generations stand up for what is right.

    • Hi Shelly, thank you so much for your encouraging words and support. I’m glad it hit home with you. You’re so right – abortion is my number one issue because it hits at the heart of the Bible: the commandments, and what Jesus instructed, straight from His Holy mouth! makes my stomach turn too. Thank you for having my back! 🙂 Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much for your support! i was so nervous to publish it, so I really appreciate it!! yes! big big prayers for the USA! Hugs and love xox

  13. I appreciate your courage in sharing this. As a voter from California we know of Ms. Harris’ voting record well. It’s truly heartbreaking that any human being could support such heinous acts.

    • thank you so much for your support, Michael! I know – heartbreaking indeed. I was super nervous to publish this, so thank you for the encouragment. means a lot. Hugs and love xox

  14. Oh I can’t begin to understand why people would vote for Biden/Harris let alone the extreme hate from a left. I’ve always been conservative but always stuck to the sidelines mostly. I really wasn’t that fond of Trump in the beginning but hey when I saw my paycheck less was taken from the Federal tax.

Not only that the economy was doing great and everything was fine. Covid struck and basically I feel more isolated but I never blamed Trump for it. Since the riots and looting has been going on Biden makes an appearance and I never liked him due to the fact besides him being Democrat and unfortunately the corruption in Illinois ran by Democrats I just get upset over these politicians who spends a lot and then expect way too much tax money, gives each other politician raises and they still dont have enough.

Then I find all these looters and rioters are being cheered on by none other but the Democratic party. Topping all that off celebrities keep mouthing off at Trump, calling him names and basically just continue to berate him in such hatred.

The thing that gets me though is with all this going on with the Democratic party out of all the chaos and hate one, state is virtually untouched by this insanity, South Dakota. A Republican Governor, named Kristi Noem managed to run her state with minimal casualties. Shes got around 10k infected or deaths by Covid (if I recall, someone needs to fact check) but ran her state like nothing ever happened, her economy was 100% open. The people listened to her to take precautions and she ran her state better than any other state in the U.S. (to my knowledge anyways).

So while the major cities was like a warzone ran by Democrats and the people insane it was the polar opposite with S. Dakota. The reason, I bet is because people have values and respect for one another, the Governor is very traditional conservative and I bet you that some if not many people are Christians. I could be wrong but either way these are nice respectful people, I hear. I might have found the place to retire if it continues to be untouched by greed, hate corruption and evil!

I gotta wonder if we’re witnessing a change and it greatly depends if Trump wins. I feel like we’re borderline heading into a civil war again. I hope not. But even though Trump is a very difficult person to get along with or like he’s still a better choice than Joe Biden as the Democrats are failing America.

I think if we can push America into a country with values, integrity and caring we could get someone like Kristi Noem who would keep America together. But right now it’s the fact that Americans are against one another and it keeps escalating. Trump definitely doesn’t help things and it makes the left crazier and more hateful but hopefully we can get through this another 4 years with him. Republicans really needed someone better but unfortunately Trump is all we got.

I’m not sure if Pence would do any better but really Trump needs to be replaced with someone with some sense to not antagonise the left. Because now is not the time to make a bad situation worse but unfortunately Trump keeps doing just that. I’ve already mentioned that this country really needs so many prayers because the U.S. is in chaos. We need help. The hate, corruption, greed and violence needs to stop. If S. Dakota can do this so can the rest of the country if people want it to be.

    • What an interesting study with South Dakota! thank you for sharing that. And thank you for sharing your heart on this. you’re right – this election is incredibly divisive and so explosive on issues. I pray for our country and our leaders. You’re right – it is going to take of cooperation and compromise with both leaders and the people! Hugs and love xox

      • Kristi Noem must be doing something right to be one of the few politicians who actually does right for the people! I have to visit S. Dakota when Covid is over with!

I think the takeaway here is that we need the right person or people in office. Good people are hard to come by and good polticians are too far and few between. This country needs a ton of prayers to get things right. We need someone who can make the majority happy on both sides.

  15. Thank you for having the courage to write and post tonight’s article. I especially appreciate how you took Joe’s comment about “the little guy” and applied it to the littlest of our world community.

I originally started having some interest in Obama. The I heard that he voted for partial birth abortion. That’s an automatic out, a drop-dead issue, if you’ll allow the expression.

I trust you remain well. Sorry I missed you this weekend.

    • Hi Jeff! thank you 🙂 yeah – i was incredibly scared to post this, especially after the personal repercussions after posting my previous Trump post during the last election. yikes. but i couldn’t not post it. the Holy Spirit put it on my heart, so I had to do it. Thanks, yeah that Little Guy comment was just *dripping* with horrific irony. you’re right- a candidate’s stance on abortion is my make or break issue, because it goes right to what Jesus instructed: straight from His mouth in Matthew: Thou shall not kill. Thanks Jeff, yes – I’m actually doing wonderfully! We need an email catch up soon! I hope you and your girls had a nice and relaxing weekend! big hugs to you all!! thanks for stopping by! xoxo

      • I’m sorry to hear that you had such a struggle over tonight’s article. I’d forgotten how brutal it got over your Trump article! You show a lot of courage here so often that it’s hard to remember the personal toll some of these things can take on you. I’ve always appreciated how courageous you are! I’m trying something a bit new on the acting front that I’m pretty juiced about; hence the call. I’ll write you all about it. In the meantime, stay well. Remember; you’ve have many more fans than detractors!! The weekend was good! More on Julie and Hills when I write. Blessings!

      • Yeah I lost friends over that article 🙁 thank you for saying that. And oh my gosh you called!!! I just went and checked my call log and am just now seeing that I missed a call and a voicemail from you! I’m so sorry! I can’t even remember what I was doing Friday morning to miss it, but I’m super bummed I missed ya! Yes! I want to hear all about it! Can’t wait to hear!!glad to hear it! Hugs!

  16. I read an article the other day which stated, Kamala had exchanged sex for advancement in her political career. Do we want the first female president (I firmly believe Biden will bow out of office within the first year leaving her as president) example to aspiring girls to be a corporate cliche? How many of us who had been at a company for years wondered why we were passed up for promotions in favor of other women we later found out were not working late, they were ‘counting ceiling tiles’ in order to advance up the corporate ladder? This goes way beyond slut shaming and into voting for a woman who is qualified to lead vs. one who is where she is because of quid pro quo of the worst sort. A story as old as women have been in the workforce.
I hope the dems do not make the same mistake of voting for, Kamala as they did when they voted for, Obama… twice because of some misguided need to prove they are ‘good people’.
Voting for, Kamala tears down decades of progress for women and is a slap in the face to those of us who work hard to gain advancement and merit based on our intelligence and hard work.

    • Hi Melissa, oh gosh, I haven’t heard that, but I really hope that’s not true! thanks for sharing your heart on this issue. It is going to be such a tough election, that’s for sure! sending big hugs and love! xox

  17. thank you for your blog today. I couldn’t agree with you more. Thank you for speaking out and for pointing out how our democratic presidential candidate has forgotten the “little guy.” I get sick every time I hear how much they want to kill children and promote – even brag about it. God have mercy on us. Our land is seeping with spilled blood of the innocent. God can only take so much. Joining you in prayer for and with our country to wake up and stop this infantcide going on every single day. All lives matter. No one isn’t a child of God, loved by him. Sorry to keep going on. Just frustrated. Thank you.

    • Thank you so much Cathy! I’m so glad this resonated with you! Yes! We’ve got to speak up for the voiceless!! Amen!! Hugs and love xox

  18. I looked at Kamala Harris’s Planned Parenthood donations for 2015-2020. They are under the $10,000 contribution limit. She spent 2.3 million to be a California Senator. Where did you get that information? Kamala Harris tax records don’t follow your statement that Planned Parenthood sponsored her campaign entirely. Disney gave her more money. JJ Abrams gave her even more than Disney.

    • Hi Kenzie, The donations were from PP to Harris, not the other way around. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and love xox

      • We are saying the same thing. Any donation during a campaign is documented and taxable. Although. There’s a discrepancy in your statement that you are avoiding.

      • I am using the information I gleaned from my research for this post. And I am not avoiding at all! I would love to read your sources 🙂

      • The law does not feel Caralyn. Be accountable, you cannot post false statements and not also be responsible for their outcomes. You know how many unwed mothers I meet everyday? How many do you meet? How many have Trump taken advantage of to pay for, anything else at this time. This is a very selfish post. I pray for all of you.

      • How can it not be? It’s sprayed with ads. You’re getting revenue so how does that make you different from Planned Parenthood or Kamala Harris?

You’ll never know what that’s like. To lose your kid. Not because, you couldn’t do it because how hard the government makes it to keep your kid. Their like, “You make over $20,000 don’t you? Daycare is $13,000. You still have some left for rent, and diapers, and life. It’s not our fault is it?”

Don’t go to the abortion clinic. Protest at the Economic Security office on the first and the fifteenth. Protest at the group of high school girls that are pregnant that meet after school. Tell them. Look at them. Tell them, they need to keep this kid.

That you agree that the dad’s need to do something. Then, walk away like our system does to them. Then, wonder at least half a dozen times a year some kid has her baby in a toilet.

We all don’t make the same amount. Having a kid when you’re poor is a grim reality than middle or upper class. The choice is the same. It’s a really hard choice that no one does laughing.

      • I can feel your passion through your words. Thank you for sharing.

      • I guess I’m confused at what you mean? I’m not lying, nor am I taking money to push anything? But I appreciate you stopping by and voicing your opinion. Have a great night. Hugs and love xox

      • Planned Parenthood planted a senator in our government. Which has no merit or proof. This, has been on every evangelism blog for the past week. There’s a half dozen other talking points that aren’t factual but are taken as true. It’s your writing and I’m disappointed. I’m done talking. Rich people.

      • I was, like we all were jobs at some point. Dishwasher. Deadbeat. President. Haha.

Everyone should vote. We should not be intimidated. Eventually, we’ll reach that Athenian democracy.

      • These last few years have made me realise just how fragile so many of the things we have taken for granted are. I did jury service last year. The judge pointed out to us that there are two things you are compelled by law to do in Australia- One is to vote. The other is to do jury service. Compulsory voting was new to me. I come from the UK originally. I have a sneaky feeling there were suffragettes in my family. My grandmother was always reminding me that Emily Wilding Davison had thrown herself under the king’s horse to secure that right.

      • I like Australia. I believe, we adopted this framework in the US obviously not to secure rights for all. Although. We are told that in school. It was rights for landowners. The upper classes always had the ability to limit the rights of others. We can be mad about that. We’re not because every few years we think a president will wave a wand and make everything “good.” That’s not democracy that’s older aristocracy. Limiting a women’s access to health including obstetrics and gynecology is not lawful. So. A president saying he’ll end abortion is also untrue. If we understood the process in the country we live in rather than just pick a side like football. Oh I think we could save some babies. We don’t have to, lie. Manipulate. We don’t have to downgrade and demean a candidates political choices because she understands the law. Nietzsche and the abyss is the abortion debate and project of a past Pope. I love my God but I also can reason for myself.

      • “…the ‘true militant’ would willingly sacrifice friendship, good report, love and even life itself to ‘win the Pearl of Freedom for her sex.’ -Emily Wilding Davison.

She did, many things for her cause with nearly nothing but wits.

      • I was referring to Remembering Lives comment on Emily Davison’s suffrage protest. Finally read a few books about Emily. But, it’s your world. Sorry.

      • Sorry – I didn’t see it was in response to another comment. In my notification it showed as a stand alone response.

      • Thank you. What a wonderful quote. She really did sacrifice everything too. In the end though women won respect through their support in WW1. It is hard to say whether she deliberately threw herself under the king’s horse. I have watched the footage countless times on You Tube.

      • We do have similar actions from protestors in America blocking freeways and intersections. Their mental health is questioned more than the subject itself. I believe her plan was to subdue the horse with her presence and flag. In a symbolic gesture against the King. Only, I know from working with horses that move that fast. They have usually jumped over what’s in front of them. Or, kicked and stomped. Either way she wasn’t going to make it. More authors claim delusions because of her belief in God. I believe, it is not the spirit that moves us but free will. Religion compelled her but she achieved a false sense of security from surviving previous protest actions. It reminded me of Joan of Arc.

  19. So you’re a one issue voter. As long as some politician is antiabortion whatever else they espouse is okay. Like the death penalty or being racist or antisemtic, that okay with you — somehow that’s not surprising. Let’s see what else, how about punishing the poor for bring poor? Lying, cheating, treating women as nasty, sexual objects? Cheating at golf — bet dad doesn’t like that. But anything goes as long as the unborn get born even it they suffer after. Very white, very upper crust.

Isn’t the abortion issue really about choice? So why it only women who don’t get to choose, and that’s not only about abortion. I thougth you want the government out of our lives, but not when it comes to women and sex. Oh well consistancy is greatly overrated. What do they say — it’s the hobgoblin of small minds. You should try marrage sometime and raising a family that might give you a different prespective.

I guess what gets me is that as long as the trains run ontime and the volk are working and we’re killing and being kill in places no one knows — who cares. There’s only one moral issue, I guess. Did I not mention the 170,000 dead from COVID-19. Well as a great man said — that’s what it is.

I glad morality is so clear for you.

    • Hi Steven, thank you for joining the conversation and sharing your thoughts. In terms of my political stance, a candidate’s position on abortion is a make or break for me. Abortion is a heartbreaking issue, and the post-abortive mothers and fathers need support afterwards too. And I think things need to be done before that is the only option: like providing other options and other forms of support for those faced with an unplanned pregnancy. There are so many yearning to adopt. That is a terrific option. I appreciate you stopping by and joining the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

  20. Thank you so much for sharing your heart! I am truly thankful that you had the guts to post this. I know that I have had this exact conversation many times over about this topic. Praying for you and the good fight you are fighting for all Christians in this difficult time. We have to continue to stand with each other, speak up and fight for what is right in the Lord’s eyes! God Bless 💕

    • Thank you so much Ashton for your support! I’m glad this hit home with you! Yes! Joining you in that important prayer! Hugs and love xox

  21. I really HOPE my thoughts DO NOT upset you, BUT First?

You wrote that a “lady’s not supposed to talk about politics, religion or money.” I don’t recall reading those 3 things in the “bible” as No, No’s and you do know your living in 2020, RIGHT? Lol. xoxo…

If we don’t speak up or speak out? How do we share our voice?

And just as you have done in your post about your choice and feelings about “Abortion.”
NOW? I HOPE you really, really don’t get UPSET at me as you know I love YOU and your blog…

I was in a position myself at a very young age from childhood abuse and sexual trauma andbecame pregnant … I chose to have an abortion as I was not even mentally, emotionally, and mature at the age of 14… in no way fit to have a child. And at the time? My parents raised me and my siblings Catholic and I know their stance on abortion.

It is why I am not affilated with any type of “Organized” religion. I was rebaptized and rededicated my life to God, and his son, Jesus Christ in 2002. I am a Christian and Believer. I am a walking talking Miracle of God as he saved me from two failed suicides.

My feelings are, unless a woman has walked in my shoes?
I’ll stand by choices in life and will answer and atone for them when it’s my time to leave this earth and meet my “Father Above.” See, he already knows the horrific childhood I went through. He forgives through his love, mercy, and grace. I will hold him to that when I meet him as I’m sure he’ll hold to my choices and WHY…

I have always believed a woman should have the right to see fit what she does with her body. I look at it the same as my Mental Health challenges.

I wouldn’t want someone else locking me in a Mental Hospital just because I have severe depression. No one should make the choices for YOU if you are able and of sound mind to make them about your body, your health and mental well-being. If you are incapasitated or mentally dabilatated, that is very different and someone, a gaurdian would make those choices for you.

Yes, all life is precious. But there are many, many woman who shouldn’t have children with all the sick abuse and neglect I see toward children as we hear on the news, in the headlines. And, again, I surely wasn’t mature enough nor fit from the trauma, I wasn’t going to bring a child into that mess … I do respect your opinions around this issue.

Let me ask you this question?
Of all the chaos and late decissions our current President has made, including all the evidence and videos that we have actually heard him speak of and about WOMAN…
If you have a daughter… how can you look her in the eyes knowing what values and character this man has and still support him?
    I know, it’s a tough question.

This is subject is very personal to me and I thank you for letting me share my experiences. Just the other side of the coin.

Be blessed, stay safe and healthy!
    CAT (Author, Catherine Lyon)

  22. Let’s keep in mind here, that biblically speaking (Leviticus 20:10) the only thing keeping Trump alive is that he’s a *male* adulterer. Adulterous females…well, I daresay we all know at least one we’d have to publicly stone. Biblically speaking, of course.
Kamala isn’t a baby murderer. She’s a law maker. As such, she has to safeguard the rights of everyone as the majority decides. To spin this responsibility any other way is nothing but high drama theater.
Frankly, having grown up Catholic in the 80s, I watched the greatest threat to democracy happening in real-time while Catholic priests were sexually abusing my classmates in high school. That threat was the GOP pressing its lips against the buttocks of religion and smooching. I personally lived the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church, so I am absolutely not surprised to see the GOP nothing more than a cluster-eff of racism, misogyny and avarice in 2020.
If you want to add to that problem by being a single issue voter, well, that’s your “right”. But it’s also part of the problem with democracy in the US. Voters are supposed to cast their vote based on their *informed* opinion of the qualifications of the candidates to unite our country and lead us forward. Voting based on a book written by a group of men 2000 years ago isn’t just voting backward, as a female it’s pretty much gender treason. But if you want to vote biblically, I’ll pay for your first year subscription to Cell Beautiful so that after you stone your adulterous friends to death, you’ll have something to read in jail.
Just, please…be merciful and aim for the head. No need for your adulterous female friends to suffer unnecessarily.
Or, y’know…you could just vote responsibly as a citizen of the modern world and pick the candidate best suited to the job. As you mention, there are many other issues to consider.
It’s a four year relationship, not a marriage. Although, so many marriages don’t even last four years any more…oh, hey…we’re back to adultery since the Bible views divorce as adultery, too! (Matthew 5:32)
Remember, aim for the head. 🙄

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the conversation. It is certainly going to be a difficult election, and I respect your positions. Though, I won’t be throwing any stones 😉 Hugs and love xox

      • Just as well, turns out that magazine didn’t even exist!
I appreciate your values and life stories. Many times when reading I feel pulls at the foundations of my own values. But when it comes to politics…I think values voting is one thing and outright mixing politics and religion is another. Its something that we need to figure out a fix for because it’s so flipping divisive. I don’t think I’d mind as much if there was consistency…but there’s not. That said, founding a country on religious freedom but then allowing religion a political voice was always gonna be a fraught proposition…and I’ll tell ya this, I’m not sure what the answer is outside of politics and religion weren’t designed to mix in America.

      • Oh wow thank you! You’re right – this is the most divisive I’ve ever seen this country. It makes me so sad. And we need to figure it out for sure! Thanks again for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  23. Another eloquent, heartfelt post. But let’s keep this in mind: there is a hate-filled despot at 1600 Pennsylvania, who has done nothing but divide the people and spread harmful — at times, lethal — lies. His un-Christlike lack of compassion for anybody is jaw-dropping. If the Biden-Harris ticket offers any chance of restoring some kind of stability to the country, that’s a bullet one has to bite. The thing is, this is something we, as Christians, have a responsibility to address one-on-one with individual people. Bring forward the supports for single parents; encourage fathers to stick around; don’t let people portray having babies as a curse or a barrier to career progression; if we’re doing our jobs, it won’t be an issue.

    • Hi Drew, thank you so much for sharing your heart and thoughts on this. This is going to be such a difficult election for all of these reasons. Big prayers are needed! Hugs and love xox

  24. So, yes, abortion is bad. I guess. But what about the terrible mental health system in our country? Or the fact that people are dying in droves of homelessness and addiction? Doesn’t that matter too?

Conservatives are so obsessed with the unborn, but then once people are actually born, they vote for candidates who systemically undermine any type of safety net in America for those who are less privileged.

I get it. You care about abortion. But there are a lot of people in this country who are really struggling, and things have been getting worse. And I hate to break it to you, but I don’t think President Trump gives a damn about working people. That’s the little guy Biden was referring to.

    • Thank you Nick for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue. Yes – there are definitely other issues that need attention in this country for sure. And I think there should be support available for post-birth mothers and fathers. Lots of food for thought here. Hugs and love xox

      • Thanks. I disagree with you, but I respect your opinion. I am a Christian too, but I guess I don’t feel as strongly about abortion. And really, I just really dislike Trump. However, thank you again for being positive in your comments even though this is a super tough topic to talk about.

      • Thank you Nick. I appreciate that so much , and I definitely respect your opinion too.I think healthy and respectful dialogue is really helpful for building bridges and fostering a compassionate community, so thank you so much for joining the conversation!! 🙂 I agree – tough for sure. Have an awesome night! Hugs and love xox

  25. Standing for the truth takes being willing to be misunderstood, mischaracterized and criticized. Thanks for being willing as well as carefully researching your article before pushing publish. God bless you. I will be doing something I rarely do and that is reposting this on my blog. Couldn’t be better said. We’re from PA originally and I believe Bob Casey to be the last prolife Democrat and he was prevented from speaking at the convention even when it was in Pennsylvania. God bless you and stay strong.

    • Thank you so much Pete, I appreciate your support a lot! Oh gosh – that just goes to show the deep seeded agenda. Makes me sad. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Patty! Im glad this hit home with you!! And gosh, that really means a lot. Yes! Those voiceless babies need speakers on their behalf! Have a beautiful evening! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much for your support and encouragement Connie. It really means a lot. I was so nervous to post this, but I had to speak for the voiceless! Big hugs to you xox

  26. A few questions:

When was the last time Trump attended any type of church service?

He golfed when his brother was on his death bed. Is that pro life?

He golfed when 170,000 of our fellow Americans died. Is that pro life?

He is dismantling the USPS to suppress voting. Many are not getting their prescriptions on time due to slower mail. Is that pro life?

He refused to wear a mask, encouraging his followers to the same. Mixed messaging has caused people to contract the virus because it was politicized. Is that pro life?

Herman Cain died after contracting COVID-19 at his rally. Is that pro life?

He lies constantly. Is that following the 10 commandments?

    So many more questions…

    • Hi Peter, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this difficult topic. I am not saying Trump is a saint or lives in a pro life way. I was not addressing him in this post, I was merely illuminating Harris’ voting and positions on issues of life. There are clearly a lot of issues around Trump. This post was not about him. But I appreciate you joining the conversation and posing those questions. Hugs and love xox

    • The bill Ms. Harris supports allows infants to die in botched abortions by doctors who chose that as a speciality in med school. I would not compare golfing to that excrement. As well, the decision to end a life is not just a horrible ending to a child who literally could have gone on to do anything, but it destroys women of conscious and their minds after the child is gone. Choose to be less sardonic on an issue that is approaching 27 million deaths as we speak today. By the way these are this year’s numbers. Please consider those costs to the human condition of the infant and the mother. Trump may be a criminal, but Derek, at your age, how well you understand the criminality of people at this level.

  27. Outstanding and well written post Caralyn. I couldn’t agree more with what you said regarding such radical policies. And I’m pro choice, but only to a fair extent. I’m very much like you in the middle and might sit the presidential portion out. I’ll vote locally.

    • Thank you so much Derek. I’m so glad this resonated with you, and I appreciate you joining the dialogue. It will certainly be a difficult DIFFICULT election! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much! haha yeah i was super super nervous to post this, so thank you for your support! It means a lot! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi Lisa! oh thank you so much, i was super nervous to post this, so thank you for your support! it is going to be a long road to November. Big time prayers for our country! hope you’re having a great week so far! Hugs and love xox

  28. Not surprising for her, bur Joe Biden has always boasted about being Catholic, so I have more of an issue with him regarding life. Sad that this is even a reason people vote for a candidate

    • thank you Alice for sharing your thoughts on this! it is going to be a difficult election, that’s for sure! big hugs to you xox

    • Thanks HJ. Amen – He only speaks the truth!! And that’s something we need to adhere to! Hugs and love xox

  29. I don’t do politics very well, it’s something I never cared for considering it’s always been a choice for Us between the greater evil vs. the lesser evil of presidential picks. There are rumors going around about Joe Biden having early stages of Dementia, and the fact that kamala Harris political track record reveals she always done things to hurt my people. I think this upcoming election is going to be one big train wreck and all you can do is get you some popcorn and enjoy the circus show. The Democratic Party is split, you have those with a little decency left and those who care nothing about American politics and the people. Just the way white america sold my ancestors on the auction blocks to the highest bidder, so America has also been sold to thieves on the highest levels of this melting pot society. Don’t take my comment personal, I just wanted to share my thoughts about this upcoming election and what I think it means to Us. Shalom

    • Thank you friend for sharing your thoughts on this. You’re right about that – I – and many many others – have serious concerns over Biden’s cognitive ability to be president. Yeah, this election is going to be very difficult to say the least. I appreciate you joining the dialogue. Big hugs to you xox

    • Thank you so much Rollie for your support. Amen to that – it must stop. It simply must. Big hugs to you xox

  30. Good that you rolled up your sleeves and fought back on this Dem Party pick; but, no pick would have been any better a woman running on that ticket with that horrendous Criminal Career Politician known as Crazy Joe Biden who is actually a diabolical man with so many skeletons in his closets along with being all for same sex marriage, but, he professes he’s a Catholic and yes he’s OK with full term abortion along with his hidden rage that reared its ugly head with his temper tantrums on many occasions makes him EXREMELY scary and dangerous as the presidential candidate and now with this Far Left Communist who I call the Female Version of Fidel Castro circa 1960’s, together makes for one helluva Molotov Cocktail that’s itching to burn up something innocent and good, just like all the ANTIFA and BLM Loonies sponsored by the Dem party, torching anything they don’t like, and that is a lot about America! They’re both despicable wicked, lying, lowdown dirty scoundrels and belong behind bars already! Yes, I’m very glad you took on this crummy topic in defense of the UNBORN being killed in New York and California at an unprecedented rate, and, many now full term day of delivery! We all should be crying like I am now feeling the pain as I’m thinking about this diabolical evil that these sorts of Dem party minions have promoted and provoked in this nation under God, while dragging in as many illegals as they can who don’t appreciate what America really is or stands for nor care; just so that in time they would have all crazed sheeple that serve as their minions while destroying all the good like the babies, about America. BTW it’s been validated that Kamala is NOT African American she is a total fraud and to me a heinous criminal! Her great grandfather was a most despicable slave trader of all races even his own Irish countrymen! He even took payment for his legal services with slave babies as chattel; an early American human trafficker and Kamala with Soros have upped the ante big-time through California! Go figure; look at Joe the granddaddy of the party criminals picks another despicable Dem criminal! Then again who is there in that party worth a damn!
Here is my Kamala contribution for this week too!
Pray people, because the pits of hell are opened wide now and anything is possible! ✝

  31. Interesting timing on posting… my new husband and I just had our first discussion on politics..thanks for being obedient. I agree, much prayer is needed. I think on a number of issues we may differ across the body but hope we can remember no matter who wins the election, we serve the same king!

    • Thank you so much Tama! I appreciate your encouraging and supportive words. It means a lot. I was so nervous to post this, so thanks for the feedback! Yes!! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Donald! I’m so glad this resonated with you! Amen! Conception to natural death!! Hugs and love xox

  32. I appreciate and applaud you in putting your thoughts out there Caralyn … Your blog is always a must-read. I have concerns as well about Kamala, but unfortunately that’s where we’re going to go in different paths. I have bigger concerns over the current administration’s lack of caring for immigrant children (i.e. separating children and parents, putting children in cages), capital punishment, and the lack of concern for the elderly and immune-deficient in building any type of plan in fighting COVID. If a politician is going to promote their pro-life position, then be pro-life. Are we not all God’s children? Are we not all in his image? If that’s not enough, I hate President Trump’s need to divide us, instead of bringing us together. We may disagree, but I appreciate your opinion and wish you well. God bless you.

    • Thank you so much Brian for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate you joining the dialogue. There is definitely a lot of concerns on all party platforms. There are no great options. But I so appreciate a healthy and respectful conversation. It leads to mutual understanding and building bridges! Have a great night. Hugs and love xox

      • Since there are “no great options” . . . then maybe we should run. You can run as Pres. and I’ll be your VP. Ha, ha, okay, maybe not, but thank you for your message of perseverance and God’s love. You have a great night as well.

      • Hahah oh my gosh! You’re too funny!! How about a campaign slogan of…”taking a stab at it” hahaha Hugs and love xox

  33. Very good piece. I am convinced the Trump victory in 2016 was ordained by God to protect life. The President has established two Supreme Court Justices who will preserve life. Also, you mentioned the environment. It was a good Republican President who created the EPA.
Your words about Senator Harris are dead on correct. Thank you!

    • Thank you so much John! I so appreciate your support. You’re right – though the candidate himself may not be the most shining beacon of morality, he has made a lasting prolife impact for which I am so grateful. Hugs and love xox

  34. Wise and courageous words! Thanks for speaking up and sharing what God put into your heart. Praying for you and hoping that your words touch many souls. Let us pray hard for our nation and those called by God to lead it. Blessings.

    • Thank you so much Ryan, I am so grateful for your prayers and kind words. Yes – big big prayers are needed!! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Dick, I really appreciate your support. Have a great night. Hugs and love xox

  35. I’m going to be short because there are so many long responses. Thank you so much for posting this. This election is so crucial for this country. God is in control, and I am praying that he will move hearts to respect all lives, and especially these “little guys.” ❤️

    • Hi Andrea – thank you for your support. Truly it means so much. You’re absolutely right – God is in control and we need massive prayers for this country!! Grateful for you! Have a wonderful night. Hugs and love xox

  36. SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!
thank you, thank you caralyn for this! i’m so proud of your courage in speaking up about the terrifying thing that is this upcoming election. God’s will be done!
power to the local dreamer ||-//

    • Hahah thank you so much!!! Oh gosh this means a lot – I really appreciate your support. Yes! God’s will be done! Hugs and love xox

  37. As a well-known commentator said, “Words mean things.” Interesting observation about the use of the phrase “the little guy.” It reminded me of our governor, who has been tearfully telling the people throughout the pandemic that “We must protect the most vulnerable among us,” when one of the first things he did when he took office was to reopen the abortion clinics. God help us.

    • Oh gosh, yes God help us. Truly. Thank you for sharing your heart on this. Words really do mean things! We must really listen to hear what is actually being said too!! So glad you stopped by! Big prayers for our country! Hugs and love xox

  38. I am blown away! I just recently started speaking out on other social media regarding topics like this and I know how hard it is to put your opinion out there. You never know what kind of response you’re going to get. Great post!💪🏽💛

  39. Old Joe isn’t even a reliable source when it comes to life and even faith issues. No wonder he praises people of the same defects. Birds of the feathers are the same birds.

    • Interesting take! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and joining the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

  40. Yeah, the choice is clear, vote for Trump or lose our country and lose more babies. May not like his persona but he’s not working for us to like his persona, he’s trying to save America. #Savethechildren!

    • That’s exactly how I feel, Cindy. Thanks for sharing your heart. Glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

  41. not to mention (not that it was or will be mentioned during the dem convention) all the children being killed in our largest cities… at an accelerating rate. She also refused to prosecute victims of sexual abuse (kids) by the catholic church in San Fran (her previous DA office holder had the files ready… and she would not even release the files to the victims for civil suits). I can understand having a somewhat reasonable abortion conversation (while I am totally pro life) but this disgusting lack of humanity with partial birth abortion and the rest… and the cover up by the media never calling it that.. “woman’s health”, you know evil when the words can not be honest. “fetus” instead of “baby”… it really is Orwellian, and sadly it works to a degree… which is why we must fight and hold all pols accountable.

    • I know – I the language has completely dehumanized and sanitizer the atrocity that is actually taking place during abortion. It’s no wonder planned parenthood refuses to let their employees use the word “baby.”

  42. Thank you for saying this. I think the nation needs to know just what a radical she is, and I think the David Daleiden case is what disgusts me about her the most… more so than the fact that she got her start in politics by sleeping with a married man twice her age; more so than the fact that she sent thousands of people to jail for marijuana while joking about her own marijuana use, then flip-flopped and became fiercely anti-police once it because fashionable to do so; and more so than the fact that her voting record in the Senate is to the left of Bernie Sanders.

  43. Astonishing though it is from over here to see so many Americans thinking the Biden and Harris ticket as ‘extreme left’, and unbelievable that anyone can think a Trump option is even thinkable given his incompetence, dangerous narcissism and corruption, I appreciate your post was not about these broader questions. I also understand how difficult the choice of those who take your view of abortion must find the coming election. What won’t do is to reduce the complexity of reality to a single issue that sweeps all others away. It is not just abortion that kills – poverty kills, indifference to climate change kills, incompetent and ignorant foreign policy kills, ignorance and stupidity in the face of Covid kills. God preserve this planet from more Trump. If you want to save life we desperately need leaders who will take action to save the planet from extreme heating, who will reduce infant mortality by tackling extreme inequality, who will build alliances for peace, who will provide competent leadership in the face of pandemics.

    • I greatly appreciate your acknowledgement that her post was just about abortion and not about any of these other issues. However I seem to be seeing things similarly as far as not focusing on just one issue because all those other issues you mentioned could be interpreted as “little ones” as they kill also. I see them as caring for the powerless.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts and joining the conversation. You bring up great points that there are other things that kill too. You’re right about that. In my opinion, the difference with abortion is that it is the direct killing through a direct choice to end a life. But you’ve posed some very important questions. Thank you. Hugs and love xox

      • Thank you so much for sharing your thought and belief and love through this extremely trying period where we all are just trying and praying the best we can!!! Love you too. All my best to you, your friends, and your family.

  44. Looking at what is happening in the US right now, I cannot help feel concerned for my American friends. I honestly fear for their safety and their presence of mind. It is hard for me to see good people being misled by the media, etc. The worst part is that they don’t seem to want to see to reason. All the videos that I post and show don’t seem to make a difference. They are so brainwashed into following what the next big thing that the media latches on to.
And most of it is because they have been indoctrinated into this view by their college education. It is sad. It is awful. That is why I thank God for people like Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens that are going into schools and challenging their ideology on their level, but it does not seem to be making much of a difference.
You cannot call the Democrat party a Democratic Party anymore. It is just Socialism and communism disguised. There is such hypocrisy and double standard there that it just leaves you baffled.

When are the American people going to realize that these people are going to do what is best for them and their agenda at the expense of the American people. They show that they care about you to get your vote and then forget about you for 4 years.
People talk about giving people of color high positions in government. I’m sorry.. What did Obama do for the 8 years that he was in office. To be honest, I didn’t know he was in office for that long. But yeah… what did he do for his people? What did he do for minority groups? Nothing.. Absolutely nothing.

Plus if you look at it, there were more gun violence and shootings in public schools while he was in office than there were when Trump was. Makes me think that those shootings were all planned actually.

And the fact that it is illegal to go to church, but not illegal to protest on the streets; shoot innocent children and loot small businesses?

Yeah… It makes me sick just thinking about what will happen if they come into power.

They are not for the little guy. And yes.. Thou shall not kill. As what I am thinking, they have crimes against God and humanity and no one will call them out on it.

So kudos for posting this.. Kudos for speaking your mind. Lets just hope that this does not get suppressed by social media.

      • Honestly, think about how many gun related incidents took place when Obama was in office. Looking at the levels of corruption and double standards that Democrat party will go to right now, I would not put it past them to go to those levels to seek out ways to take away the rights of citizens to bear arms for protection; and doing so while they had one of their own in office at the time.

It sounds ridiculous and evil, but then again, these are people who are OK with killing children (in the womb or on the streets).

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. You bring up a great point: the media definitely has an agenda and will shape their reporting – or lack of reporting – to fit their narrative. It is scary. Hope you have a great day! Hugs and love xox

  45. “Thou shalt not kill” I hope that all those that support this clause will also vote with the same passion when it comes to warfare, for permitting the arming of individuals. “Thou shalt not kill”

    • Gun laws are there for a reason. And lets be honest, if you take away a person’s right to bear arms, that really won’t take guns off the streets. Those who really want guns will obtain them through illegal means and Criminal elements will still get weapons the way they always have.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. That commandment definitely extends into many areas of life. Hugs and love xox

  46. This is so important, I wish everybody could understand this! Thank you so much for not being afraid to put out the facts and speak the truth when it’s not so popular.

    • Thank you so much Heather, I’m so glad it resonated with you! I appreciate the support! I was terrified to publish it! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you for your support, i was really nervous to press publish, so that really means a lot. Have a great day! Hugs and love xox

  47. Christian women need to raise their voices even more, so I applaud you! I watched an interview with a US Senator who was asked about Kamala Harris and he said she is even more far left than AOC, so think about that for a second. Praying for our country daily!

    • Thank you so much Monteelou! I agree- we need to be the voice for the voiceless. You’re right – it’s pretty scary! Joining you in that important prayer! Hugs and love xox

  48. Our world is so mixed up when sharing the Truth is considered incorrect. But that is what our Savior did his whole life. Caralyn you found the perfect example to follow. Excellent post important thoughts. You stay impressive. Thanks as always. John.

    • Thanks so much John for your kind words. I was so nervous to post this, so I really appreciate your support. Amen – He is the best example!! Hugs and love xox

  49. You may be choosing to protect babies, a stance I understand, even if I do not entirely agree but are you somehow prepared to accept the death of 170 000 Americans due to Covid?

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. It is definitely a very tragic situation we find ourselves in with Covid. However I guess i respectfully do not see the correlation here between abortion the coronavirus. One is the direct killing of a life. Covid is a highly transmissible novel virus. I appreciate you stopping by and joining the dialogue. Hugs and love xox

  50. Hi there

I am very late tp the party and I apologize. This is an extremely loaded issue for me. I deeply respect your passion and obvious integrity around this issue! Oh that we would all be as faithful. I have to say that I do not quite see it the same way as you this time though for several reasons: when any political party begins to co-opt religion and say “we represent your values” I believe we have to become deeply wary. It happened with the Democratic party and the mainline Protestant parties in the 1970s, and it’s happening now with the Republicans and the more conservative Catholics and Protestants now around their key issues. When Jesus was pushed into taking sides on politics, He adamantly refused. “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s” It’s obviously not that Caesar was a good leader, or that Jesus was being an obedient follower to the Pharisees or to Caesar. So that’s one thing. Secondly, 35 years ago I was a desperate, young unmarried girl whose boss fired her,, whose family threw her out, and who was contemplating suicide. Through the grace of God only, my boyfriend’s lovely Lutheran family (he soon became my husband) took me in. They passed the moral test of love: my own Christian family did not. My parents wanted me to have a secret abortion so no one in our community would ever have to know. So every time I drive by one of those billboards that screams “Abortion stops a beating heart” and there is no number to call for help on it I start screaming. Women need solutions, not more blame. Until we care as much about the child and woman as we do the fetus, I feel we just cannot put all our energy into telling women they cannot get a safe, legal abortion. I have been there and I know the dark thoughts of killing myself because I could not safely care for and provide for my beautiful baby. Plus that daughter that I did not abort depends on Planned Parenthood for safe gynecological care now so we know they do much more than kill babies, although admittedly they do do that. I am not trying to deny that. Sorry for ranting and for my disagreement with you! I love your blog. We just feel that, overall, this current President’s administration has been such a terrible ambassador for Jesus that we cannot in good conscience support his reelection.

    • Hi friend, thank you so much for sharing your heart and your thoughts on this very difficult issue. And thank you for sharing your story. I am so sorry that you went through that. My heart goes out to you! And I wish I could give you a hug – now, and during that time when you were scared and alone. You’re right – there need to be more options and support for women in that position. That is why I support prolife crisis pregnancy centers. They offer so so so much help and support and options and after birth counseling and support for unplanned pregnancy for expecting mothers. Again, thank you for sharing your story. You have been through a lot, and I appreciate your willingness and openness to pass on this powerful perspective you’ve gained. Hugs and love xox

      • Thank you for your words of love and healing. This is an issue we are 150% in agreement on…financial support for homes and healing for girls and women in this unfortunate position. I am deeply opposed to the thought of abortion myself, and sure that it is not according to God’s plan at all! But I feel that in this broken world unplanned pregnancies do, unfortunately, still happen, so I am torn about legislating all hope for a safe way out for desperate women. But I feel a total sisterhood with you on our shared hatred of abortion itself. I am just more torn about removing all chance of it from our society, that’s all. It seemed more clear-cut until I myself needed one.

      • It really is a tough issue for all of those reasons you’ve mentioned. Thanks again for stopping by and for sharing your story 💛💛💛

  51. You’re right to support the unborn child, and your post is powerful. I can see that you feel sufficiently strongly about this issue that it could determine the way you cast your vote, and you’re right if that’s what your conscience is telling you.
I wonder, though, whether it’s possible to vote for the overall direction of a political party, while campaigning against specific policies? What do you think?

    • Thank you so much Penny, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. That is a truly great question. I personally feel that my singular campaigning against a single issue would be an unfruitful endeavor – a fuzz in the wind compared to the vortex windstorm of a political party’s agenda. A salmon swimming upstream. That’s just my thought though. It is very interesting food for thought, and I appreciate you taking the time to read and join the conversation!! Hugs and love xox

  52. Well said, Carolyn. Sometimes, we must speak out for those who have no voice. We are talking about worldviews here, more than political parties. Jesus also said to suffer the little children. In NYC, where you live, a black baby has a greater chance of being aborted than being born. That’s racial genocide.

    • Thank you so much Mel! You’re so right – we must be the voice for the voiceless. You’re so right – that statistic is one I read earlier this year and it absolutely gutted me. How absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE. Glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Teresa! I was really nervous to publish this, so i appreciate your encouraging words. Have a great day! Hugs and love xox

  53. Again! I applaud you on your post and your commitment as a christian. You truly are the slogan “I am not afraid”. Thank you for writing this.

    • Thank you so much friend. I was pretty dang nervous to publish this, so I appreciate your support. Means a lot. Have an awesome day. Hugs and love xox

  54. This really saddens me. It’s so easy to pick a scripture and run with it and truthfully it can be done with both parties. What story comes to mind to me is when the woman was about to be stoned and Jesus stepped in, both sides were full of sin but in defending her he also did not condone what she had done. When Jesus steps in he takes over he doesn’t choose sides. In my humanness I recognize that I cannot throw a stone at any candidate because I am either the rock thrower or the one being stoned. I am not in a place to judge either. However in his infinite power I also realize that I in my limited power I have no say on who gets elected. only he does and it gives me peace to know it’s already predistined. On this day in this hour God knows who is going to be the next President and he has a planned worked out already. My prayer is that regardless, I will always seek to find Jesus rather than to point out sin. In the deepest part of all of us, we are making decisions based off what we think is right. I cannot clean your filter just like I cannot clean my own. I don’t agree with a lot of things but I also remember the bible tells me one sin is not greater than the other. I respect your input nevertheless.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this deeply difficult issue. I appreciate you joining the dialogue. I too pray that God’s will be done, and yes – it is a comfort to know that He is in control. Go glad you stopped by. Hugs and love xox

    • This is an excellent point you bring to the discussion. I struggle with this myself. My bible study leader just last year brought home the point that there are no ‘big’ or ‘small’ sins, and I have to admit my tendency toward judgmentalism is a more constant sin than some others that I used to see as fairly major sins in others!!! Thanks for this well-written response.

      • I struggle with it also! And this election, covid arguments , which school options should parents choose, I’m learning to remind myself of this constantly.

  55. Thank you for having the guts to publish this post. It truly took courage. Truth is, you nailed it. I am astounded at the vitriol and double standards expressed in so many of the opinions. You truly have courage. Thanks again!

    • Thank you so much J, for your support. I was so nervous to publish it, so I really appreciate it! Hugs and love xox

  56. Thank you for the courage it took to share this message. I agree with everything you said and have been praying diligently for discernment within us all as we go throughout this election cycle. We may never find a candidate that we 100% support, but if we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us we will make decisions that align more closely with God’s word. I hope you are doing well. Bless you!

    • thank you so much Mrs. B. I really appreciate your support. i was so nervous to publish it, so that means a lot. glad it restonated with you. praying with you! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Longdi! so glad this hit home with oyu! have a great day! Hugs and love xox

  57. Such a powerful and beautifully written post. I must say I agree with you 100%. Regardless of how we may feel about certain people in power, we must protect the innocent. Thanks for sharing. Blessings

    • Thank you so much Jeff, I really appreciate your support. I was so nervous about publishing it, so that means a lot! you’re right! we must protect them! Hugs and love xox

  58. Bravo! Well said, well presented, and we are in complete agreement for Scripture, as you so well point out, clearly states, “You shall not murder.” Blessings!

    • thank you so much Darryl! I’m so glad this hit home with you 🙂 Amen! The first of the ten commandments! Hugs and love xox

    • THank you so much Lynn, I really appreciate your support! yes! oh my gosh it was so nerve wracking! i appreciate the encouragement. Hugs and love xox

  59. Read your post and there is so much that I could say. I also read some of the posts from others and to be honest the divide is so much more than what Kamala believes in. This country is really a mess, so voting for someone who believes differently than her won’t fix it. I know that God loves us all and forgives us all. I feel we will never ever be as one here on earth and to be honest if our actions here determines our fate we won’t be in Heaven either. I know that sounds harsh but hate runs deep here and it is showing so much these last few years. Let me be clear, when I say we, I am referring to our country, no one in particular, so to have hatred the way that we do, we have already lost the battle in God’s eyes. Yes love His littles ones as He does. My last thought, I really hate how people are going after Kamala. Regardless of anything, women whether you like them are not are a force to wrecking with, not be torn down as some have done in their response to you. This is exactly what I meant about being people of God!! Blessings

    • Thank you so much for sharing your heart on this. You’ve brought up a lot of really powerful points, and i thank you for sharing your perspective. You’re right – we need to be people of God, no matter if we agree or not on politics. We are one family of believers and should treat one another with the respect and love that demands. Hugs and love xox

  60. I’m also prolife and understand your concern but do believe we need to look at the whole candidate. How do they protect the underserved and unrepresented communities of all categories? What about our environment? What about immigrants fleeing terrifying circumstances in their homeland? What about putting people before the economy?

    • Thank you so much Mary for sharing your thoughts on this! That’s a really great point. Those questions are important to answer too, and should be looked at through a biblical lens. I appreciate this perspective – thank you for shining a light on it! Hugs and love xox

  61. As a person living in the Philippines, I don’t know much about Kamala and thank you for this post as I get more information about her. However, I could see the moral decay of the United States. It isn’t what it is before when the US is in the forefront in defending moral standards. I lament for the US. A house divided can never stand on its own.

Personally, my strong belief is not to vote. This world is not the world of God but the world of Satan. God is the One of sets and removes leaders and He can use the bad circumstances to fulfill His purpose. What we, Christians, should focus on is how we can better become a citizen of God’s kingdom, how we can enter into that, and most importantly, pray for it to come.

I admire your post and I would really not support anyone who support abortion. The only solution to this world’s problems is the coming Kingdom of Yahweh and may He speeds up that day.

    • Hi Joshua, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. You’re so right – the US is so fiercely divided right now, it makes me so sad. That’s a great point: how can we become good citizens of His kingdom! Big prayers are for sure needed! Hugs and love xox

  62. Adding another voice in support of this post, Caralyn. Well done! Even before Kamala joined the ticket, Joe Biden spoke in support of the New Green Deal, open borders, Medicare for illegals, limited energy production (when we are now energy-independent for the first time in a long time), defunding police, raising taxes (I’ve heard him say this on video)–to name a few issues. More so now than ever it seems, we must be informed voters who understand–to the best of our ability–the pros and cons of each issue and very carefully make our choices in November. Our nation is in trouble! But I am prayerfully hopeful we can reverse some highly detrimental trends, as seen in Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, etc.

    • Thank you so much for your puppet, Nancy. I’m glad it resonated with you! Yes! We need informed voters for sure! And big time prayer!! I agree! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much for your support. Yeah politics is pretty grim right now, that’s for sure! Hugs and love xox

  63. Please, girl, do not hold anything back. I commend you on your courage and strength of faith. You of all people should never question what is on your mind. Your life is a testimony to Life and the importance to those who have not been born yet. What a woman does with her body is truly within her. However we do not need to look at giving life to another as an illness. If anything carrying a child is the ultimate effort for any woman. If there is anyone who should be offended then allow them the to live with themselves. Love and understanding to you, 🌺💖🤗

    • Thank you so much! Glad it resonated with you. 🙂 big hugs to you my friend Hugs and love xox

  64. It is pretty hard to say abortion should be the mother’s choice when the DNA of both mother and baby are totally different. It is also pretty hard to say you have not committed murder when you have to scald the tiny person in saline in early days or dismember it piece by piece before removing it from the womb in later trimesters.

    • Thank you Beth for sharing your thoughts on this. You have brought up so so many powerful points. I wholeheartedly agree!!! Hugs and love xox

  65. I appreciate your honesty and conviction, I too am nervous about Kamalas support of abortion. So I hope to learn from connecting with you on this.
My first question is: is there a reputable article about Kamalas support of selling baby parts? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but I have learned to do my research especially when it comes to voting.

And two, I know Jesus says do not kill- so how do we juxtapose that with a rhetoric that is propelling people to set refugees houses on fire and kill them? (I can send a link if you would like- happened in Denver this month). How do we support a rhetoric that allows for children to be separated from families, face sickness and possible death? What about immigrants who have gotten sick In detainment and died? What about refugees who face a hurricane and Covid while sitting in refugee camps waiting to be allowed into our country- death is a certain possibility? How do we allow for people of color to be killed disproportionately by those we need to be able to trust?
And most obvious, what about those who have died unnecessarily due to mismanagement of Covid?

To me, the death and disregard for the image of God is much more dire at the hands of Trump. Yes! We need to hold Kamala accountable for her abortion actions through voting on bills, contacting reps, etc. (I can send you an app that does so easily). This one issue seems much more manageable than all the atrocities that could happen if Trump becomes president again.

I would love to talk more about this with you, in the hope of learning and growing. And I challenge you to look at all life as precious, babies, adults, teens, immigrants, refugees, Black, and brown. Because man I believe voting is the only way we are going to protect them!

    • Thank you so much Katt for sharing your heart on this difficult issue. Yes – there was an undercover journalist who obtained video of a California Planned Parenthood partaking in that activity. I will find the article for you later this morning (I’m in line at the grocery store! Haha) but you’re absolutely right – there are so many manifestations of prolife legislature, aside from just abortion. Those are so important to take into account as well. I’m horrified to learn what happened in Denver. That’s awful. Thank for so much for joining the dialogue. I so appreciate respectful conversation! It’s the way to build bridges and foster community!! Hugs and love xox

    • I agree. It is obvious that abortion is killing, but the lives of adults, immigrants, people of color, and refugees are also threatened. Voting for Trump doesn’t mean Jesus’s commands are fulfilled…

  66. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to educate us on this. I agree, it is so important to know the background of who we’re voting for. In many ways, it can seem like a lose/lose scenario at the polls, but your urge to pray-pray-pray is the wisest thing we can do. And yes, life is a non-negotiable. Lord, have mercy on us. We need You.

    • Thank you so much Andrea! I’m so glad this resonated with you. Yes! Prayer – big time prayer – is what we need right now!! Amen! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Chris, for sharing your heart on this. Yes! I agree – we need faithful leaders! Hugs and love xox

  67. A truly amazing, thoughtful, spirit filled, non judgmental post. If we could ALL think like this the world would take a deep breath and change. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you

    • thank you so much Brad, I really appreciate your support! i pray that people’s hearts be softened to those little babies! Hugs and love xox

  68. I truly believe we crossed a line in June and America will never be the same again. Old foundations are being burned, and a new wine and church form are rising to meet this flood. But beware, David and his mighty men went through a lot before the Ark was brought back into its proper place. I think you could be one of David’s mighty men, (LOL / Women) in this time. Keep praying and listening. Sail that sacred ship.

    • thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. very powerful food for thought! yes! we need to pray big time and be keen listeners for His voice! big hugs to you coc

  69. The real elephant in the room here most of you scared as hell of a woman of color coming into power because you think she will treat you the way that you all treat people of color.

    • Hi Peter, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I respectfully have to disagree, as that is not at all how I feel. I think it is wonderful that a woman of color is on the ticket. Absolutely fantastic and way overdue if you ask me. But just because she is a woman and a woman of color doesn’t mean that I can’t disagree with her politics. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and love xox

  70. I applaud your boldness in speaking out on this subject. It’s so sad to think about all the unborn that are aborted. I think it’s something like 1 out of every 4. Also there are less black babies born than there are black babies aborted in New York. Not many address this.

    • Thank you so much for your support. You’re right – it is so incredibly sad. It absolutely breaks my heart. Appreciate you stopping by. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much David for your support. I fully agree – astonishing! And so tragic. Hugs and love xox

  71. Amen. Thanks for sharing. Let’s truly stand up for the little guy. Also, I wonder how many people are connecting “I can’t breathe” enthusiasm with the abortion issue. If we’re called to “see something, do something”, then that should apply to protecting little babies on their way into this world. Let’s stand up for them.

    • I agree! We need to speak up for babies for sure. But not at the expense of all other lives. As Christians we aren’t going to line up with all politicians so we have to fight for what’s right in addition to our vote.

I would also be careful, I can’t breathe is specific to George Floyd and it’s important that we feel for him and the black community. Not make it about another issue.

And without trying to be argumentative, I will say I am often perplexed by this same issue in people who act and speak out (maybe even vote) only on the abortion issue. If we care for life we are called to care for all of it! That’s what Jesus did.

  72. Good for you to write and publish this blog- you are brave!
You are absolutely correct- we cannot in good conscience
support those who do not value life.
Praying for wisdom for myself, for direction as to when and how to speak boldly.

  73. Why are Trump supporters so endlessly angry? Why are they so filled with hate for their fellow Americans? And why do they think that behavior and mindset makes them good Christians?

  74. I made myself sit through an extremely graphic anti-abortion video to better understand your views. I have two friends who are nurses. One has graphically described the aftermath of an abortion to me. I still see the best way to protect babies is to provide love and support for their mothers.
Whenever I think of writing something controversial, I remember your courage. It is getting increasingly difficult to get to the truth on any issue. I have been mustering my courage lately, largely thanks to you. I have been trying to write what I know. What I know is children and young people and abusive relationships. I always come at things from that perspective. So many issues stem from abuse and neglect. I love hearing from egosumkenzie, as a policeman Is suspect he knows more than any of us would ever wish to know on this issue. It is a credit to you that you have created a forum, wherever people feel it is safe to disagree. I see there is one brave woman speaking up here, about having had an abortion. I would genuinely like to hear things from their perspective sometimes in your writing on this difficult topic. If it were me, I would be heading straight over to her blog if she has one.

  75. Thank you for writing this piece. In times as such as these, writing such piece and being vocal about it comes at the risk of cancel culture. But you know that all human beings are created in God’s image as states in Genesis.

I also recall Jeremiah 1:5 where God says “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.” It’s God who forms life. We often forget that. For me the candidates are less than ideal on either side. But I like to think that I’m voting for policies that uphold biblical values rather than destroy them.

    • Thank you so much Frankie – you’re right – there are definite risks for putting your opinion out there. Yes! that’s it for me too! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Christine for sharing your heart. Yes – gotta vote with those little babies in mind! Hugs and love xox

  76. Well said and thoughtfully reasoned. You cannot get any better reasoning than the voice of Jesus. Voters have to look at policy and not persona. Trump. like Patton, is a fighter. You higher him to project and protect your side. Everyone should pray. God bless you always.

    • Hey again Sandman! thank you – you’re right – policy and not personal! Hugs and love xox

  77. I am proud of your bravery to say what needed said. You are not alone. I have said to many that “the Presidential Election is NOT the Miss America Pageant – it’s not a personality test – it’s a policy vote.” And fyi: my vote aligns with what protects babies, business & just laws. 😘

    • Oh thank you so much, Dawn – you’re on a reading roll tonight! You’re absolutely right – it’s a policy vote! Me too! 🙂 Hugs and love xox

      • Indeed, I was! I wish I could carve out a consistent block of time to Read & Write – but God simply has not provided a routine Routine for my blogging-self yet. In due time if I remain patient, giggles. However, despite the delay…I always appreciate reading your warm & delightful wisdom. 💕

      • All in His timing! Life has so many seasons, each serving its own purpose!! And thank you again for saying that!

  78. On the day of the announcement I was serving as an Election Judge for the MN Primary. They’re supposed to have a balance of GOP to DEM. But I’m the only Conservative out of 8 election judges. Not supposed to talk about politics yet they do. When Kamala was announced these folks were almost high fiving. Yet all masked up that would’ve been bad. I guess my gravity is 1 Conservative is equal to 7 Dems (they are called DFL here). Btw they say Mali in ballots are the same as absentee ballots and they jumped all over me for that. Well have a great day.

    • Thank you so much for sharing this interesting perspective! Wow sounds like it was quite the scene. I guess we shall see in November! Gotta pray!! Hugs and love xox

  79. The number ONE topic that I base my political decisions on is protecting those who cannot do it themselves. Unborn children are the one group who absolutely have no power and no voice, but who should absolutely be protected. Good for you for informing your readers about Kamala Harris’ record.

  80. In my own perspective, Planned Parenthood is a form of tangible fear that one day a minority from a deprived area of town might take over. So many an obituary these days from white women espouse their racism by promoting “planned parenthood,” as if they all along had been in charge of creating the world, deliberately terminating births in the deprived areas. And where did Planned Parenthood erect their clinics but in the so-called deprived areas?

So you worked, even after you died, to leave a spirit in a place that you love so much that things might never change, even of the birth rate might die. With this secular thinking, empowering a world without a real God, who would ever want to live in such a world? With such overt racism?

  81. Spot on. I share your conviction here and your fears and consternation about the upcoming election and the choices we have. Thank you!

  82. I’m not too worried about what Kamala Harris thinks or doesn’t think about abortion. I’m Catholic and pro-life, too, but I also know that VPs have no authority over abortion decisions. That’s more a matter for the legislative branch, which makes the laws, or the judicial branch, which interprets them. The VP can’t even appoint people to these positions. It doesn’t matter to me what she wants in this case because she’s not going to be the one who decides what happens.

Even the President can’t appoint people to the legislative branch of government, so it doesn’t particularly matter what he wants, either. It’s not his job, and it’s not going to be, no matter who gets elected. I suppose he could appoint pro-abortion justices to the Supreme Court the next time one of the justices retires or dies, which will probably happen sometime in the next few years, considering their age, but that doesn’t matter too much, either, because the Supreme Court just interprets the law and can’t actually make it. If you want to make sure the laws and conditions surrounding abortion change, concentrate on Congress. They’re the people who could actually do something.

To tell the truth, I’ve become disenchanted with many supposedly pro-life politicians in general in the last several years. Even the ones who are in a position to do something often don’t when they get into office, and sometimes, it turns out that they’re not really as pro-life as advertised. It hasn’t really changed my mind, but it’s made me more discouraged and skeptical about these sorts of promises when they aren’t backed up with any real follow-through.

Psychologically speaking, people don’t really stop things that they’re doing just for being told “no.” It’s more effective to give them something else that’s more helpful and compelling to do instead. That’s why I really wish that we’d focus more on social support for mothers and families. There might not be anything that will completely eliminate abortion forever because there may be some people who will do it no matter what, but if there was more affordable medical support and psychological counseling for pregnant women and reliable child care for working mothers, I think that would greatly reduce the desperation and emotional distress that make people think that abortion is necessary in the first place, bringing down the overall demand. Abortion isn’t something people do because it’s fun and they like it; it’s something people do because, for various reasons, they think that they have to, that there are no other choices. Therefore, I think it’s important to build up the other choices. It really bothers me that Republican politicians fight what is probably the most effective and humane solutions to the problem tooth and nail, and it makes me question even more how much they’re really dedicated to the pro-life cause in the first place.

  83. I was a bit reticent you read this post at first. It was not at all what I expected!!!! We moved out of Kamala Harris’ California five years ago. And I have personal experience with her ( a courtroom story for another time).
Thank you so so much for stepping out of your comfort zone to write this post. I know it wasn’t easy for you, and I applaud your bravery. The world needs to be reminded of everything you just wrote.
We were very active in the pro-life movement in California, and I thank you for drawing attention to this platform. If we don’t take a stand for the right to life from womb to tomb and to stand up for these truly innocent victims, who will? It’s a fundamental, God-given gift, the most precious of all.
Judging by the responses you’ve received this far, it gives me great hope that there are more like-minded people out there than we can possibly imagine. Hopefully, we can vote in elected leaders across the board who will stand up for our G-d given and Constitutional rights.
I’m now following your blog. Keep up the good work and never lose faith!
