100 Down, Kamala in the Wings

Oh friends. I’m gonna be honest, I feel a little bad for the deluge of disdain that is to follow, because to be honest, I feel like I’m picking on the runt of the litter. You know what I mean? Like I’m bullying the kid that gets picked last for dodgeball or something. Because, clearly, President Biden is not “all there” anymore, and frankly, I feel bad for the guy. He’s being puppeted and paraded around as the “easy-to-swallow” mouthpiece by the radical far left, and to be honest, a man in his condition should be enjoying his last coherent days surrounded by his family and grandkids. So honestly, my heart goes out to the guy.

Anywho. If you watched the President’s address to Congress last night — and miraculously didn’t fall asleep through it– perhaps, like me, it had you wanting to take spoons and gouge out your eyes.

Ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic.

I spent the entirety of the speech seeing red in sheer contempt of this man who is, with no attempt at restraint, completely unraveling the social, economical and political fabric that has, throughout history, made the United States of America the greatest nation on earth.

Radical policy aside, what was the most evident last night, was that Biden visibly declined as the speech went on. It was clear that, by the end of his hour and five minute address, the man was exhausted and couldn’t physically endure such strain on his 78 year old body, and his garbled and jumbled language was evident of that.

But I don’t want to focus on last night’s demonstration of incompetency. I want to instead focus on the fact that today is Biden’s 100th day in office.

One hundred days.

I was talking to a friend this week in preparation for this post, and I asked her how she would describe Biden’s presidency so far in three words. And without skipping a beat, she said:

“Dishonest. Disastrous. Deteriorating.”

Well, please…don’t hold back.

Biden kept talking about hope last night. Hope this. Hope that. “America is rising anew. Choosing hope over fear. Truth over lies. Light over darkness.” — Please, hit me with another cliche. Throw in a “live, laugh, love” why don’t you….C’mon, man!

But that’s the irony of it.

America has never felt more divided than it does right now. It is in a multifaceted state of disaster.

Even considering that America is starting to reopen from the pandemic. And the verdict of the Derek Chauvin trial. Even considering all the rioting and looting of this summer, America has never felt more hostile and divisive than it does right now.

And it’s coming from the White House.

Or more specifically, it’s coming from the lies from the White House.

Lies that America is systemically racist. Lies that we need to live in fear, even after getting vaccinated. Efforts to promote racial hostility through critical race theory. Giving into domestic terrorism and threats of looting in the name of “justice.” Instilling distrust and disrespect towards our men and women on police forces. Encouraging doxxing of people on the Internet, and using cell phone videos to promote radical activism.

We’re living through a dishonest administration that is seeking to tear down the America that once was, and rebuild an unrecognizable dystopia where fiction is fact, and fact makes you intolerant.

Look, I don’t need to sit here and tell you that his 6 trillion dollar spending spree has been unthinkably irresponsible. I don’t have to tell you how detrimental to the economy it will be to raise corporate taxes to 28%. Nor do I have to mention how, his social policies are not only amoral, but changing the nature of society as we know.

As the value of the dollar disintegrates while crime and hostility in cities soar, this “vision of hope” that Biden keeps touting will be nothing more than what Biden, himself, represents: a hollow promise, offered through a comforting facade.

Good thing my hope comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and earth.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. -Psalm 46: 1-2

So there’s your political take from me.

I would say, 100 days down, 1,341 more to go, but then we all know that it’s only a matter of time before President Kamala Harris publicly takes over.

My question for you is, what three words would YOU use to describe the first 100 days of Biden’s administration so far? There are no wrong answers, I am truly curious. Because with only a 52% approval rating, I know there are bound to be some interesting answers!!

“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5

  1. I can’t seem to come up with more than one word: sad. However, I am praying and thankful we can trust God I matter what. May people know Jesus is Lord and no one is worth our worship, adoration, or praise, but Him.

    • Hi Hope, I am so right with you there on that one: sad. indeed. Thank you for sharing that hopeful reminder! He is our Hope! Hugs and love xox

  2. Deception, sneaky and scary.

We can see some results if you look closely to the change we are about to experience, for example check out the price of wood increase. People are selling their houses for 12% more than their value. The bubble will pop.

    • Hi Theresa! Thank you for your three words! i would definitely have to agree. You’re so right about that. it’s really scary to think what’s ahead for out nation! Hugs and love xox

  3. Hey, Caralyn!

Your friend hit the nail on the head right on! May God have mercy on us! It’s scary if you think how just the other day America is so no longer the America we grew up in. But that’s how “great” nations fall, right? Classic example is the great nations in 1 & 2 Kings. When a nation is fully devoted to turn away from God, we get these results, sadly.

My three words for the 100 days: (1) Lies; (2) Communism; & (3) Totalitarianism. Just in case you need a bonus number, (4) Wickedness.

    Hugs!

    • Thank you so much, friend! I’m glad this hit home with you. You’re right – America is unrecognizable, and it’s really really sad. You’re right. And wow – what powerful words. Agreeing with you 100%! Especially number 4! Hugs and love xox

  4. He’s gotten vaccines out in a major way, which is the most important thing any president can do right now. I have to give him credit there. But doubling cap gains for high earners will kill a lot of jobs, I think. Companies just won’t get funded because investors won’t have the money to fund them.

    • Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Yes, I agree – the vaccines are incredibly important. I’m glad he was able to pick up where President Trump left off on his Herculean effort. It really was a medical miracle! Hugs and love xox

      • Medical miracles are medical miracles no matter which side we’re on! 🙂 and all with the same goal: getting the country vaccinated and kicking covid’s butt!!! 🙂

  5. You go, girl! Love how you effortlessly move from stuffed shells to presidential politics. You’re amazing. Here’s my take. After Biden serves more than two years, he will step down on his own for health reasons -OR- he will be forced out because of declining mental acuity. Kamala can serve out the remainder of his term PLUS two FULL terms (only if Biden goes past the two year mark). Kamala will have Nancy be her VP for the remainder of Biden’s term and then she will retire. Then it just goes south from there… at least that’s their plan. I think God has other plans, though.

    • hahha you’re too funny, thank you M! Yeah, when you put it that way, i pulled off an imPASTAble transition 😉 heheheh Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I think you’re right – it’s only a matter of time. I sure hope God has other plans!!! Hugs and love xox

  6. “America has never felt more divided than it does right now.” You might be right, and certainly things are bad. But I recently watched a US Civil War video series, and passions were high and divisions deep before the first shot was fired. Personally, I feel like I’m not from ’round here, I’m just passing through. “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.” Philippians 3:20 NLT

    • Hi Mark, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. Yes – I cannot imagine the severity of division during that time. Amen – citizens of Heaven! Hugs and love xox

  7. I feel sad for all of you who need to call the other side unfit, instead of sticking to issues. There was a lot of teasing of Reagan in his day. He was a good man no matter his politics. He did indeed turn out to have dementia eventually. Spitting Image used to do a real number on him. Have you all no real issues to campaign on?

    • Hi friend, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I’m sorry if this offended you. My only reason to bring up his health is that he is the leader of our nation, and that job is a highly demanding and taxing job, that even the most healthy person would have to be on top of his or her game to do. I did try to offer some of the issues I find concerning. But honestly, I find his deteriorating health a national security issue. It’s nothing against him personally, its just for the good of our country. thank you for stopping by and for joining the dialogue. Hugs and love xox

      • I read your blog to understand the other perspective. No need to apologize for expressing your views but I do feel this post is unnecessarily vitriolic and in a country which has teetered on the brink of tearing itself apart, healing seems to be what is needed.

      • thank you for clarifying. i fully agree – healing is definitely needed!

  8. Caralyn, I like reading your blog. I’ve come to look forward to it. I find your story, the way you’ve overcome your challenges, and your faith to be encouraging material for my own struggles. I’ve loved too the way that you’ve been honest and friendly in your discourse with others. You’ve taken a “this is what I believe and your welcome to believe what you want to believe” approach that I’ve found to be enlightening and hopeful that maybe we, as a society, have more in common than it might first appear.

Saying that, I must say that I was disappointed to read tonight’s blog. Instead of standing up strong in your own beliefs, I found your comments to be mean and spiteful, like you wanted a street fight, instead of persuading anyone to your way of thinking.

You used words like he’s “not all there” and a “puppet.” You wrote “a man in his condition should be enjoying his last coherent days surrounded by his family and grandkids.” What condition is that? Elderly? Wow, I better go tell my elderly mother to call it a day, she’s over 70, her best days are behind her. No, I don’t think that’s what you were saying, but that’s how it came off to me. I remember when people used to make those same jokes about President Reagan and it wasn’t right then and it’s not right now.

You point out President Biden’s lies. The last president couldn’t open his mouth without letting out a lie on many things that were easily trackable. I’m no left wing liberal. I’m as conservative as they come, but even I was able to see that Pres. Trump brought out the worst in us. Yes, he appointed conservative judges, but he’s also the same man that put the pressure of the presidency on the VP and state of Georgia to change the vote. I’m sorry I don’t see “Win at all costs” in the Constitution or the Bible for that matter.

I’m sorry, I don’t want to get into a political debate with you. I’m not great debater and it’s not the reason I decided to write. I simply wanted to tell you that I don’t think this is a direction you have to go. I’m sure others will be high fiving you and calling me any number of names, and that’s fine, but I thought I needed to let you know. I think you’re better than petty names and Fox news innuendos. You blog is better than that. You’re better than that.

For what it’s worth. Thanks for hearing me out. Good evening and God Bless You!

    • Brian, I am right there with you. I am 55 and I heard a lot of ageism and judgement and not a lot of grace. If we can’t learn to see the good in others no matter where they are on the path, we are not living as Jesus would. And isn’t that the goal. I am rudely awakened that maybe I have 20 more “good” years and then am I just supposed to hang out with my grandkids and not serve in any capacity? Get out of the way so younger folk can serve? Sorry, that’s not me, let me serve until the day I pass from this earth, whatever that age may be. I have an IT volunteer at my organization that is almost 80 and she is still doing amazing things, can code with the best of them and she is more spry than most 50 year-olds I know. Heck, she plays golf 2 days a week and WALKS the course. I love this blog and Caralyn, but this is not a side I want to see more of. I believe you have to be true to yourself, but tearing others down is not the way to do it.

      • Hi Charminfoth, thank you for joining the dialogue. I apologize that my words came across as ageist. That was not my intent at all. I was referring to, what I believe are early signs of dementia in President Biden, not his age. Heaven knows I would *never* say something like that about a person based on their age. The greatest wisdom in the world comes from those who have walked a long road and have foresight and experience to draw from. I apologize that my words were hurtful and offensive, and I thank you for helping me see the error in my ways. Sending hugs and love. xox

    • This is the kind of shaming for having a viewpoint different than your own that is frighteningly anti-constitutional. Free speech means you can voice your opinion. If you are offended, she still has the right to voice her opinion. And this shaming for voicing an opinion is stifling. You wrote your opinion but attacked her. Guess what? Still free speech. Free speech is invaluable and we must agree to that and agree to disagree. Beware of shaming someone for enjoying what is still the basis of the freedoms we possess in America. Her opinion is valid and yours is also valid. Do not attack her for her opinion like you are doing. That is anti-constitution and unAmerican.

      • I’ll try to clarify my point. Yes, free speech means that you can voice your opinion. I never said that she doesn’t have the right to voice her opinion or take away her first amendment rights. You didn’t phrase it this way, but I’m not “trying to cancel” anyone. I simply stated that I thought her comments were a bit out of line for her. They came across to me as harsh. I have a ton of respect for Caralyn. I’ve been reading her blog for years, consider her a blogging friend, and wish her nothing, but success. Could I have been kinder in my criticism? Yes, you bring up a great point and re-reading my note now I probably would have used some different text. For that, I am sorry. But, I still believe in my point, I was not trying to shame her or take away her rights to voice whatever opinion she wants. I just feel she’a a strong communicator and didn’t need to take the approach she took, making fun of age and mental acuity in an offhanded way. She could have taken the higher road and just as easily made her point. In any event, we’ll agree to disagree. Have a good day.

    • Hi Brian, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about this. I appologize that this post was disappointing for you tonight. And looking back now, I can see that some of my comments reflect poorly on my character, and for that I am sorry. I will try to take the high road next time. thank you for encouraging me to reexamine where I’m coming from and what I’m putting out into the ether. Hugs and love xox

      • Hi Caralyn! You have nothing to apologize for and I applaud you for having strong opinions. It’s your blog, you have every right to say and write whatever you want. Whether it was meant or not, I just disagreed with the “meanness” that I thought were behind some of the comments. If my response “shamed you” or felt mean in return, I am truly sorry. I wrote you because Thursday’s blog just felt different compared to some of your other blogs. In the past, we haven’t always agreed, but you made me think about my beliefs, why I hold them, and how they mesh with God’s word and my faith. I felt like you were coming from a place of love. This one felt more like an us versus them approach. If you meant that, then fine, it’s just not what I’ve come to love about your blog. Despite all this, I hope you keep writing — You have a strong message and have touched so many people. I’m sorry for the long reply. Have a great weekend friend and God Bless You.

      • I think comments have been turned off for this post (or maybe it’s too early in the morning for me to exercise my technology skills) so I’ll nest my thoughts here. I would describe my initial reaction to this post as, “hmmmm…that doesn’t sound like her”. But I have been reading the back and forth in the comment section and I can say that I am mostly impressed by the way Caralyn has responded to the folks who disagree with her. It’s this type of communication that will help us all understand one another better. I think it’s ok to state your opinions and it’s ok for your readers to provide feedback that some parts of it might have been a wee tone deaf. It’s hard to put yourself out there in the Internet world. I know what it’s like to feel passionate about something, say something about it, and then go…oh…well, I am not sure I should have done that or maybe I should have said something differently. Ultimately, every post we put out is a risk and it takes courage, no matter your political affiliations to state your beliefs in a public arena. Do I agree with post? Pretty much not really…kinda no…a tiny bit yes. But mostly no. Will I keep reading her content? Yep. This is just one part of the person she is. If people shut me down because of one thing I said or did or believed, yikes. What a world! Anyway, keep up the good and healthy back and forths. -L

      • Thank you so much Lindsey, for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue. I appreciate the grace you have shown me. I have definitely learned a lot from this post, and will try my best to grow from it. I am definitely a flawed person with a long way to go. Thank you for helping me learn. Hugs and love xox

      • I find it amazing that you take the time to answer all of these comments – good and bad…and with such grace. I can definitely appreciate your patience as well as your willingness to share your opinions and beliefs. That is your right 100%. And to follow this one up with Cardi B…girl! 😉

      • Haha thanks Lindsey. It is definitely quite the task! Haha but I enjoy it! And if someone takes the time out of their day to respond, I want to honor that! Thank you again! 🥰 Hugs and love xox

      • Thank you Brian, I appreciate that. 🙂 hope you had a great weekend as well <3 hugs xox

  9. I know you’re unread, part of the illiteratie and uneducated. So I can give you a pass on thinking skills. Yet, you complain about racial attacks on Asians but deny the racism blacks and others experience.

Before blacks were considered inferior to whites they were branded pagans because they weren’t Christian. When they were made Christian they were considered inferior because they were black.
Speaking of Christians. Where’s that so-called Christian love, or is that only for the like-minded?

If your remarks weren’t so all American, so white privilege they would be just sad. It’s too bad you missed the capital riot where you would have felt right at home.

It must be so good to feel so superior, so sure, and yet so bewildered.

Don’t worry about three words to describe Biden. How about illiterate, ignorant and uneducated — sound familiar?

P.S. If you have no problem discing Biden you shouldn’t have a problem being disced.

    • Hi Steven, I can feel your passion behind your words. I’m afraid my words have been misconstrued. To be clear, the capitol riot was absolutely disgraceful and there’s no way I would have ever participated. And further, any racially motivated attack against any person, no matter what background/race/religion/gender/sexual orientation is absolutely unacceptable, and must be rooted out entirely. Period. Peace.

  10. This guy is not fit to be in office. I fear for the world I and others are leaving our children in this country. These people want to dismantle this country and burn our Constitution. Sorry, I’m very open about this subject.

  11. I view the situation so differently from you. I’m saddened by the disrespect I read in your words. We can do better than this.

    • Hi DW, I’m sorry for offending you with my words. I’m afraid my passion came off in a negative and hurtful spirit. Thank you for helping me see that. Hugs and love xox

      • Thank you 🙏. It is so difficult when the media, social and otherwise, on both sides, makes money by putting us into opposing, passionate camps. But we are one flock with one Shepherd. Yes, we disagree, we have different perspectives, we even jostle each other around. But our Shepherd knows how to handle it and how to lead us. Grace and peace to you, dear sister in Christ.

      • I agree, the media’s efforts to pit neighbor against neighbor, fellow american against fellow american…it’s shameful. Amen – we can place our trust in Him. Hugs and love xox

  12. Caralyn, our best approach in living day to day is not to center ourselves under the flag of either political party, but to live as decent human beings under divine natural law. If people ask whether I am Democrat or Republican, I tell them I’m Catholic, and leave it at that. You are entitled to your opinion, but this post could have been done a bit less harshly. I will continue to follow and love what you normally do here. Hugs and love from Kentucky– Mike

    • I love that – citizens under divine natural law. wouldn’t that be something. thanks Mike for sharing your thoughts on this. I’m sorry my words were offensive tonight. I appreciate you helping me to see that. Hugs and love xox

  13. Hope sure hit the nail on the head: Our only hope is in the Lord!! Dishonest. Disastrous. Deteriorating.” pretty much covers it. I never thought I’d see the day when a serial child molestor would be our President. And it’s not like it’s a secret either!! People openly acknowledge it!
But it is sad to see an elderly person being abused like he is- paraded around in front of people onstage, when he clearly is not competent for the job.
Personally, I wasn’t sure he’d last these 100 days! She is just chomping on the bit to usher him off stage, and take the limelight. And I think things are going to get worse, much worse. 🙁

    • In the Lord – amen. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree – he is being used, and it frankly makes me sad to see. And unfortunately, I’m afraid you’re right. Big big prayers going up for our nation, and for our President. There is power in prayer, and it changes things, I do believe that. glad you stopped by. Hugs and love xox

  14. The thing is, Caralyn, people have to realize when they’re being had. And not by the left wing or the right wing, but by the Enemy. From my vantage point in the Great White North, I’ve watched the division in America since Jimmy Carter, when the far right started to see their point of view go sideways — and from a southerner, no less! When Trump arrived, the woke left suddenly realized its decades of forcing its own way hadn’t brought the change in society it wanted, because it was pretty much a dead-heat between Trump and Clinton. The fact that Trump polled even more votes than he did in 2016 shows that division hasn’t gone away. But through all this, I see God, fully in control — so long as we let Him. He put Trump in there for a reason — I believe it’s along the lines of the same reason a sore festers into a painful, ugly boil; He put Biden in there for a reason, too: for us to see that the only way to lance that boil is with the Sword of the Spirit. Joe Biden can’t unify America: that’s Jesus Christ’s job. Nor can he bring hope, peace, joy or justice: all that belongs to the Lord. So don’t despair, young friend: look up and don’t give up!

    • Oh Drew, you have hit the nail on the head. This is Enemy territory for sure. For absolute sure. I’m so glad you can see God in control of all of this. I trust that He is too. Amen – it’s Jesus’ job to unify America. I pray it happens soon! Hugs and love xox

  15. O yeah. God has a plan alright. God always has a plan. My admonition to those who are on the wrong side, (let us examine our hearts in this hour) of His plan, is to get on the right side, and to read about what happened to those who were on the wrong side of God’s plan when Moses stated “Who is on the Lord’s side?” in Numbers 16. God Bless You All in the Beauty of Holiness. Jesus truly does love us and He is rooting for us to lay it all down and take up our cross and follow Him. O yeah, He has a plan. Amen!

    • Hi Silvana, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. You’re so right – God has a plan, and is in control, even when we can’t understand. Praying with you! Hugs and love xox

  16. Is America a racist country? Not on the whole, but huge swaths of it clearly are. I’m living and working in the South, and I’ve seen it. I saw a guy standing in his store with his mixed-race grandson standing right there and use the “N” word. I once had the misfortune of having to ride with a salesman for a store I called on. He had a 9mm in his open armrest and made racist comments all day. When we got back to the store, he saw a black kid walking peacefully down the alley behind the store. He perked up like a hunting dog and said he ought to cap that “N!”

I couldn’t get out of town fast enough!!

Racism is alive and well in large pockets of the country. I wouldn’t have thought so till I moved to the south.

As for Biden – the only three words I can offer are ones of comfort I keep telling myself; Father, Son, & Holy Ghost (ok…four words, but three names). The pendulum will swing. God is in charge. I’ve read enough history to know things have looked bleak before. Then again, I think we are getting pretty to close to the end days. Who knows?

Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. Repeat as needed.

    • Hi Jeff, oh my gosh, I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by those examples you witness. Gosh, that is just terrible. I guess I’m pretty lucky to have grown up in a place where racism was nonexistent. And wow – I love your three words – you’re right. that’s where we need to keep our eyes fixed: on the Lord. God is in control, and who am I to a) judge His plan/timing, and b) His creation, Joe. I will certainly be repeating that a lot in the coming future. Thanks, Jeff. You always offer such sage wisdom and a powerful perspective. Grateful for you. Hugs and love xox

      • I’m sorry to see the amount of heat you’re taking on this. For what it’s worth, I have the same concerns for what’s happening in the White House. Hang in there and have a blessed weekend!!!

      • thanks Jeff — yeah quite the negative response to this one! I appreciate the encouragement! I’m learning how to separate myself emotionally from the comments section, if that makes sense. Weird thing to say, but I’m trying to just roll with it, good or bad. hahah I hope you had a great weekend! I sure did! It’s was absolutely BEAUTIFUL in nyc – I think I was outside for 90% of it!! 🙂 Hugs and love xox

      • I’m glad you’re able to cope so well. Kind of an “I don’t care” attitude perhaps. That’s how I deal with such things. Not how I am, but in self-defense. We had a good weekend. Julie was sick most of last week, but got her feet back under her again this weekend! Glad yours was good!

      • thanks Jeff. Yeah, I need to adopt a bit more of that attitude. oh no! i’m glad Julie’s doing better! being sick is no fun at all. hope your week’s off to a great start! hugs x

    • Interesting thought. Just curious — and this is not coming with any sort of tone at all, — but I’m wondering who you’re referring to, that you think I’m worshiping as an idol? I’m genuinely curious

      • Don’t worry I made an idol out of my ex husband. Not good. Always made excuses for him too. I was not talking about your wonderful man. I was talking about about your former leader.

      • oh. well, to be crystal clear, i did not idolize trump in the slightest. In fact, I didn’t like the man personally. I appreciated some of his politics. Namely, the herculean efforts and progress he made to protect the unborn. But *idolizing* Trump? *that* couldn’t be farther from reality.

  17. I don’t trust politicians, I never have, I never will regardless of party. I don’t trust the media, I never have, I never will. I don’t believe Joe Biden, just like I didn’t believe Donald Trump. What has become the worst part of the current political situation are the internet mobs that roam around and shame anyone who doesn’t not adhere to a specific point of view. Shaming, cancelling, harming on and on, all sides do it and its horrible. I didn’t watch Biden, I never will. I didn’t watch Trump, I never would. I do though watch the dog pilling the people screaming at everyone they are “pick your ism”

Many people out there have caused a lot of harm to others under the guise of anonymity hiding behind VPN’s and Apps. God(s) is (are) watching. Take care Caralyn, you’re doing a great job with this blog.

    • Thanks Karac for sharing your thoughts and joining the dialogue. Your support and encouragement means the world. Your so right – the internet mobs have become part of our political make up. Scary. Hugs and love xox

  18. Yes ,my sweet friend, he’s a tool , but a willing one . God will judge . Three words: hope and change . Yes, he’s the continuation of Obama’s plan to punish the white man for crimes of colonialism and racism that happened in the past . Lord, have mercy on us! PS :did you get your second shot yet ? My sister had 103 fever after hers.

    • Hi PK, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I like your three words – very hopeful! i like that! oh gosh! i’m sorry to hear that your sister had that reaction! i get mine next weekend. i’ll let you know! Hugs and love xox

      • There’s a protocol you can have ready in case you have a bad reaction. Sorry to see you’re getting attacked by a few blind people in these comments who can’t see what the left is up to. Jesus came to bring division. He will reveal the true hearts of men and women. These leftists have one goal . End America because America is the beating heart of the free world . But they can’t stop me from following Jesus .

      • thank you again, friend. Oh wow – that is a powerful reminder. You’re right – Jesus’ teaching wasn’t easy. It divided. Gotta stick close to Him in prayer, especially during these times! have a wonderful afternoon! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you friend. Oh wow – your three words are spot on! glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox

    • oh wow Cameron those three words pack a punch! right on! thank you for stopping by and joining the conversation! Hugs and love xox

  19. Good for you voicing your opinions! There will always be many opinions… they are like b—t hol-s. Every one has one.
    Your braver than me.
I have little faith in most politicians and turned off after 15 minutes.
I truly believe my father in heaven will let us have free will till the end. Even if evil reigns. But the true Christians will live forever.
Our lives are judged by how WE live. And your living right!
You knew this would spark interest.
    Good blogging.
    God bless!

    • hahha – you’re right – everyone has one!! that made me laugh. thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. This is a powerful perspective. i appreciate you sharing! Hugs and love xox

  20. Hang tough, Caralyn. You are absolutely right about all you said. I hope the ones who tell you how mean you are, etc., etc., won’t upset or discourage you. Remember Jesus when He confronted the Pharisees? He was very blunt and offensive to them because He was angry with them for leading the people astray from truth. He wasn’t going to just “be nice.” Sin makes God angry. Sin is being condoned, promoted, legislated and legalized all around us today. And we wonder why our culture is so horrible? I’m proud of you, Caralyn, for speaking truth. God help us!

    • Hi Patty, thank you so much for your support. I definitely am feeling the weight of the discouraging words today, but I am not letting them get to me. Thank you for your positivity and encouragement. it truly means the world. Hugs and love xox

  21. Caralyn, I truly agree with your post. It’s scary! All that made America the most admired, most prosperous, and most respected nation in the world is falling to shambles. America needs much prayer. 🇺🇸🙏 Like I tell my 6th grade students, “America is not racists, it’s the media, and unhappy individuals that that live in every nation of the world that are” I
t’s people without a true encounter with God and His Word. Proud of your sincere, young heart and your boldness. ❤️

    • Thank you so much, Giselle! I am so glad it resonated with you! I agree – it is downright terrifying to see what is happening to this country. I’m so glad and relieved to know that there is at least one good teacher out there who is teaching our children the truth! We need more like you! Hugs and love xox

    • oh wow, Rollie – powerful! and spot on! thanks for joining the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi Eden! Oh girl, I am right there with you on your three words! Especially embarrassing. Yikes! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  22. Hi Caralyn! Oh my goodness, I agree with you 100% it totally feels like picking on the smallest kid on the playground. However, by watching all the trillions of dollars being spent, my business major heart is *continually* shuddering. However, I truly believe that, for what we see as better or worse, God has a plan in mind, and … well, I know He has a better plan than I could come up with, so … I’m with you, gotta keep praying 🙂 By the way, those stuffed shells looked delicious (just to leave things on a positive note, haha).

    • Hi Vera! Thank you so much for your support and encouraging words. You’re right – it is so irresponsible what they’re doing with our country in so many levels. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Eric. I so appreciate your support. This was a tough one. Hugs and love xox

  23. God…. Please help us! I always reflect on the Bible and what God promised. HE is constant…through chaos…Please, Lord. Send someone to touch the heart and mind of our president and all the misguided leaders who have lost their moral compass. I keep praying.

    • Thank you Laurie for sharing your heart. Yes, Lord help us! Joining you in those important prayers! Hugs and love xox

  24. Well, you certainly didn’t hold back! I think you missed the opportunity to blame Biden for daylight savings time.

    Here is a reply.

    January 6th, 2021 changed everything.

The Insurrection changed everything. The moral failure of republicans Senators to hold ex president Trump accountable is an existential threat and mortal wound to our democracy. The continued shenanigans simply make it a certainty.

Denying the obvious and televised insurrection and connection to Trump agents, well, I wouldn’t much want to engage in dialog.

I get it, Biden has many faults. But deliberate blindness to the Insurrection Party formally known as Republican Party makes your discontent irrelevant to the mayhem planned by them.

    • Hi Gerry, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I think it a bit dangerous to blanket the horrific acts of Jan 6 on the Republican Party as a whole. I know absolutely zero republicans who didn’t see the acts of that day as deplorable, and done by degenerates. That’s just my two cents. Thanks for stopping by.

      • Remember I am addressing the leadership, not the ordinary voter! The Republican Party of Palm Beach County invited the Leader of the Insurrection to speak – Enrique Tarrio.
International Chairman of “The Proud Boys”
Chief of Staff for Latinos for Trump, Monday May 3rd, 2021.

What else is one to conclude?

        All the best!

  25. Excellent article and spot-on analysis from you. I do feel bad for Joe but remember, in days past when he was 100% of himself, he barely could muster 1% of the vote in any of his presidential bids. To think that Joe in his deteriorated state is more capable and more popular and can garner more votes than he could at any time in the past is laughable. Biden is more than just a mouthpiece for the left, he is a distraction to what is actually going on behind the scenes. This administration has nothing to do with America or the Constitution as we see on a daily basis and the tide is turning in ways they would not like to see. When the vote audit in Arizona is finished, the mask will come off the evil that has been perpetrated on the American people.

    • Thank you so much Dennis for sharing your thoughts and joining the conversation! So true – this administration has absolutely abandoned the constitution. Scary. Hugs and love xox

  26. Evil, destructive, ruinous. Those are my three. They stole and bought their way in and have been trying to destroy us ever since. Sheer evil. The enemy has little time so is working overtime to destroy as many as possible. But the good news is that our hope is in God, the good Father who is in control. The enemy only has empty promises because he is already defeated and keeps applying rouge to his rotting corpse to fool everyone. The enemy is defeated already. God and those close to Him will live eternally in His love and care and oassionate embrace. He is our hope now and forever. And praise God for that! Love you, as always, my beautiful friend. Stay close to God. I love your heart for Him! Hugs! XO😃❤

    • Hi Tonya! Oh your three words are SPOT ON! thank you so much for sharing your heart on this. You’re right – the enemy is having a field day. And yes! Our hope is in God! Gotta stay close to Him! Love you dear friend! Hugs xox

      • Hugs! Do not be discouraged, be focused. The people that tried to shame you are choosing the wide, popular path right now. Hold on to the narrow path and see it as confirmation you are doing right. The enemy does not not attack those who are his. Stay strong in the Lord in prayer.😃❤

      • Thank you again!! Great reminders 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

  27. I didn’t know that you were a psychiatrist or you have intel to POTUS’ mental health that general public is not privy to.
You are welcome to your opinions but this post really shows your right-wing bias.

    • Thanks for your feedback and for joining the conversation. Hugs and love xox

    • Hi Colleen, thank you for joining the dialogue. Yes – disheartening is a great word. It reminds me to “take heart” – becuase God has already overcome the world! thanks for passing that article. Looking forward to reading it! Hugs and love xox

  28. Three words, hmm? Dull. Competent. Ambitious.

Biden’s speaking frankly puts me to sleep as well at times. He doesn’t exactly have soaring rhetoric. I’m actually surprised that I’m using the word dull to describe him, because he has a reputation for being a bit of a gaffe machine.

As for the competent part, it’s somewhat personal for me. My parents got vaccinated at one of the FEMA vaccine sites opened up by Biden, and it was a well-run, well-organized vaccine site. Obviously one may counter this with looking at the border, for example, so I can understand how one may counterargue.

And he is ambitious. Frankly, he’s more ambitious than I thought he would be. He has a lot of plans. Plans for addressing some major issues, by the way, because we do have an infrastructure problem, we do need student debt relief, and there does need to be more expansive childcare. But all these things add up to an amount that’s going to create some sticker shock. My political leanings would lean me towards being happy that he has proposals to address some serious issues, but I can see why someone may be spooked by the huge price tag.

P.S. Regarding the whole debate about systemic racism, I personally think that regardless of your feelings or mine on that question, the fact remains that there are deep racial inequalities in so many arenas, from economic stability to education, policing to health outcomes. A few stats to consider:
Unarmed Blacks are about 3.5 times as likely to get shot by the police as unarmed whites.
The national poverty rate in 2019 was 9% for whites but 21.2% for Blacks.
8% of whites but 15% of Blacks have not completed a high school degree.
Life expectancy is several years shorter for Blacks than whites.

(I’m more than happy to share the articles these statistics come from–I promise that these stats do not come out of thin air.)

    • Please share the link to the article with those statistics. The number of people shot, by skin color, in the last three years do not match those numbers. Thanks.

    • Hi Brendan, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the conversation! I’m glad to hear that your parents were able to be vaccinated and that it was a positive experience. that’s great! And thanks for the powerful insight. great food for thought. Hugs and love xox

      • You’re welcome! I know that my views are a bit contrarian (compared to some of your views and some of the comments), but once again, maybe not in every way. (Even a lot of fellow liberals are surprised with Biden’s ambitiousness.)

    • Thank you for your reply with the links. Unfortunately, the percentages they list do not fit the actual data. While I have heard the data from several sources, here are two links which describe them:
      https://trendingpolitics.com/the-data-prove-there-is-no-epidemic-of-unarmed-black-men-shot-by-police-knab/
      https://www.lacortenews.com/n/tucker-carlson-looks-at-every-police-shooting-of-unarmed-black-suspects-in-2019

If “Unarmed Blacks are about 3.5 times as likely to get shot by the police as unarmed whites” then the data should show that. If 10 whites are reported shot by police then there should be over 30 blacks shot by police, in order to create those percentages. But that isn’t what has been happening. More whites are shot by police than blacks each year. And in case you’re wondering, many more police officers are shot by criminals than criminals shot by police officers, much more.

The problem with statistics is how you base your numbers. If you base them on the total number of people your stats are lower. If you base them on a subset of the total, then your numbers will be higher. To me this is false reporting just to inflate your stats and push an agenda.

By the stats based on population percentages, the number of blacks involved in crime per the total number of blacks in the population is disproportionately high. Should we conclude by that “statistic” that more blacks are criminally inclined than whites? Absolutely not.

The bottom line is that there are forces in our country that are trying to divide and destroy it. To this end, they are pushing false narratives in order to incite violence and disagreement. People should be treated as individuals, regardless of the color of their skin. When a person chooses to break the law and are confronted by the police, they should expect to receive whatever consequence comes their way. The color of their skin doesn’t matter. We will do ourselves a much better favor by seeking the truth in every situation, ALL of the truth, than falling prey to lies meant only to destroy.

      • Let me start by saying that you’re looking at all Blacks killed by police in the statistics you’re looking at. I’m looking at unarmed Blacks killed by police. We’re looking at two different things. That’s probably why the stats I’m looking at are different from yours.

But, let’s take the first article you shared. The first article has a quote saying that 24.9% of people killed by police in 2019 are Black. It also shows a chart from Statista indicating that nearly 37% of people shot and killed by the police are Black over the past several years. The latest data from the Census says that 13.4% of the country is Black: https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045219. The fact that Blacks are 13.4% of the country but 24.9% or 37% of people killed by police (depending on what stats you use) show that Blacks are disproportionately killed by police.

As for the second article, some of the cases Tucker Carlson (who has a dubious relationship with the truth whenever I fact-check him, speaking of truth) talks about are cases where what he says doesn’t exactly match with what actually happened (or are cases where the details are in dispute, like the Channara Pheap case).

    • Hi Laura! thank you for joining the conversation! oh I LOVE your three words! Couldn’t agree more! so glad you stopped by! have a great Monday! Hugs and love xox

    • hahhaah oh my gosh I’m laughing out loud right now. Thanks Greg for sharing the dialogue, and for your colorful contribution 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  29. P.S. I’d have to say by some of the rude, comments, some ill nformed, others lacking the reasoning skills to hold an objective fact based discussion..that maybe their liberal bias is showing?

    • Thanks Laura, yeah I think you’re right. Quite the colorful comments section on this one! I appreciate your encouragement 🙂

  30. Also… I don’t know if you’re the mood to hear one last glorious power ballad from the early 90s by a band whose heyday was in the 70s and 80s, but I have my music on shuffle right now, and this came on right after I read this, and it seems somehow appropriate.

    • Hi friend, thank you for sharing your thoughts and joining the dialogue! for sure – I totally agree with your 3 words! Hugs and love xox

  31. My answer is simple: I’ve been praying for the conversion of Biden and all the Dems and the defeat of the Dem agenda when I pray the Hours. My three words: Undoing of America.

  32. Hey C! Excellent post! Everything was spot on. I agree with you, the way Biden is being used when he obviously has diminished capacity is shameful. But the fact they pushed him on the American people, knowing he wasn’t up to the task, was beyond criminal.

As to racism, there’s no way Obama could have been elected president twice if America was systemically racist. The whole argument is based on a false narrative and the stats show it.

Like you said, our only hope is in Jesus, now and always. Well said! 🙂

    • Thank you so much Kenneth! 🙂 shameful and criminal for sure! and you bring up a lot of really great points. It just doesn’t add up. AMen – hope in Jesus! Hugs and love xox

  33. Courageous, competent and compassionate. After the Trump years of blatant lies, corruption, irresponsible and destructive foreign policy, selfish and ignorant neglect of the Covid dangers, America at last has a competent and honourable leader. Your blog just shows how different the world looks depending on your tribal allegiance.

    • Thank you for joining the dialogue. Not sure if I can agree with “tribal allegiance” — but I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. One final point, is that the only reason we have the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines is because of the Trump administration’s herculean effort to fast track them. It is a medical miracle. And we have his *team* to thank – not necessarily him, but his administration. The “Biden Vaccine”…aka the J&J, well, I’ll just let the stats and dangers speak for themselves. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Shelia for sharing your thoughts and joining the dialogue. I definitely agree with your three words!! Hugs and love xox

  34. I could have written this! I am hoping this will open the eyes of more Americans that our hope is in Christ and not government. I was unable to watch him speak, but I have heard similar things to what you say about it. My goodness, our enemies are watching/drooling and our allies are probably a bit nervous. I pray that our country will have some sort of revival, but at the same time, I think that what is unfolding is part of God’s Plan for America. Bible scholars tell us there is no mention of our country in Revelation. Watch what has happened in the Middle East and what is happening between Russia, China, and Iran. From a Biblical perspective, it is amazing to watch. We are such a wicked nation. I am not sure if you have read about what our government has been doing with aborted babies. This was done during the Obama Administration, Trump ended it, and just last week, the Biden Administration started it up again. “Orange Man Bad” doesn’t look so bad after you see what has been allowed to happen under two Leftist Administrations. There is an article about these aborted babies and how their parts are being sold like cuts of meat on The Federalist website. It will make you ill to read the article and the copies of emails and price lists for parts. God’s patience is about to run out on us, I’m afraid. This is why we are so confused and divided, we have turned away from Him.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoguhts and joining the dialogue! i’m glad this resonated with you. amen to that – our hope is in Christ and not the government! So many powerful points here! thank you again!!! Hugs and love xox

    • Oh Lorie, that is such a great thing to do. Yes! There is power in prayer, and I am joining you in that! It changes things! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  35. Thank you for writing this piece. It is excellent. The Liar in Chief should be held accountable for his outright lies and deceptions. I only watched three minutes of his speech. What I heard sounded like a page from the Trump playbook: Biden said, “buy American built by Americans.” Trump said “America First.” Sounds the same to me, but the mean orange man said it. Give me a break! I hope Biden lasts, because Harris would be a bigger disaster.
Sorry for my rant! My faith is in Jesus, not the government. That will not change, regardless of who is in the White House.
    Thanks again! Much appreciated.

    • Hi John, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I’m glad it resonated with you! I agree – if i didn’t need to write about it, I wouldn’t have even tuned in. Lots of truth in your words! amen – faith in Jesus! Hugs and love xox

  36. depressing, maddening, disuniting – and I’m not sure that’s a real word. I sent a letter to the president recently regarding the transgender issue that is being forced down our throat. This is an issue that tears down to the very root of our beings. God made them – man and woman. I did garner a response to him that was full of rhetoric and was essentially a non-answer that didn’t even mention my question. May God have mercy on our country.

    • Hi Bonnie, thank you for sharing your thoughts and joining the dialogue! I am so with you there. We’ve forgotten and walked away from our true identity in God. And therein lies the problem. I definitely agree with your three words! glad you stoppped by! Hugs and love xox

  37. Prophesy-Being-Fulfilled. There is a reason why the west, specifically the United States, is not a major player in end-time events, just the kings of the east. One possibility is because of an economic collapse, resulting in the United States loosing its super-power status and influence around the world. There are other possibilities, of course, but current world and national events do indicate we are living in the last days. The good news is this means the rapture of the church is ever so near!

    • Oh wow – Darryl, that is so powerful. thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue! scary thoughts. gotta stay close to Christ in prayer! Hugs and love xox

  38. I can’t think of better words than what your friend used, although I would maybe add one: depressing. It would be even more depressing if our hope wasn’t in Jesus! So thankful to have faith in a sovereign God and the promise of eternal life! These momentary afflictions are nothing compared to the glory ahead <3

    • Thank you Krista for your support and for joining the dialogue! Depressing – yes! That too! Amen – gotta keep our eyes towards Heaven! Hugs and love xox

  39. Sad, disheartening, worsening… I’m sorry they’re all negative. I believe that what Pres. Biden’s wife, his family, and his friends are putting that poor man through is just terrible. I pray for them all.

    • Hi Amy! I so agree with your three words. And everything you said. He is not in any condition to be put through such a demanding job like that, and he’s being used ruthlessly by left wing politicians. “If the ends justify the means…” just terrible. I pray for them too. Glad you stopped by. Hugs and love xox

  40. I didn’t read all the comments, but I read your post from beginning to end, and I agree 100%. It took a bit of—no, a lot of—courage to do so. I am guessing, of course. Much to consider considering: Been there done that. I know, for me, as a Black person, it has been brutal.

    • Thank you so much James for your support. I appreciate you sharing this powerful perspective and your personal life experience. Glad it resonated with you. 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  41. MISSING IN ACTION. His mind, his plan, a legal presidency! Loved this! Your comments were right on.. I enjoyed this so much I was ready to break out the popcorn! God bless and thanks for keeping it real!

    • Oh Sue, those are great three words! Thank you so much for sharing your thoguhts on this and joining the dialogue! haha yes – quite an entertaining comments section on this one! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much Katie! I’m so glad it resonated with you. Yes! i love your three words! Hugs and love xox

  42. 52%? I seriously doubt his approval rating is that high; just another dishonest polling number.

Three words to describe this illegitimate administration?

    Destined. For. Failure.

He knew the deal going in and he’s been a career bull-shitter for a very long time, so I don’t feel bad for him. Things are bound to catch up to him and his puppeteers eventually. God sees everything.

    • And just for the record, I have prayed for him and Kamala. My compassion is for their souls, my anger is over their actions. And I don’t think you came off in a harsh manner at all, Carolyn, as others have said. I say stand by what you write and make no apologies for it. You are not responsible for how others feel. We can’t please everyone all the time.

      • yes! oh my gosh I feel absolutely the same! thank you again for your support. Joining you in that prayer.

    • Another dishonest polling number….isn’t THAT the truth! thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! I love your three words! true! Hugs and love xox

    • Oh yes – that is exactly what we need right now! Gotta cling to Jesus! thanks for stopping by and for this powerful reminder of the TRUTH! Hugs and love xox

  43. I did not find your post mean spirited. I am over 70, very active, but I don’t have the stamina to be the president. There is nothing wrong with thinking the president is not in the best shape. I think it is a shame that people think your comments were age discriminatory. It would be if he was showing great energy, but he is showing signs that make us concerned about his abilities. That’s all. Hang in there. I think there should be no negative response to your thoughts, any more than someone from another point of view has a right to their thoughts. One way to silence others is to make them feel they misspoke. It’s your opinion, it’s your blog. You go girl! ❤️

    • thank you so much Andrea for your support and encouraging words. it really means a lot. Yeah, I truly did not mean them to be age discriminatory at all!! I personally have so much respect for those who have the life experience and wisdom that come with life! I was more concerned for what I believe is deteriorating health. So thank you for saying that 🙂 such great points. thanks a lot!! 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  44. Love what you wrote, I’m glad to hear you voicing your opinion. I completely agree with you. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud with how you described Biden. 🤣

    • Thank you so much! I’m so glad this struck a chord with you. and i’m glad it made you chuckle 🙂 hehe Hugs and love xox

  45. The three words I would use to describe biden 100 days in office is “despicable, horrendous and pathetic”. This man is truly I serpent and I still don’t believe that he won the elections.

  46. No moral standard. Everyone does what’s right in their own eyes. A form of depravity, that leads to destruction, not only in individuals eyes, but of this country. Many looking for a handout, rather than lending a hand. A form of government bent on replacing God, based on secular humanism. National day of prayer, should be a starting point, for us to be on our knees , to break these chains of destruction, one soul at a time, one state at a time, one nation at a time! Lord have mercy on us if we don’t stand up for him, speaking truth in Love.

  47. Pain and suffering and tribulation, as you and I and many, many people have learned, brings about patience. Patience begets understanding, understanding begets common sense. Coupled with the Holy Spirit these things give us discernment. Discernment led by the Holy Spirit gives us knowledge of what is Good and what is Evil. 1 John 4 says we should “…test the spirit…” and if it is not God-honoring and Christ-centered, then it is not of God. Some people hasten to say that we should “judge not, that we not be judged” and that is true when that judgment condemns people wrongly. However, as Christians we are to judge Evil when we see it, and call it for what it is – Evil – and speak out against it. While tyranny comes amidst the silence of patriots, Evil comes amidst the silence of Christians. Stand strong, little sister!

    • Hi Myron, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue. yes – patience begets understanding. i love that. we definitely need discernment in the White House, in the streets, in our homes, in our hearts. Come, Holy Spirit! Hugs and love xox

    • oh my gosh this made me stand up and clap! SO TRUE!! Thank you for this awesome contribution to the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much S! It’s so true. That and it’ll get taken down/censored by whatever social media platform you put it on. what a wild world. Hugs and love xox

  48. What a state we are in. With my 80 years of age I am appalled that the country is still divided, antagonistic, and in trouble. Will we ever get back to a government that works together and a country that can find a leader who is worthy to lead. Is there no end to each side attacking and undermining the other. Where have the leaders gone who care about our country instead of working to demonize whoever is the president. No president has ever been perfect in my lifetime but things still got done. Congress did not spend all its time fighting instead of governing. It is so frightening to leave this to my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    • what a state we’re in indeed. It makes me so sad. Exactly! a leader worthy to lead. Not just the “lesser of the two evils.” so true. thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. i appreciate you stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  49. A disappointing post, Caralyn. I know you have strong views on President Biden but I’m afraid some of your comments came across as petty and mean. You’re better than this. Much better.

    • Thanks friend, I’m sorry if my words offended you. I appreciate you helping me see the error of my ways. Hugs and love xox

  50. “Accuse Your Enemy of What You Are Doing, As You Are Doing it to Create Confusion” — Karl Marx.

This sums up the Democrat Party to a tee.

The worst part is that they will bring in death, destruction, take away all the freedoms, etc. and the people will love them for it.

    • oh WOW – isn’t THAT that TRUTH! holy cow, i’ve never heard that before but it is my new favorite quote. scary scary stuff. you’re right – they’ve gaslit america to believe that that’s what we deserve. thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

      • I know that I am not a US citizen and probably I don’t have much of a right to talk about some of the issues, but frankly, US politics is pretty much World politics because much of the world always has its eyes on America. We used to admire its freedoms, which we can see are dwindling day by day.
America was the place that I was thinking I might want to emigrate to one day (legally). But now with what “the Dems” have been doing, its not. You have a society that makes victims of criminals, confuses children causing them to more reliant on big Pharma, and the basic freedoms of speech are adhered to as long as you say what they want you say.

“It’s a free country..” used to a statement that no longer holds true anymore. The Police state, Began with Clinton.. established by Obama and now will stand forever with Kamala Harris at the helm.

      • wow – that’s powerful to hear this perspective! sadly you’re right – i pray that we can return one day to that free country. Hugs and love xox

      • To be honest, I could go on and on about what is happening.. because whatever happens in the US will certainly trickle its way down to other parts of the world – especially Western Europe, Australia and some parts of Asia.
However we don’t need complainers.. America needs people who are willing to go down on their knees and intercede for it. America also needs strong people who are willing to stand firm on the beliefs of its founding fathers and strong enough to take back the country stolen from them by the greedy political elite.

      • Sadly, you’re right about that. and yes! We need strong voices!!! Hugs and love xox

  51. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Is this the attitude you will take to your church, or amongst your crowd. If you wish this done to you as you do it unto ‘them’ I will not take the bait.

    • thank you for joining the dialogue, Dennis. I appreciate you helping me see the error in my ways. Hugs and love xox

  52. Caralyn,
I have read through all the comments on this one. Deep breath…
    🙏🏼

May the weight of discouraging words be broken off you.

I appreciated to hear your perspective, as one between friends.
On a related matter I am worried about: the political / media / intelligence / medical climate has me aghast. Sometimes, information is systematically censored, etc.. Perhaps you could ask someone medical to scan the America’s Frontline Doctors website (www.americasfrontlinedoctors.org) for you, including the ‘Ten medical facts…’ PDF

At the end, I am thinking about the good of the U.S. (and with this, back to your recent post, NYC is not dead).
And of my own direction… re events, and worship, and evangelism. (And of how, under this, a faith-decision in Jesus, is *so* meaningful…)

    ✌🏼

    • Thank you David, I’m right there with ya – the climate in those areas has me aghast too. it is quite terrifying. Hugs and love xox

  53. The three words I would use for Biden’s first 100 days … (PURE) EVIL ON STEROIDS!!! OH … that’s four words … SORRY:-) Anyway … I loved your post … truthful, honest and great to read in today’s climate of anyone with conservative views or BIBLICAL worldviews being censored in all of the social media platforms. So, I say … Keep sharing the TRUTH!!!

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue! I’m applauding your three words! I’m glad this post resonated with you. So true – society, social media, the white house, our culture and schools have completely thrown the Bible out the window. It’s now considered “hate speech.” it’s really sad and terrifying. i appreciate you stoppin gby. Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much Harriet! i appreciate your support! Hugs and love xox

    • Thanks Em for your feedback. Though I did not like the former President on a personal level, I did appreciate many of his policies. Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much William. Me too – then it’s off to the races. the radical left will have a field day. Hugs and love xox

      • Peter, interesting that the first thing you went to was Race. Its actually very sad. Why didn’t you go for she’s a woman? The fact that you immediately went to race really paints you in a bad light, I find your comment to be rude and my first thoughts are you are a racist A$$hole. People can think others are not fit to do a job based on more than the color of their skin, but unfortunately too many people today only see things through race colored glasses. I find the Vice President disingenuine and feel the only reason she is even in the role is because President Biden said he wanted a minority woman to be his running mate unfortunately to check the boxes that would improve his chances of a victory in the election, not the most qualified person. She was eliminated early in the democratic primaries meaning her own party didn’t find her fit for the role that she will inevitably take when Biden is found unfit to continue in his role as President of the United States. I also think she is an opportunist, going to California to get a photo op with the hapless Governor of the state at homes that burned to the ground before the actual owners of the property were even allowed to return to see if anything was left. Don’t think that opportunists are only on the Democratic side either, I think what President Trump and Barr did was deplorable, tear gassing protestors so Trump could get a picture in front of the church in DC so it goes both ways. So take off the race blinders you are obviously wearing and open your eyes to the fact that not everyone who doesn’t particularly care for someone is only based on race.

      • Peter – this is not a matter of race. this is a matter of the MESSAGE she is promoting. wrong is wrong, no matter what your skin color, and I don’t appreciate you harassing and bating my readers. You’re welcome to share your thoughts in a respectful manner, but I will not tolerate bullying on this blog. Thank you . Peace.

  54. God have Mercy!
Biden didn’t come out of a vacuum and without precedent or approval. The current administration is merely a symptom of a cancer of disordered values in both parties. The good news is that our God does reign. Government actually can’t solve all or any of our problems for that matter. They only imagine they have all that power and we give it to them when we glorify or fret about THEM.

    • Amen – I love your three words, Connie Sue. Thank you for sharing your heart on this. Hugs and love xox

  55. Horrific – only way I know to describe this farce. But God! So glad I don’t rely on this corrupt government. This is not how the story ends – God Wins!

    • A farce – you hit the nail on the head. And amen! But God! Placing my hope in Him! God wins amen amen! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you again. i truly appreciate your support. this was a tough blog, for sure! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much! I appreciate your support. This was a tough post for sure. Yeah, I assume she’s the one behind all the decisions already, it’s only a matter of time before they let the country in on the truth and she takes over. Hugs and love xox

  56. Agreed on all points and thank you for openly sharing these thoughts (I’ve been avoiding any real political commentary because of just sheer fatigue from it all).

His mental faculties declining means we may see him “retire” and VP Harris running in 2024 – a disaster on many fronts as the potential of an even more antagonistic anti-Catholic as President is even more wretched and scary.

Praying for healing to the divisions the left has wrought upon this country.

    • Hi Richly, thank you so much for your support. it seriously means so much. I agree – that would be truly terrifying. truly. joining in that important prayer with you! Hugs and love xox

  57. First & foremost – BRAVO! I admire that you never hide from difficult topics. And you always present an educated, articulate opinion on the topics you speak to. Truthfully, I couldn’t even watch. (And by the statistics that have since been released – not many others did either!!). The recap; however, has confirmed what I suspected it would be. Admittedly, I watch little to no news anymore. And My Spirit is all the better for it.

“This too shall pass” is my sanity-check mantra when confronted with the realities of our Country’s situation. And the faith I place in God to guard and guide, if we place our trust in Him. I’m not burying my head in the sand by ANY MEANS and I know He will call me to action wherever necessary, but for now I lift up my steadfast prayers for the healing our Nation needs and wait for His call to me to do otherwise.

Stay strong Caralyn, never tire from sharing your voice on what speaks to your heart. Hugs to you for encouraging so many of us along the way…

  58. It always amuses me the constant implication that Biden is senile. I am old enough to remember Ronald Reagan. Always a gentleman even if I did not always agree with him. I mean he really helped bring down the Berlin wall with his”Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall.”speech. He did indeed have early dementia, yet dementia was not mentioned at the time. Yet now all we hear about now is Biden’s supposed “decline”.
