Caralyn, your story is so powerfully spoken. Although I watched your Memphis video, this one really came from the heart. It brought tears to my eyes as I heard you relate your journey. We are broken and need Jesus for abundant life. Although it might not be an eating disorder, but we all deal with pride and poverty of spirit and need life breathed into our dead bones. Loved how you said God gives us second and more chances and he lovingly restores us. You will be doing more of these talks. Your voice encourages and directs us all to the life giving love of Jesus. Thank you so much for this and watching it on Good Friday has made the story of Christ come to life and it made me cry. What a blessings and I believe that it was a divine invatation from God to see what He can do and continues to do.

I’m only a little of the way in, not yet into the depths of the disease — but this thought just occurred to me: Is resisting desires a good or a bad thing?
thank you for this question…i think it has to do with the desire — if it was put into one’s heart by God or by the enemy.
*Fascinating*! 😀 (you need to think of Spock’s voice [played by Leonard Nimoy in the original Star Trek TV series] 😉 )
You’ve reminded me of one of my favorite dialogs of Socrates (namely the one with Euthyphro).
You say it has to do with the desire — but then instead you mention that it depends on the *origin* of the desire (this is also very closely related to what Socrates and Euthyphro discuss).
Your faith has made you whole, and GOD is pleased. Years ago I could see you coming as a servant of GOD for so many people who could use your help. Many more opportunities will come your way. Spoken from the heart you will touch so many more. GOD bless.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. There is nothing we, as mere humans, can do on this earth to speak life and hope to the hearts of those in need like the word of our testimony. However, unlike testimonies in many secular groups, those that are based upon the true delivery and healing of the grace and mercy of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, offer true power to heal. As you have experienced, and so eloquently expressed, if we allow Jesus to guide and control our lives/recoveries, we can finally experience victory, joy, and true (renewed) life in Him! Thank you again for sharing this video, I know from experience how nerve wracking such public testimonies can be; however, there is such a sweet release that comes with truly and honestly sharing from our hearts in order to try to help others!
