Savior in Chief?

Last Thursday, I was censored by Facebook. Again.

Yes, my most recent post, “Check Your Snark at the Door, Sister” — which very diplomatically expressed my light criticism towards Biden parading his “Catholic faith,” — was rejected by the powers that be over at Facebook.

Apparently, if you don’t have anything nice to say about Biden, you can’t say anything at all!

Sadly, this encroachment on my personal liberty of free speech, is nothing new. Every time I post something even remotely “pro-life” in stance, Mark Zuckerberg and his minions over at the tech mega-giant reject it. It’s happened now five different times.

But this time, it is just egregious. You read my post — 200 of you commented on it. There was absolutely nothing in it that warranted a censor!

Unless, of course, seeing a woman’s collar bones is now scandalous…

Which begs the question…what the hell is going on here?

How have we gotten to this point, where tech giants and liberal politics are now in bed together? And what does that mean for the future of this country? I don’t know about you, but my mind can imagine some downright terrifying scenarios, which…unfortunately, I doubt are strictly out of the realm of possibility, all things considered.

As though censoring my article examining Biden’s faith was enough, today, the Internet decided to pour salt in my wound.

Because what comes across my desk, but The New York Time’s headline story for today:

Twist the knife, why don’t you!

In case you didn’t catch that, allow me to repeat: the headline cites Biden as “the most religiously observant commander in chief” and that “his Catholic faith grounds his life and his policies.”

I literally laughed out loud when I read that.

Are you kidding me? His Catholic faith grounds his policies?

I’m not going to sit here and judge the man’s life, that is between him and God. And like him, I too, have a lot that I will need to answer for, when I reach the Pearly Gates.

But I can comment on his policies.

They are anti-Catholic. But you know where I’m going with that. You heard me vent about that in last Thursday’s censored article.

But what I want to pause and focus on tonight, is the terrifying slight of hand that the NY Times is expertly executing in this article. So seamlessly, that you may not have even noticed it.

The Ascendant “Liberal Christianity.”

Liberal Christianity.

Headed by, none other than our Savior in Chief: “Catholic” Joe Biden.

Quoting from the article: “And with Mr. Biden, a different, more liberal Christianity is ascendant: less focused on sexual politics and more on combating poverty, climate change and racial inequality.

Do you see what they’re doing? They’re splitting the Church in two.

The Church, arguably the only organization left that has the means and influence to threaten the power of the woke, liberal left. They’re trying to undercut it and divide it in two, by creating the narrative that this “new liberal Christianity,” headed by the sound-of-mind and inclusive Joe Biden, is the future of the faith.

Joe Biden’s “Liberal Christianity” is full of love and inclusivity — not focused on “sexual politics” (aka, protecting the unborn, defining marriage and gender on biblical and scientific principles) — but rather, combating poverty, climate change and racial inequality.

They’re trying to redefine what it means to be a Christian. Belong to the “old, unwoke” Christianity, and you’re just a cotton headed ninny muggins with their head buried in the sand, concerned with “sexual politics.” OK Boomer — why don’t you go answer your rotatry phone…I bet it’s another closeminded homophobe calling.

No. The new liberal Christianity has evolved. It’s higher thinking. It’s woke.

First of all, news flash: Christianity has always been concerned with combatting poverty and seeking racial equality. Have they never heard of social justice?? That movement is flourishing in the Church, and is the foundation of Christian thought and the Christian walk. Hello, Mother Teresa!?

And secondly: the Bible is unchanging. Thou shall not kill…last I checked, still stands. Love your neighbor…yep, still in effect.

But here’s the real kicker.

Again, watch for the slight of hand….quoting from the article: “Mr. Biden’s policy priorities reflect those of Pope Francis, who has sought to turn the church’s [sic] attention from sexual politics to issues like environmental protection, poverty and migration.

Did you see that? They’re trying to align Joe Biden and Pope Francis as the new “woke Catholic” sect that’s here to “rebrand” this whole Catholics-are-stuck-on-pro-life-garbage image. They’re trying to instill doubt and lure those wavering away from the sound dogma and teachings of the Church.

The fact is, Catholics, as it stands, are rather divided over the issue of abortion. Those who ardently adhere to the faith are staunchly against abortion, and are prolife. But those who are Catholic in name only tend to pick and choose which of the biblical and Church teachings they’re going to adopt, and pro-life views are often not on that list.

So what the NY Times is expertly doing here, is luring that crowd to the “dark side.” Oh look, you see? Biden AND the Pope are woke. They’ve turned away from pro-life policies. YOU SHOULD TOO.

Ah, the power of suggestion. Manipulation at its finest.

Turns out, though, that when it comes to Pope Francis, they’re absolutely wrong.

And this is the last thing.

I know, everyone and their brother has an opinion about Pope Francis. The media love him – because he will say things just vaguely enough, that the liberal media can take his soundbites and twist them to make it look like he’s abandoning traditional Catholic teachings, and is a radical force to be reckoned with.

Which, is not all wrong.

But when it comes to abortion, Pope Francis could not be more clear: abortion is wrong, and the Catholic faith is pro-life through and through.

Quoting Pope Francis in an audience he had with US bishops from January 2020, “protecting human life is the preeminent social and political issue.”

He could not have been more clear: “It is the most fundamental right. This is not first a religious issue; it’s a human rights issue.”

I will end with a powerful quote from Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann, who released this statement just a few days ago on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, after President Biden and VP Harris celebrated the decision as an advancement of women’s rights and health:

“It is deeply disturbing and tragic that any President would praise and commit to codifying a Supreme Court ruling that denies unborn children their most basic human and civil right, the right to life, under the euphemistic disguise of a health service. I take this opportunity to remind all Catholics that the Catechism states, ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.’ Public officials are responsible for not only their personal beliefs, but also the effects of their public actions. Roe’s elevation of abortion to the status of a protected right and its elimination of state restrictions paved the way for the violent deaths of more than 62 million innocent unborn children and for countless women who experience the heartache of loss, abandonment, and violence. We strongly urge the President to reject abortion and promote life-affirming aid to women and communities in need.”

Game. Set. Match.

“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5

  1. So many thoughts! Such a frightening time we live in! I shared this on my Facebook. Please let me know if you aren’t ok with that and I’ll take it down! ( I probably should have asked first! I’m sorry!)

    • Thank you friend – absolutely, it is a terrifying time indeed. And THANK YOU! I absolutely appreciate you passing this along. Means a lot!! So glad you stopped by. sending big hugs xox

      • I was wondering that as well! That’s actually part of the reason I did it! So far my repost is still up! Probably because I don’t have as many people reading my posts as she does!

  2. You are spot on with your post. Some people are just too sensitive and are not grounded in truth and reality; do not let them rattle you. We support you. Hugs and Love.

    • Thank you HJ. I appreciate that more than you will ever know. I support you too!!! 🙂 💛 Hugs and love xox

  3. I’m also gonna share this as it’s an important topic and underlines how far the liberal media will go to stretch the truth to fit their own narrative. They’re (Biden Administration) already off to a great start. Hope you are well Caralyn. 🙏

  4. In Pope Francis’ own words:
Pope Francis has consistently criticized the human and spiritual damage caused by global capitalism, widening inequality, and corporate sweatshops. Last week, he blamed the “god of money” for the extremist violence that is taking place around the world. A ruthless global economy, he argued, leads marginalized people to violence.

In 2013, he released a remarkable 84-page document in which he attacked unfettered capitalism as “a new tyranny,” criticized the “idolatry of money,” and urged politicians to guarantee all citizens “dignified work, education and healthcare.”

“Today we also have to say ‘thou shalt not’ to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills,” Pope Francis wrote. “How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points?”

    • thank you for sharing that. Pope Francis is definitely outspoken about a lot of different. topics. Hugs and love xox

  5. Great post Caralyn! It’s strange because when I dare speak up for my prolife beliefs, a lot of people tell me that I’m in the wrong because there is racial injustice and poverty to fight. But none of these issues are mutually exclusive! You can have a more moderate/liberal view of many different issues and be prolife. And there is no such thing as a liberal or even conservative Jesus by political party standards. The Bible is what we must base our faith off of. Jesus is Lord and King, and that gives us the most blessed hope!

    • Thank you so much Emily! I’m so glad this resonated with you! And I’m right there with you – I get that push back too. There can be both injustices happening simultaneously. And none are mutually exclusively, like you said! amen – Jesus is King! Hugs and love xox

  6. I enjoyed your previous blog post and this one too. You have a firm opinion and some very powerful points to make. I do need to ask if you read Pope Francis latest book Dare to Dream? Have you read his encyclicals with the Holy Spirit as guide?

The Pope trying to get us away from binary dialog as counterproductive.

To make real progress in saving the unborn requires new approaches as we’ve discussed previously. Law, as Saint Paul said, confirms our sins, mercy, on the other hand, brings a new path forward.

    • Hi Gerry, thank you so much for your support and encouragement. it truly means so so much. I have not read much of Pope Francis, to be honest. I should though. I am more of a JPII kind of gal. Interesting thoughts! thanks again! Hugs and love xox

  7. Tbh I left FB. My account still exists but I haven’t used it since 2017… and honestly, I don’t miss Facebook. The good thing about blogging is that you have freedom of speech on WP. It hardly seems worth it posting on highly-censored platforms like FB. I’m pro-life too… and I just can’t be bothered to use Facebook. This platform which should be promoting authenticity has really gone downhill over the years, in my humble opinion.

It takes strong people like you to stand up to the Facebook Giant. Good for you!! Try to ignore the haters if you can… those with a voice, especially those with large followings, are bound to attract more haters (sadly).

    • Hi Hilary, I don’t blame you – I may not be far behind. It is really getting absurd how unabashedly left they are in their policies and practices. Makes me quite sad. I agree – free speech is something we should never ever take for granted! thankyou for your support! Hugs and love xox

    • Yes, we have free speech here on WP . . . for now. Look forward to Big Tech or leftist eventually using this to come after WP. Connect via house churches. Know who knows Jesus and is following Him, including loving our enemies, which is reeeally hard at times. But doable because Jesus never commanded us without empowering us. 🙂

  8. The guy is a crook, shame on Americans for putting this rotten apple in the White House. I no longer have a president, again.

    • Thanks, John for sharing your thoughts on this. Yeah, I am disappointed in America too, for putting him in office. Hugs and love xox

      • Thanks for not being angry with me on that comment. I am so terribly disappointed.

I believe that in time, these people will realise the mistake they’ve made.

This country is already in dire straights, placing a person like him in the highest office in the nation is a terrible mistake.

  9. Everything I’ve read of Biden’s action, executive orders, etc. have caused me great concern. I sincerely believe that the US will quickly pivot from censoring Christians to persecuting them. I know that doesn’t seem possibly here, but I think it is. For example, Biden’s order that transgender girls should be allowed on girls sport teams includes the penalty of withholding federal funds. I’m sur that was written with Christian schools in mind. First, start squeezing them out of society. Second – openly persecute.

Prayer, prayer, and more prayer. May God keep us empowered by the Holy Spirit to never forsake being open about our faith, never deny it. Just like the first apostles and early church.

    • GREAT concern. GREAT. Thanks Jeff for sharing your thoughts. I really hope and pray that it doesn’t get to that point, but I’m afraid you may be right. Oh yes – Christian schools were absolutely in mind. I mean look at the lawsuit against the Little Sisters of the Poor. Just atrocious. Amen – joining you in that important prayer. Hope your week is off to a great start. Hugs and love to you and your girls! xoxo

      • We are well. Short week as Julie and I are taking a long weekend to Florida to visit some friend that retired there. I’m always thinking about you/praying for you – for your B3 ministry and your safety in NYC!!!!

      • Oh my gosh that’s so great!!! I hope you guys have a wonderful and safe trip! Thank you!

  10. Amen! Very well said all around, Caralyn! From the censoring of free speech to the blasphemous “ascendant liberal Christianity,” I completely agree with your thoughts on all of it! I even heard today that Facebook is banning the posting of Bible verses now. I have warned about the anti-Christian New World Order many times on my blog and when I was on Twitter, and I have taken heat for it many times. Even from those who claim to know Christ. I even had a guy write a post about me and he said I was doing “incalculable damage to the name of Christ” for speaking the truth about the NWO. It’s sad that some who profess to know Christ will not stand for the truth. It is also very sad that some believers think it’s okay to murder babies. It is also sad that people believe anything Joe Biden says about being grounded in faith in God. I pray people stay rooted in the truth of God’s Word even as they try to ban and erase God, His Word, and our faith from society. Thank you for always speaking the truth boldly! God bless you!

    • Thank you Ryan! Oh my gosh, you’re kidding!!!!! BIBLE VERSES!?!? Great balls of fire, that makes my blood boil if it’s true!! Heaven, help us! Wolf in sheep’s clothing, that one. Joining you in Prayer. Gotta stay rooted in the Word and with our eyes focused on God! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi, Ryan. Don’t hit the panic button too quickly. I just posted 1 Timothy 2:1-6 on Facebook (but you will not find me there as I use a friend’s account). Also referenced Biblegateway.com, one of the best sites for exploring the Bible, and it is still up. ‘Course, I only have a couple “friends” there so it may slide under the FB fact-checkers’ radar for a while.

  11. Thank you for having the courage to write this pro-life article. I am sorry FB took it down. As a devote Catholic it saddens me to read in the media that Joe Biden is a devote Catholic when his executive orders so far have been in direct contrast to his supposed faith.

    • Thank you so much Julie for your kind words and support. I so agree. you put it so eloquently: they have been in direct contrast to his supposed faith. I’m going to be praying really hard for him for the next four years — or however long until Kamala takes over….then we’ll REALLY need the prayers!!!! Hugs and love xox

  12. The Church has a history of having been infected by liberal movements like Modernism, and Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is Biden’s more obvious connection since it’s so defiantly Marxist and has roots in South America. We all know that Argentina is a hotbed of communism.

    • Thank you Larry, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. It’s really true – we’ve got to pray pray pray for this country! Hugs and love xox

  13. I really enjoy reading your comments. I appreciate your balanced view. I share your faith-based conservativism, but I also like how you show acceptance and kindness even to others who may not agree with you. The polarizing politics has already started, and touting the President as a spiritual Commander in Chief is not any better or different from how this same thing was done with the last administration. We as voters and citizens need to keep a level head, know what we believe, and not allow one-sided communication sources lead us blindly. My allegiance goes first to Jesus, then the state. It doesn’t make us any less patriotic to put our faith first. But to blend the cross and the flag historically speaking has never worked out well. Either the flag will run over the cross, or the flag will perform heinous crimes in the name of religion. I’m writing from a Christian perspective. The same can be true for any marriage between religion and politics. Thank you for your leadership and powerful voice. When you’re ready to run for office, you’ve got my vote. 🙂

    • Thank you Timothy! I really appreciate your kind words and support. Yes – though I obviously have very strong beliefs, I also respect that other people feel and believe differently, and I respect that. All viewpoints are welcome here! Amen – allegiance first to Jesus! that’s the best news I’ve heard all day! Hugs and love xox

  14. That’s weird considering the right is constantly tearing up Biden left and right on Facebook on every issue, including Abortion over this past weekend. Doesnt make much sense to me.

It almost sounds as if Facebook has it out for anyone with religious beliefs or something. Whatever it is as I had mentioned in your last post that we are dealing with a ton of evil right now.

Biden is doing everything possible to trash the right and Christians. All we can do is pray God will set things right again because these are dark days at the moment.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree – his policies are purposefully polarizing. very frightening. gotta pray hard! Hugs and love xox

  15. I hear ya. I have no idea what is going on those tech giants. Maybe they are intellectually insecure? Christian apologist Bobby Conway said something to the effect that the more you hear people screaming and trying to cancel you, the more likely that they feel threatened by the real truth. The real truth, not what liberals call truth. Do you remember the time they showed ultrasounds of fetuses at Times Square? All the hecklers and pro-abortion people shut up. God loves the unborn and we ought to do the same.

  16. I am on fire about this! Your last post actually had me taking a look in the mirror and reminding myself to pray for our leadership. It chills me to the depths of my soul to see your plea for what is right and good be censored. Keep speaking truth. You are inspiring more people than you know. .

    • Thank you Jenn! I really appreciate your kind words, and I’m glad thursday’s post made you think! I agree – it is scary how they are controlling what we put out there. i really appreciate your kind words. Hugs and love xox

  17. You hit the nail on the head, Caralyn, with how the world is trying to divide the church. It’s a tactic of the enemy, and it’s affecting Protestants, too. I’m disturbed by the worldly views I see consistently expressed by people I know who claim to be Christians. I feel like they are preaching their own gospels that do not include Jesus. When we stop keeping the Bible as our authority, we can easily be led astray by the opinions of the culture around us.

As far as abortion goes – I’ve been a teenage mother, a low-income single mother, the mother of a child with a disability, and experienced a pregnancy where I was told my baby wasn’t going to make it & my own life could have been in danger. I have four beautiful children (and a grandchild now!) and I have never regretted the choice to keep my babies. Every one of them is a blessing from God.

Keep fighting the good fight and speaking the truth.

    • thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad this resonated with you. You’re so right – that is how the enemy “gets” to people – by isolating them! What’s that saying, a divided house cannot stand? VERY scary indeed. That’s so true – there is One Gospel – and it is unchanging! and gosh, thank yuo for sharing your story. I am so moved! wow — God is so good. Yes, blessings, each and every one of them! Hugs and love xox

  18. Heya beauty, you know I always love to read you. I come from a different place a lot of times…different place in my Christian walk, my politics…BUT I believe you speak the truth. It’s true that liberals (of which I’m one — on a good day more a wannabe part of the radical left) didn’t invent mercy, justice, love. GOD did. Jesus is the original Savior and no one else can do it…I’m not gonna get into this, but I gotta say socialism did work in the Book of Acts! Okay, not trying to start a fight…;) seriously. But I can’t ignore the fact that FB is censoring you. That is some freaky s***. I am sorry. I do agree with you that if I was blessed with a human life beginning in my body, I would do my best, with God’s help, to let it live. Often, I disagree with you most stridently on feminist issues, and of course on what I have interpreted as your support of Trump (if I have not read carefully and have misinterpreted that, I apologize). But I love you. I can’t help it. Here is to Jesus bringing out the best in all of us in 2021. Here is to speaking what we believe. Here is to God continuing to equip you for His healing work with people who suffer from anorexia. Here is to LOVE.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your heart on this. I really do appreciate you taking the time to read and have such an open mind! that is what is needed for our country to move forward together. Amen – Here’s to Jesus bringing out the best of all of us in 2021!! I am joining you and raising a glass to that!!!!! TO LOVE!!! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi, hiddenstories (interesting nom de guerre; would love to know the meaning behind that).
The Acts “socialism” was entirely voluntary, not government imposed. History of socialist STATES always involve silencing dissenters and removing “undesirables” who do not tow the party line. It is a failed experiment in government. Benevolent dictatorship is better, but also unsustainable (see 1 and 2 Kings).
Democracy is the only system that can work until too many people start to realize they can vote in pols who will coddle them with “benefits” like Social Security, which was the first major step into socialism and prolonged the Depression for more than 10 years. Just sayin’. 😉

      • Socialism and democracy aren’t antithetical. Capitalism and socialism would be. None of these ideas are necessarily antiChristian or antibible. The OT had many socialist laws. To whom much is given much is REQUIRED. At the end of the day you can be a Christian Capitalist or a Christian socialist but if you think government is the answer you’ve missed the true Kingdom.

  19. Oh goodness, this is all so distressing–but it does keep me praying, so that’s a good thing! God bless you for speaking out, dear Sister!!! Much Love💖

    • thank you Rene, you’re right – this is definitely going to keep us anchored in prayer! So glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

      • I really want to applaud your courage in posting from your faith-beliefs…we may indeed be entering a time when Christians will lose their freedom of speech while those who oppose God will continue speaking without censure. It’s distressing, but God will be looking for those of us who are not afraid to risk all for Christ. And this is why prayer is more important now than ever–if we can do nothing else, we can be prayer warriors, so I am convicted to PRAY MORE! Much love to you, beautiful Sister💖

      • Thank you so much Rene! Gosh, I really appreciate your encouragement. You’re right – PRAY MORE! Hugs and love xox

      • You’re sincerely welcome. Last night I watched a program on Daystar in which a rabbi reminded us that we need not fear, only keep our eyes and hands/arms lifted toward Heaven/the Lord, as that is where our help comes from. It was just the word I needed before I went to sleep! And I think of all the many times in both the Old and New Testaments that God tells us, “Take Courage!” or “Don’t Be Afraid!” because the “I AM” is here with us. It is the enemy who causes fear–because he himself is terrified, knowing his reign is coming to an end one day soon when Jesus returns. Satan is operating in all those who seek to silence Christians, and those who are led to forsake Biblical values–they are blind, confused, ignorant…and some are evil. As I fell asleep I remembered the vow I made in 2011 that I will not let the “rocks cry out” louder than my voice–in standing for the Lord who has given me Everything, and saves me everyday. So I continue to pray for you and our Brethren, that we not feel tossed about in the current climate–so much fear and oppression. We must cling to the Truth that God is for us! He fights our battles all the way to Victory. He strengthens and comforts us with His Word. He is our Good Good Father who loves us unfailingly, everlastingly–our HOPE is IN HIM. Have a blessed day, dear heart💖

      • yes!!!! our eyes lifted towards Heaven! Amen! Hope in Him!!! you too, dear friend! this was just the encouragement I needed, thank you! Hugs and love xox

      • I have one more thing to add (sorry to take up all your time!)–in my Bible reading for today (my fave part of everyday!), I came upon this wonderfully encouraging verse: Psalm 22:3-5 which ends with, “THEY TRUSTED IN YOU AND WERE NEVER DISGRACED”. Now that is Good New, yes! Much love from your old Auntie, little Sister xxoo

  20. Stand your ground regardless of the liberal media trying to override the free speech opportunity we have from the constitution. My blog cannot be set up for money or ads because it violates policy and has Christian based principles. Well, well I will continue to blog for free then. I love your site and wish I could make mine as cool as yours.

    • thank you Kevin for the kind words of encouragement. Yes! Keep exercising that right of free speech!!! 🙂 cheering for you! Hugs and love xox

  21. Sad. I start to add “scary” but I remind myself of faith. God willing. Anyway, I deleted my fb, Twitter, IG, pinterest, 🤔 we can’t have shutting down of free speech, censorship. I continue to hear about a lot of it….still; like North Korea, etc., we’re being spoonfed what fits their agenda aka propaganda.

    • Hi Dawn, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. That’s such a great idea to free yourself from social media! it’s claws sink deep (i. would certainly know!) glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

    • i agree! thanks for sharing your thoughts and taking the time to read this! Hugs and love xox

  22. I know this isn’t the first time you’ve been Unpersoned by the Big Tech Overlords — this is only going to get worse. Right now, they’re just Unpersoning/Deplatforming people… it won’t be too long before they’re lining us up against the wall and putting bullets in our heads.

    • Oh gosh, I really hope it doesn’t get to that point! censoring, yes, but I’m praying the later wont come to fruition! Hugs and love xox

      • I hope it doesn’t as well; but historic trends don’t support a peaceful resolution to tyranny.

      • That is the only answer, really; I stopped praying for God’s blessing on our country a few years ago and instead starting praying he withholds His judgment. Abraham bargained for God to not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for a mere 10 righteous (and even 10 couldn’t be found) — how many righteous are in America?

(Sorry if I’m a downer tonight — I try to be more upbeat with you… you make me want to be more optimistic than I usually am).

      • Yes – definitely. I pray that too! No need to filter your emotions here! It’s all welcome! 🙂

      • Gab (dot com) is the free speech alternative to twitter. If you set up a group (i.e., the equivalent of a fb page) it’s the free speech alternative to fb. Gab has its own servers– like physical things owned and operated by the owners. (The “face” of Gab is the CEO (I think) who is a devout Christian.) As I said, it’s free speech so some corners can get a little unwieldy. There are rules. Basically do not do anything illegal. But aside from that, you block or mute whoever you want. They don’t unless they see child porn or something. There has been a huge migration to Gab the last few weeks so there have been some hiccups but they are tolerable. Oh. And its funded in three ways. • Awesome!! Oh my gosh I’m sorry I misspelled your name! Marica! Thanks!

  23. Interesting read and I like learning about other peoples feelings and thoughts. I’m no liberal or conservative, hell I don’t know what I am anymore. You have a problem with liberal Christianity and I have a problem with Conservative Christianity. In particular the white republican Jesus that highlights one sin (abortion) and ignores countless other sins. I struggled with the abortion issue when I chose to vote for Biden but in my opinion he was the lesser of two evils. I don’t want to debate and I respect your opinions. I enjoy reading your stuff even if I don’t agree. I’m going to post a poem about abortion soon called “Unwanted Love” I hope you take a peak at it. Take care

    • Thank you so much friend. I appreciate you having an open mind, and being able to set aside differences with respect! That is what is needed to heal this country! i look forward to checking out your poem! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Adrienne! I’m so glad this hit home with you! I appreciate the support! Hugs and love xox

  24. BBB I loved everything about this post!!!! You always stand your ground in an unwaivering faith!!!!! Joey Biden can play president all he wants, his true colors are being shown everywhere from the recent funding of abortions worldwide to his multiple signing to remove any of the good President Trump had in place……YUP what a wonderful fine christian man we have in the white house. Great facade or so he thinks. His big UNITY message holds no water when you look around and see all the riots, abortions, murders, hate crimes and yet there he stands saying we can ban together and get things done TOGETHER. Really??? A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8). God Bless you for taking a stand in your free speech rights.
    Julia

    • Thank you so much Julia! I’m so glad this resonated with you. And I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support. I agree – actions certainly speak louder than words!! Hugs and love xox

  25. Often, I read your articles and am impressed with your honesty, transparency and level-headedness (which seems to be lacking these days!) I’m sorry that you were censored by Facebook, but not surprised based on what I know about their progressive stance. Sadly, conservative voices and Christian voices have come “into the crosshairs” of a number of popular social media sites in recent months. I have distanced myself from some forms of media because it is so easy to get lured into fruitless, negative, divisive discussions that accomplish very little. Americans must begin to speak up though for what is right and speak against what is wrong while we still have the opportunity to do so. As for President Biden, I will simply quote from a scripture Matthew 7:16-17, “By their fruit you will recognize them…likewise every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.” This passage is referring to true and false prophets, but it applies to people in general. This is a time when as Christians we need to return to the tenets of the faith, How can one do that? One way is by reading and studying God’s word, the bible. This is God’s love letter to us as His children. In Proverbs, we read, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light on my path.” In this increasingly dark world, we need that light now more than ever! Shalom to you!

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. Yeah I’m going to steer clear from the politics for a bit after this. Unless, of course, something newsworthy comes up. That’s wise to limit your media exposure. Especially these days. Yes! More light! Hugs and love xox

  26. The truth will always be the truth. It cannot be changed. There have always been consequences for wrongdoing, and there always will be. That will never be squashed out.

  27. Not surprised one bit. I’m trying not to get sucked in to the media circus because it isn’t good for my mental and spiritual walk. I pray that God has a plan in all this. All through the Bible he used sinners and the misguided to fulfill some of his biggest accomplishments. I pray he might be doing the same thing now. Either way, my eyes are on Jesus. The media can say whatever they want, we know the truth. So long as we pray for Truth and Justice, we can’t go wrong, right?

    • Thanks Lisa, yeah sad but true. Yes! I will join you in that important prayer. Gotta remember that He is in control! Hugs and love xox

  28. As for who qualifies as a Christian, 2 Timothy 2:19 clears that up – the Lord knows those who are His and let everyone who names the Name of the Lord abstain from wickedness.
As for Facebook and its censoring of free speech, keep speaking out, trust in the LORD, and never give up, never, never, never. (Thank you, Winston Churchill.)

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Yes – never ever give up! God is in control and He will prevail. Hugs and love xox

  29. When Facebook outlaws Caralyn, then only outlaws will have Facebook. (sorry, couldn’t resist….) Hang in there! Even though I don’t always agree, I still drop everything to read you when I get an e-alert you posted. Yes, even Rachel Maddow! Sorry Rach, LOL

  30. Yes, keep praying. God is our hope. Keep fighting the good fight. God can still do anything He wants to do. Even now. Always. Pray and trust Him and do the work He has given you to do. I am in your corner. Love you, as always, beautiful friend. Hugs! XO 😄 ❤

  31. I do believe this is your best blog entry EVER! Your boldness for the truth of Christ is what this world needs to hear right now. As the praise song by Cain & Zach Williams proclaims, “Rise Up!”

    • Thank you Jolie, that’s so kind of you to say. Very sad the state of things! Hugs and love xox

  32. Well and courageously stated, as always. The powerful left-wing mainstream news media is effectively swaying public opinion to call good evil and evil good. I am not a Catholic. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One thing that our churches have in common is a strong central leadership. This is a powerful deterrent to doctrine being driven simply by popular opinion. Since your church is so much bigger than ours, I pray for the Pope and the other leadership of the Catholic church.

    • Thank you so much Don, I really appreciate your kind words and support. Yes! There is power in prayer. Joining you! Hugs and love xox

  33. It’s stunning how much FB is censoring any opposition to the thinking. I was thinking earlier today how I’m not seeing many of my outspoken friends on FB recently, but figured that they, like me, might be drawing back from social media or moving to other sites. Then found out many of them have been in FB jail for the silliest reasons. Hard to know whether to laugh or cry. Thanks for speaking out … even in your snark I feel you are quite tame compared to the vitriol that has been spoken again conservatives and especially President Trump. Keep fighting the good fight …

    • It really is stunning and saddening to see. Oh my gosh – Facebook jail!!? The is wild. I appreciate your support. Hugs and love xox

      • My original comment was supposed to say “opposition to the left”. And yes, “FB jail” is a real things. My friends have joked about it, but just moments ago, a leading conservative columnist known state-wide where I live, announced that she was just allowed back on FB after being banned for several days. She didn’t hint at what the offending post was about, but no doubt had to do with either a pro-life stance or the election.

      • I haven’t tried either of those but am on MeWe. Have never been good at keeping up with all the social media trends so never found my way to Twitter, thankfully.

      • It takes a little getting used to. Like FB at the beginning you have a lot of people trying to fill up feeds with stuff to buy and garbage, but it’s easy to block them. I think that it will get better as more of people join … bottom line is that there is a point where we have to choose between the ease of FB or the desire to be free of the hold it has on its users. Honestly, I feel myself sucked back to the ease of FB way too often.

      • Interesting! As they say, the internet is Always like the Wild West! Very intriguing. Hugs and love xox

  34. Wanted you to know that you really encouraged me by writing this post tonight, and I wrote a post tonight (titled “Honoring Jesus”) where I included a link to your post and talked a bit about it. Thanks again for speaking the truth, sister! This post is very refreshing! God bless you!

  35. Splitting and dividing us in all areas. Gaslighting us. I even have decided our webhost may not be safe in the near future and am making backup plans.

Despite all of this, I have hope. Blessings to you!

    • It really is quite scary. But yes – we can always place our hope in Him! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much Sue! You’re the second person who mentioned gab.com…i’ve never heard of it! i’ll have to check it out! thank you! Hugs and love xox

    • hahah thank you so much Greg, I appreciate that! glad you stopped by 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  36. Dear Caralyn 🙂

You prolly remember my last comment on your previous post — right?

Did you get that whether it’s FB, NYT, G, whatever (yes, again, just to emphasize the point: also Patreon) — this is all the same game. None of these companies are nice. They’re not good. They have only one bottom line: Profit. If this weren’t what motivates their decisions, the stockholders could, should and would revolt. The algorithic nature of this machinery is quite far-reaching.

The machine is not human. In the case of FB, it’s much larger than the so-called “Oversight Board” (which is essentially little more a bogus PR front).

If you want to talk about this one-to-one, I would gladly call you up /note that even though the G company has made significant advances in building out its own telephone machinery surveillance systems, voice recognition remains a very difficult nut to crack 😉 ) — just msg me with your # (and best availablity times) and I will reach out to you. If you prefer it the other way around, you can reach me ca. 07:00 – 22:00 GMT @ +4915786836137 (I’m not afraid of spam, because that number is quite expensive to call 😉 ).

There are alternatives. I can explain these. The main issue is that most people are so completely brainwashed, that when I begin to explain them their brains go into a sort of “freak out” mode and therefore shut down without being able to understand how this stuff works. It’s quite similar to the situation in the movie you mentioned a while back (“The Social Dilemma”) — which, by the way, is also a prop a ganda msg brought to you by the G company (remember my review of it @ connect.data.blog/2020/09/16/herding-millennials-a-new-agenda-for-tech ? 😉 ).

I am ready, willing and able to help.

    🙂 Norbert

    • Thank you so much Norbert for this insightful response! You’re right – they are all in it for the profit. That’s so kind of you to offer your assistance! yeah – the social dilemma, while terrifying, ALSO had an agenda, like you said! so glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

  37. WOW! Love the way this has been written! It reminds me of what the bible says, these people have a form of Godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5) Jesus would flat out call them hypocrites and I’m pretty sure his blood would be at boiling point with all this hypocrisy, mine certainly is! Thank you for the post. God bless you and rejoice if they are censoring you…. it simply means you are speaking the truth!

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this! I agree – Jesus would definitely have some thoughts about the state of this world. so glad this resonated with you. Hugs and love xox

  38. Wow, I can’t believe Facebook has actually been censoring you! This is why nobody I know uses Facebook anymore. One of my friends actually had her account blocked on Twitter because she criticized our governor (California is a hot mess right now). You’re right to ask this question: “How have we gotten to this point, where tech giants and liberal politics are now in bed together?”

It’s honestly so sad how politically charged and divisive our nation is right now. And the media (tech giants and all) are making it worse. I’m glad you have a platform like this blog to share your thoughts without censorship.

    – Katie

    • Hi Katie, i know, isn’t it just so upsetting!? Meanwhile, things like “OnlyFan” and other pornographic content is not only fair game, but glorified and celebrated! But heaven forbid you talk about prolife issues! Yeah, Facebook is really on the decline. And you’re right – it’s really really sad. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! i appreciate your support! Hugs and love xox

  39. HI there, first I’d like to say that I’m sorry that Facebook is still flagging you when they should be a place for free discussion of the most difficult issues that we face as a society of mixed opinions and faiths. I also think the work you do is very important in helping young women see a way forward and a positive life after eating disorders. We may not agree on everything in our faith but we should find ways to move forward positively. I did have one question about the pro-life stance – do you also oppose the death penalty? I couldn’t find a way to search your blog to find out.
OR if any of your readers knows just comment below.
    Thanks,
    Katie

    • Hi Katie! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. and gosh, thank you for saying that. Absolutely – I think that open minds, and working together towards a collective goal is so healing for this country. so thank YOU for living with such a open and respectful heart! In terms of the death penalty, no I do not believe in the death penalty. I don’t think it is up to us to determine whether a person lives or dies, regardless of their crime. That is up to God. What do you think? Thanks again for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much for your prayers. Yeah, definitely not, but God is in control and I trust Him! Hugs and love xox

  40. I agree ith you on your stance against abortion. Abortion is anathema to God. Anyone that wants to be anything in the Democrat party must support abortion. Anyone that votes for any Democrat, IMHO, is just as guilty as the doctor with the drill and vacuum. You can’t kill babies all week and sing praises to Jesus on Sunday. It doesn’t wok that way.

Abortion has become the litmus test of the Democrat party. If you don’t support abortion, you are not welcome there-in. The group “Democrats for Life” is a schill group designed to deflect that argument, but in the end, by their silence lend their support. Remember, this is not a group designed to inflict ill on the abortion industry but merely deceive the public.

The Catholic Church, in giving Biden the sacraments 2days before his coronation, became participants in this sin of murder. Liberal Christianity is only liberal, it certainly isn’t Christian.

    God bless you.

    • Wow, Dennis. What a powerful response. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I am right there with ya!! It is sadly the litmus test. And I so agree – silence speaks louder than words in a lot of cases, like this one! Hugs and love xox

  41. Amen sister!!! Thank you so much for speaking out on this Caralyn!! Love your strong opinion and that it reflects your faith in Him!!!🙏🙏🙏

    • Hi Ali! Thank you so much! You are always such a source of positivity and light and encouragement, and every time I see your smiling face on your icon pop up on my notifications, I always smile! so thank you for being that source of Christ’s light in my life! Hope you have a wonderful afternoon! Hugs and love xox

      • Very sweet comment!! This made my day!
I always enjoy your posts…such fresh insight and content but faithful and reflective of God’s timeless word with your thoughts and wisdom ❤️

    • I agree! *especially* the New York Times of all things!!!!!!! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  42. I am both nervous and expectant of what is to come…because today, it’s Facebook censoring a blogger. But what happens when they start censoring things a church account posts? Including sermons, which currently our church live streams one service on Sunday morning through Facebook. I have gone back through the last few months of my Facebook posts, and there are a few that are blank now. I honestly don’t even remember what it was I had posted, so I don’t know what was removed (if it was something I shared, maybe the original poster got censored?).

I do fear how this will divide the church even more…those who are “woke” on one side in order to be accepted in this world, and those who are sticking to the truth of the Bible, without adding a “yeah, but…” to it. Keep posting the truth, girl.

    • Hi Ellen, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this! I agree – censorship is a terrifying notion. We saw in the election this happen when the Washington Post published the breaking news about Hunter Biden’s computer — it was censored and SHUT DOWN – Twitter even suspended their account. And then only AFTER Biden won, did the SAME news about Hunter Biden finally come out. The censorship is coming from an agenda’d place, and it is really scary the power that it has. I dare say, that censored information completely changed the outcome of the election. Wild. Just wild. And scary. And I agree – a house divided cannot stand, and I pray that the Christian community can persevere the persecution, truly, that’s what it is, or unfortunately will become. I hope and pray not, but we are going to see. And yes! the “yeah, but’s” have got to exit our vocabulary! hahah Thank you for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  43. I’m truly sorry this occurred, yet I’m very encouraged that it did. You stated some extremely uncomfortable truths. Those on the other side of your argument do not believe anyone else has a right of opinion contrary to theirs. True discourse is gone. Yet, in all things, God’s plan will move forward. There is an old, but decidedly non-Christian quote: “The wheels of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.” Things will get more difficult for the near future. While it’s a struggle to not worry sometimes, the good thing is I have read the end of the story! Blessings!

    • Hi Jim, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. Yes, unfcomfortable truths, that’s exactly what they are! Amen – God’s plan will prevail! Hugs and love xox

  44. I truthfully am saddened that they are restricting speech right now. It makes me want to continue to be bold and I’m glad that you are as well! We don’t have to fear, but there could come a day when they aren’t just restricting political posts but they may restrict Christians In general. But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats ; do not be frightened.”
    1 Peter 3:14
On a side note we have the same name kind of…I’m Kara Lynne

  45. I am not Catholic, but I am a Christian and to think that he is being considered the most religiously observant commander in chief is laughable at best. BUT it’s the censorship across all media platforms that truly concerns me. I don’t like where this country is headed. May God have mercy on us all.

    • Hi friend! thank you so much for sharing your heart on this! I know, laughable right? In terms of Catholic/Christian…I like to think that we’re all on the same team! 🙂 All journeying towards the same place, and brother and sisters in Christ!! 🙂 And you’re right – the censorship is highly concerning!!!! Lord have mercy indeed!!! Hugs and love xox

  46. The current political scene is abhorrent…bad for our liberties and bad for the moral future of America (what are they going to teach the children?). Something that is good for all of us to be aware of is the Smith–Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, which legalizes propaganda on American soil. Once we realize that “journalists” are not required to tell the truth and, quite frankly, can twist stories however they like, we can learn to take everything with a grain of salt. Similarly, though the protection of free speech is limited to government entities, with the big tech monopolies banning people from platforms and services willy-nilly, do we really have free speech? I’m truly fearful of where we are headed. Keep speaking up… between the wokeness folks, big tech and fake Christians, there are a lot of people who want us to keep quiet and push their own agenda.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this! You’re right – abhorrent is a perfect word for it. Oh wow – this was the first I’ve heard of the Smity Mundt Modernization Act…gosh, scary about journliasts. Yeah, everytime I read or watch a story on the MSM, I always scratch my head and wonder, were they paid by the left to be so blatantly biased?! It is WILD. I agree – we must be keep our eyes on God and support one another in the good fight. Hugs and love xox

  47. Excellent article! Thank you for shining light on the sneaky strategies of the enemy who is using Biden and others as his puppets. It is a scary time, but thankfully God is in control and will hold all of us to account. He won’t be mocked! Still, it amazes me that Biden, who has done more to destroy our nation in three days than even we who knew what was coming could imagine, has such biased, deceiving support. Shouldn’t surprise me, but it does. (Palm on face here.) I’m so thankful that my King is Jesus and he is the one we will ALL bow a knee to one day – probably sooner now than any of us thought!

    • Thank you so much Laura for your kind words and encouragement. You’re right – the enemy is absolutely on the prowl right now, and is frankly, having a field day. Tearing families apart in political division, the pandemic suffering, the identity crisis in our young people, the Godless policies coming out of the government, the animosity between neighbors…he has a grip on this country, and we are in desperate need of Jesus. We must PRAY PRAY PRAY, and then pray some more!!!!! I so agree. Every knee shall bow!!!!! Hugs and love xox

  48. So many good points. We must continue to carry forth the message of Christ and that message is love, faith and charity. However, that does not include manipulating the scripture to suit the current political climate. God is the same today, yesterday and forever. His word stands and it is in our best interest to adhere to it. ❤️

    • Thank you so much Angela, I really appreciate that ! You’re absolutely right – we must be bold Christian, and not be afraid to share His message and His love. Amen – He is unchanging! Hugs and love xox

  49. It’s truly a sad day in our country when the government or the private sector stifles free speech. The private sector has a responsibility as the primary bulletin board of exchanging ideas to keep the platform open to all opinions.

It appears that many have forgotten our history. Listening to others thoughts and improving upon them leads to better ideas. “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.” Proverbs 15:22. There is much to be gained in dissenting views.

    • Thank you so much Cindy, I really appreciate your support and kind words. Hope you have a wonderful night. Hugs and love xox

  50. I get it: people vote based on their religious beliefs. Some people – as I’ve learned through commenting on your blog – strictly so, which I have a legitimate problem with. “With which I have a legitimate problem with”, for any Grammar Nazis out there…and that’s the *only* time I’ll make a Nazi reference here.
*Because*, my problem here isn’t with people who vote their dogma – er, conscience. People are going to be influenced and react how they will, whether they are aware of that influence or not.
No, my issue here is that some seem to expect laws in this country built on a foundation of religious freedom to reflect not just their religious beliefs, but to enforce them on others who may not share that religious view.
To split a hair, if you believe that life begins at fertilization, great. But legally, there’s a 12 week definition of when an embryo becomes a human being and 20 week threshold to cross before showing clear signs of being a person. Before 12 weeks, this life is basically a parasite. Or, y’know…a salad.
If you’re hell bent on living in a society that follows a religious doctrine as law, this ain’t it, Heaven’s Patriot. Might I suggest Vatican City or *maybe* Mauritania? I’m pretty sure you would not enjoy living in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Afghanistan or any of the other less scientifically and equality evolved countries in the world that are escaping my recollect.
My point goes back to your post about tolerance and unity, specifically, behavioral tolerance. If we’re all going to live together in even a tenuous peace, we have got to unlearn this “my way or the highway” mentality we’ve been whipped into over the last 5-40 years, depending on your timeline.
Personally, I’ve watched this coming down the pike for 40+ years since seeing the GOP get on top of the Religious Right – although in a dark room so only God could see – back in the early 80s. Since then, it’s been a slow, hypocritical march toward where we are today: voting for a completely unqualified and reprehensible human to lead us simply because he pushed a button we might approve of, setting all other disqualifiers aside in spite of our best interests and voting based on a book.
We’ve got to be better – and I mean “smarter” – than that. The president has to lead all Americans in their pursuit of life & liberty. Hopefully, that results in a baseline of happiness for citizens, but if not…that might not be the president’s fault so much as the individual’s ability to handle not always getting their way. (Again, another reason Trump was so ill suited to the presidency, he’s still throwing a tantrum about losing and refusing to see his loss as anything but the result of a rigged election, despite proof to the contrary and legal rulings on the matter)
We can all live together. It just takes an effort. For some, that might mean following their religious path without insisting everyone else walk the same one.

    • Dear galby68,
As a medical technologist there were times I was assigned to sort and file “products of abortion.” Putting a baby’s tiny body even of a 10 week old child, in a jar of formaldehyde or assembling parts from a D&C to make sure the doctor “got it all”, I knew what I was handling.
It was not a parasite but the remains of a human being.
It astounds me that scientists can get all excited about finding “life” on another planet if they ever find a single living cell (which they have not yet), but a collection of millions of cells with a brain and response to stimuli is only a “parasite.” So sad.

      • I shouldn’t have put that word out there…forgot my audience. Of course you jump on that and miss the broader point of 330 million people living together on a single piece of land.
        Onward, Christian soldier.
FWIW, I put myself through college working nights in a hospital OR. I’ve handled a Tijuana Taxi, myself. But I’m sure your vivid imagery will provoke the desired horror and reactive response from other readers…

      • Hi, again, galby. My intention is not to provoke horror or reactive responses. The images of “fetuses” in utero speak for themselves.
The problems of overpopulation, if you will recall from your college history and literature classes, was what promoted migration to the New World in the 1700s and served as part of the basis of The Christmas Carol, as many in England did not believe they could sustain much more growth beyond the 29 million already there. There are now 68,000,000 China’s current population is around 1.5 billion. with a difference in land mass from the US less than 5%.
The P-Bomb was popular when I was younger with horror stories of overpopulation, none of which have panned out.
Where ever you are located, unless you are urban-bound, there is a lot of land around us that can both sustain a larger population and housing.
More importantly, the racial disparity in abortions is abysmal with five times as many black babies being aborted as white ones. Again, this is sad.
This reply is not in anger or to incite anger. We who follow Jesus are commanded, not suggested, to love those who disagree with us. That does not mean we simply bow to what those who oppose us want, but we are required to read, understand and share information as we understand it.

    • Hi Galby, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I think that your perception of people only voting on their “strictly religious beliefs” is that, for many people, myself included, religion isn’t just a sometimes, convenience, wishy-washy thing, but actually a way of life. Something they’ve committed their lives to, and built their lives upon, making sacrifices and life choices in line with those beliefs along the way. So yes, though it may look like a person is just “voting their strict dogma,” the fact is, they’re voting that way because it MATTERS to that person. It matters A LOT.

And to touch on your words about abortion, I respect your belief about the 12 weeks, but I respectfully disagree. Wholeheartedly. I believe that life begins at conception. It is at that moment that a woman becomes a mother. It is at that moment that the embryo becomes a human being, with separate DNA than the mother’s, a separate body from the mother, and separate, protected rights — the right to life. The right to live.
I understand that we may never agree on this, but I do invite you to watch the movie, “Unplanned,” and I’d love to have a conversation with you about it afterwards. Hugs and love xox

      • Thanks for the thoughtful response, Caralyn. I think that might be the first time my Voice of Treason opinion on one of your posts has warranted more than just a “Thank you for sharing your opinion” type reply from you, so I take it seriously. Believe it or not, I’m pretty sure I have Unplanned in a watchlist on one streamer or another, because it sure sounds familiar.
And seriously, I hope my point about the president leading an entire nation, not just the American Christians hit home. While other leaders might have said stronger words or passed on more liberal justices in seeming deference to their religious base, I think – especially in Trump’s case – that they were just winking at their constituency. I think with Biden, we may not all get exactly what we want, but I think he will at least be coming from a position of trying to serve all, even if it’s imperfectly so. 😊

      • No prob. I do hope you watch it…I saw it three different times. There’s an authenticity to it because the author of the book (turned movie) was the director of Planned Parenthood.

  51. It is unfortunate as I mentioned in response to an earlier blog of yours, I do not believe we are ever going back to “normal” as we knew it before the pandemic. The left is using the pandemic to further infringe on citizen’s rights, as will be seen in restricting travel, to the point that law enforcement will be responsible for arresting violators. And you will not be able to complain on Twitter, Facebook or other social media because conservative voices are being silenced.

Ben Franklin said, “Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.” It has begun.

I believe the Christ-follower’s focus must move away from politics to evangelism, as the principles enshrined in our Constitution are Biblical-based. Only a people committed to Jesus can really experience the liberty we have enjoyed. Ever since the 1920s our prosperity began to be worshiped more than God. Then with FDR, when people began to give away their liberty to get out of the Depression, we have moved consistently away from the founding principles.
It is now a short slide now to full government control over details of our lives that would have been unthinkable before 1960.
Join the Jesus Revolution and live as if He is King . . . because He IS! 🙂
Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20)

    • Hi friend, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. Sadly, I think you’re right. I think it’s going to take a long, long time for things to return to how we once lived. And unfortunately, yes – we’ve allowed a new level of infringement on our personal liberties to become “normal.” That’s going to hard to back pedal from. Amen – a Jesus Revolution. i like that. Hugs and love xox

  52. Christianity took a stand for racial equality in the first century when Paul wrote things like-There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thought on this! You’re so right – we are ALL one in Christ. Paul was the first equality warrior! and good on him for it! Hugs and love xox

  53. We just read the article you are talking about yesterday from the NY times and were sickened by its bias and manipulation. We stand with you in concern for your country (and our world) when we see big tech censoring any other point of view but their political agenda of the left. Thanks for your brave stand and I am praying for you right now. Well done. From Australia.

    • thank you so much Ross, for sharing your thoughts on this. Yes – manipulation at its finest, truly. Thank you for your support and prayers. It means more than you know. There is power in prayer! Hugs and love xox

  54. Paul Elie of the NYTimes should be embarrassed writing such uninformed drivel. It’s obvious he knows nothing about the Catholic Church, the Pope or our Catholic religion. I read this the other night, too, and was blown away by the stupidity of it but also terrified that the uninformed public will take this as their ‘gospel’. SMH

    • you’re right about that, Mary! He really should!!! amen – absolutely BLOWN AWAY!!! praying hard for this country!!!!! Hugs and love xox

  55. I ran out of tea while victory sipping all your well made points. Keep ladling truth, I’ll keep liking and sharing it. Censor though they will, I’ll do my part to fight it with you.

    • Hahah thank you Eden, you’re kind to say that! Also very funny!! 🫖🫖🫖 have a great night!

  56. I have read in a 2012 book “Petrus Romania” by Cris Putnam and Thomas Horn that it was prophesied hundreds of years ago that the current Pope would be the “False Prophet” of Revelation. With Pope Francis supporting Chrislam I believe this as this could be the beginning of the One World Religion. Do you think Biden could be the Antichrist as he could “save” America from COVID-19, though it’s said they manufactured it?

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, Nick. What an terrifyingly interesting thought. To be honest I haven’t considered it, nor do I frankly want to entertain such a scary thought. I think that the end times are a very real thing. I think that no one knows when Jesus will return. And I just pray that He blanket is in His protection. Hugs and love xox

  57. Greatly said young lady. You should be very proud of yourself for standing up for what’s right and for being bold about God’s Truths. Don’t ever compromise cause it’s cowardly, and many “so call believers” are falling in the trap of being political about these moral issues that the presidency is representing. You continue to have a voice for truth and those that here His voice will support your calling. God bless and protect you with His precious blood. AMEN!!!

    • Thank you Giselle! I really appreciate such wonderfully supportive words. Amen – God’s truth will always ring true. I pray to be His instrument! Thank you for the prayers!! God bless and protect you too, my dear friend! Hugs and love xox

  58. Nothing new, it became especially bad since, 2014-15, when a snowflake generation became loud and silencing and canceling is the rage. Paired with actual rage, instead of debating skills and communication. It is OK to disagree, it is OK to try to debate one’s points, it is not OK to handle things like communists.

    • Thank you Robert for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree – mutual respect and healthy dialogue gonna long way. Hugs and love xox

  59. A lot of thoughts on this. I do tend to be on the more “liberal” side.

I think an issue we’re dealing with is that a lot of people like to divide things by liberal and conservative, even in religious circles. That includes both individuals and media. But especially in Catholicism, those binary labels for a church that well outdates those political labels is rather limiting. Some positions of the church, such as environmental stewardship, are “liberal” and would look more Bidenesque. Other policies are “conservative” and would not favor him.

I actually think there are VERY few (if any) Catholic politicians in the US who are 100 percent in line with church teachings. When we realize that, I think it serves as a reality check that the church is neither conservative nor liberal…it just is.

As for Biden, from what I hear he actually is a pretty faithful church attender. But that doesn’t mean he or anyone is the savior of anything (except Jesus). Nor do I see him as anti-Church. He, like most Catholics, falls somewhere in the middle I think–someone who has a deep faith from what I can tell, but not necessarily a faith that 100 percent goes along with church teachings (which can be said for a lot of people).

  60. Keep preaching! When I was teaching Sunday school in the old Video College of Biblical Knowledge days, I had an old R. C. Sproul video playing. He said something along the lines of “Liberal Christian… Wait a minute. That is not an oxymoron. In my view, it is an impossibility.” I was shocked that he would make such a bold statement; I had to rewind and play that part again. I kinda, sorta, agree with him, but there may be some Liberal Christians that are so ill-informed about the Bible, they do not know they are being swayed by secular untruth as it filters into the different denominations, as you said, by Christians in name only. We need to be grounded in biblical truth and you do a great job of expressing it.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree – oxymoron!! Gotta stay grounded in the Word! Appreciate your kind words! Hugs and love xox

  61. Preach! One day, very soon I believe those of who call ourselves Christians are going to have to choose and we going to follow Jesus or are we going to go along with the crowd. Makes me think of Jeremiah 24:15 – Choose for yourselves this day who you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the LORD.

    Keep on sharing the truth!!

    • Hi Lori, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I think you’re right – we’re going to have to walk the talk! Hugs and love xox

  63. Great article. It seems many people, Including Christ followers, do not understand the difference between being “woke” to a new “Christianity” and being awakened by the Holy Spirit. You are clearly awakened. Keep writing until more people listen.

    Pastor Carol

    • Thank you Carol, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. Yes! We must listen for the Holy Spirit! Hugs and love xox

    • oh girl i feel you. i think you’re right. praying for him and our country. Hugs and love xox

  64. Very sad the way that things have turned out. I do have hope though that the “liberal Christians” are a minority still in this country compared to the rest of us who know the truth and seek to uphold it. It is also my hope that the sinful agenda and corruption will be uncovered soon and Biden’s support will greatly decrease. An impeachment is a tad too ambitious of me to hope for at the present time, especially with him pulling so much support from the media who can make a pile of poop look shiny if it feeds their agenda lol

    • Thank you Riley, for sharing your hear on this. I agree – I am certainly praying for that too!!! hahah i laughed out loud at your comment about the media — couldn’t have said it better myself! have a wonderful weekend! Hugs and love xox

  65. Good read! Its a topsy turvy world we live in, but we need to stay true to ourselves. 62 million babies killed makes me cry, even one makes me sob. Sad to think about it…but in my humble opinion it is wrong. God help us, but we must have faith that there are still people that think life is important…born and unborn.. #AdoptNotAbort

    • Thank you so much! It really is so sad. Heartbreaking truly. I pray every day that hearts be changed and abortion come to an end. Bit of a tall order, but with God, nothing is impossible! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  66. It is a badge of honor to have fb not publish one of your blogs–although, infuriating. People are going to eventually move off fb, and find other social media sites that do not hinder free speech. You go girl!! Keep telling truth!! So proud of you!!

    • Thank you for saying that Katie! When you put it that way, you’re definitely right! Thanks for your encouragement! Hugs and love xox

  67. I said at the beginning of the Trump administration that nothing material would change related to abortion during his term, and it hasn’t. It’s still as legal as it was before, and I don’t think that’s going to change during the Biden administration either for one reason and one reason only – the American public hasn’t changed. Politicians cater to what people want or think they want, and I’m firmly convinced that the American public as a whole doesn’t know what it really wants. I think that’s what’s really behind a lot of the turmoil we’re seeing. People are grasping at and fighting over some of the superficial things they think they want in the short term, but as long as they keep doing that, the long term problems are going to stick around.

I consider myself pretty pragmatic, but I’m more a long-term planning kind of person than most because that’s what pays off in the end. I’m Catholic, too, and my church didn’t just stage protests when an abortion clinic moved into a nearby strip mall. I mean, people from the church did that, too, but we can go a lot further than that. We put our money where our mouth is. We took up collections and rented the office next door to theirs and set up a rival service. It offers medical assistance to pregnant women plus free infant supplies, housing, employment assistance and training, and adoption through Catholic Social Services if they decide not to keep the baby. Our services are either free or low cost because we fund them ourselves through the church, which puts us ahead of any for-profit business and it’s designed to cater to people who don’t really want an abortion but just feel so desperate that they feel like there’s no other choice. Our service gives them some real choices. We haven’t eliminated the competition, but we’ve cut into it with what we have to offer. I suppose we could buy the whole building eventually and kick them out, but then, they’d move somewhere else, and we’d have to start the process all over again. As it stands, they bring people to our door who didn’t even know we were there or had something to offer them. We can poach their customers as they come, and we can keep doing this indefinitely because we have the advantage of numbers to keep this service funded and supplied. Yes, it’s a social service, and it’s also the competition that comes with capitalism. The business that best answers the clients’ needs succeeds. That’s actually what I’d like to see the government do on a larger scale – offer a real choice, set up viable alternatives, and plan for the long term.

So, that’s why I’m not worried about Biden or little things like face masks. Heck, people wore face masks for the 1918/1919 Influenza Pandemic, too, and then that ended, and it was Roaring 20s. It didn’t last because the situation changed. They didn’t give up all of their freedoms forever, and we haven’t either. This is just a short-term, pain-in-the-neck thing that really could be managed better to make it even shorter. I’m not impressed. As for the longer-term things, some of us have already made our plans, and they’ve been operating for years. It’s a matter of knowing what’s really important and being willing to do what’s necessary to make it happen.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this difficult topic. You bring up a lot of great points. Gosh, I am certainly ready for the roaring twenties! Hugs and love xox

      • I don’t know if I feel like “roaring” right now, but it is reassuring to think of how things pass and life moves on.

During the 1920s, one of my great-great- aunts actually ran a speakeasy out of her house. I think it was in her basement or something. Rumor had it that she got away with it because she had a policy of always giving free drinks to “men in uniform.” (Cops also wear uniforms. Wink, wink.) I’m a non-drinker myself, but I think I’d like a secret room in my house just because that would be awesome. I don’t have a real purpose for one, I just think it would be a cool thing to have.

      • You’re right, as they say, this too shall pass. oh wow what a cool story!!!

  68. These are the days of Divine Mercy. St. Faustian, St. John Paul II, and others have alerted us. Though no one knows the day of hour, we’re not so far from seeing our Lord again. In these days, love speaks louder than lies, and peace triumphs over strife and chaos. Find His peace in you (that’s for each of us) and then share it with your neighbors. That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it! Great job, Caralyn. Stay strong!

  69. Hi Caralyn, I am so proud of you! This is a wonderful article, I love how you state the truth and stand for what is just and right. Your courage is hororable! I know that God and His Son Jesus hold you in high esteem. You are doing so much to further the words and values of our Maker and of our Savior. It is obvious that God blesses you in your life and all that you do!
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to read this post and comment on it. I hope that you are able to see this.

    • Hi Delores! Gosh thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad it resonated with you! Amen- I am so grateful for ye second chance that God has given me!! And I’m grateful for wonderful supportive friends like you! Have a wonderful day! Hugs and love xox

  70. No such thing as liberal Christianity – also Matthew 24 makes it clear many will say they are the saviour it’s a lie so I enjoyed reading your post. Christianity must follow Christs teachings.

Social justice and equitable government are beyond any human ruler.

  71. Interesting take I’m declared a liberal Democrat by most on the opposite side of the fence and we’d probably have to agree to disagree on more than one issue but Facebook often censors me as well. So if their censoring you and their censoring me, then who isn’t being censored. I’ve reported hate speech, threats of violence and even people making thinly veiled death threats or going as to tell me in detail how they want to see me or people like me die, only to receive the condescending message from facebook that what that person or group shared/said was ok and I should just ignore it or block them. So whether Facebook is condoning attacks on moderate conservatives by those on the far left or condoning and/or censoring them, and their condoning attacks and also censoring those on the moderate left. Then it stands to reason that Facebook is catering to the extremists on both sides and perhaps the wise thing to do should be for all of us to leave Facebook as its seemingly only pitting us against each other to serve it’s own agenda.

    • Thank you Bras for sharing your thoughts on this. You bring up some great points. At the end of the day, Facebook may not be the amazing platform we had it chalked up to be. Hugs and love xox
