Anti-Semitic Attacks in NYC #StopAntiSemitism

The violence in this country is out of control. I read the headlines, and I am sickened and dumbfounded — what has this world come to?

I’ve written before about the surge of Anti-Asian hate crimes in NYC and across the country. Which, is sadly still happening. Even after Biden signed the Anti-Asian Hate Crime bill this past week, the attacks are still raging. Just this weekend, a 48 year old Asian man was attacked in my boyfriend’s neighborhood: he was terribly beaten and the tip of his finger was bitten off.

Barbaric. Truly. Barbaric.

But it doesn’t stop there. Now, since the cease-fire in the Middle East, anti-Semitic attacks have spiked in NYC (and LA). Jews are being attacked leaving their synagogues to the battle cries of “Free Palestine – kill the Jews!”, they’re being beaten on the streets, receiving racial slurs shouted from men in trucks with Palestinian flags.

On Thursday, there was a clash of protestors in Time Square that left one 29 year old Jewish man severely beaten and in the hospital.

Also over the weekend, pro-Palestine demonstrators threw fireworks and molotov cocktails at buildings in the Diamond District of Manhattan, a heavily Jewish business district, leaving one man severely burned.

One of my Jewish friends broke down in tears, scared for her fellow Jews. Scared for her life. She’s stopped wearing her Star of David necklace, and many of the men she knows have stopped wearing their kippah/yarmulka in public, for fear for their safety.

Truthfully, it is unthinkable that a person could harbor such hatred in their heart for someone they don’t even know, and then act on it.

It is beyond tragic, and heartbreaking. It is more despicable than words can express.

And beyond pray for our Jewish and Asian brothers and sisters, I feel helpless as to what I can do to help.

I wrote last week about the “woke indoctrination” of our children, after coming across several radical feminist baby books while out shopping: “Feminist Baby” and “Little Feminist,” and I was truly shocked by the number of dissenting comments, expressing backlash against my position: claiming that, Christian indoctrination of children is even more harmful.

People were truly upset that I plan on raising my future children (one day, God-willing) to believe in God and love Jesus. That was harmful indoctrination, these dissenters posited.

And this, friends, is precisely the problem with our country that has led it to become the unrecognizable purgatory it is today, where people are bashing others’ skulls in with baseball bats just because of the color of their skin, the religion they follow, or what their background is:

We have left God behind.

But not just left Him behind…our society is actively repelling Him, His teachings, and ostracizing those who follow Him.

It is now considered harmful to “indoctrinate” your children to believe in God? Oh how backwards that is! That is literally THE. MAIN. JOB. of parenthood! That is literally the most important task one has as a parent: to get their children (and their spouse) to Heaven. Period.

“Cancel” me if that is too outrageous of a notion, but that is the point of life. Of family. Of marriage. Journeying together towards Heaven, and making sure of their salvation.

These Hate Crimes that we’re seeing: those are workings of the enemy. There, I said it.

It is spiritual warfare, absolutely walloping our nation, our world. Why? Because God has been pushed out of the picture, and the enemy and his friends are having an absolute field day.

And sadly this is just one area – everywhere you look in our culture: from the attacks on personhood in the womb, confusion over our identity — especially that geared towards our children, the pornography epidemic, the abortion industry as a whole, women struggling with unattainable body image and beauty standards. There is a common puppeteer behind all of these terrible terrible plights on humanity.

We have passed the time of being a quiet, private Christian. The time has come to be bold for Christ. We must wear our faith out loud: wear a cross necklace, say “God Bless you,” to our taxi drivers when we leave, pray at the dinner table at a restaurant, invite a friend to go to Church with us, or *gasp* TALK about our faith at a group gathering!

Christianity can’t be something that is reserved for Sunday mornings anymore, or just a “fall asleep” ritual as we close our eyes at night.

I’m guilty of that. I think it’s scary. But there is so much darkness in the world right now. SO much darkness. The world needs our light. It needs Christ’s light through us.

Matthew 5: 14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Jesus is talking to you and me. We are that city that cannot be hidden. We need to shine – shine now brighter than ever. Our world depends on it.

Lord, please protect our Jewish and Asian brothers and sisters, and any person who finds themselves in the path of hatred. Protect them, and change the hearts of those who wish them harm. And Lord, embolden us, that we may have the courage to be Your light in this dark and desolate world.

Amen.

“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5

  1. I sure wish I had something to contribute here, but I don’t. So much is going wrong right now that I’m just glad to live well outside Memphis. I get nervous driving into the city to do anything. I pray for Julie every day for her safe trip to work in the city and back. I’m starting to feel like a turtle wanting to shrink into my shell.

I’m with you; prayer is important. After that…as you said – what can we do?

And if teaching your children about God and how to live peaceably with others is wrong, what have we come to?!? sigh

    • Hey Jeff – the news of these attacks really leaves one speechless, doesn’t it? Yeah, my dad just called me to tell me to be careful in the city. I feel ya there – especially with loved ones, the heart wants to make sure they’re safe!! Youre right, there’s power in prayer, but sometimes, I just want something tangible, in the flesh, action! Right?! I so agree – Lord, have mercy! thank you for stopping by, Jeff. I hope you and your girls had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a great start! Hugs and love xox

      • So far so good. Taking next week off. Been feeling a bit crispy around the edges and realized I haven’t had any vacation since early December. I keep praying for you and Steve and your safety. Every time I see headline out of NYC I think about you. STAY SAFE!!!!!

      • Oh that’s so great!!! Where will you be headed?! Hopefully some place with a beach or at least a place where you can get a frozen drink with a little umbrella in it 🙂 heheh ENJOY your time off, Jeff!! Thanks again for the prayers! Praying for a blessed and relaxing time off for you and your fam! hugs xo

      • Unfortunately, Julie doesn’t get as much vacation time as I do, so I’m just staying home. And that’s welcome for all the travel I’ve done so far this year. Plus, I joined Voices.com last week Monday and have been putting in LOT of auditions. No nibbles yet. Vacation week will give me time to do that without interruptions. Hope springs eternal!!

      • Hey Steven, I know that there is a lot of pain for all of us right now…especially in our jewish communities!! But we have to remember who is responsible. Caralyn has chosen to use her voice FOR the jews, not against us. Whether you see Yeshua as the Messiah or not, we must support one another. I am grateful that Caralyn has made her stand for those who face oppression.

    • Just a reminder that the worst persecutors of Jews were the fascists led by Hitler. They exterminated 6 million and incarcerated many more. True, historically Christians have been guilty of persecuting Jews. But two things – they could never have justified their persecuting behaviour from the leader of their faith Jesus or from the New Testament scriptures. Second, I don’t think you’ll find examples of Christians persecuting Jews in recent history (because of 1 above).

    • Thank you friend. Absolutely. The violence needs to end. Sending love and prayers! xox

    • It can feel very daunting to be bold for Christ, I agree. There have been many times I’ve *wanted* to shout “Repent! Turn from your ways!” Have you ever thought that, too? A lot of times, people need the gentleness and grace of the gospel… a listening ear and an encouraging conversation. For others, they need strong law. I think the latter can be the harder of the two to share!
Anyway, thanks for the post. ❤️
P.S. I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet but I’m so happy for you and your Steven! 😊 What a blessing and a long awaited answer to prayer.

      • Hi Hannah! Gosh, thank you so much for your support! You’re so right – the saying, “You attract more flies with honey than you can with vinegar” comes to mind hehe. And yay! yes! thank you so much! You’re right. I’m happier than I’ve ever been before. Thanks for saying that. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Pete. That’s such a great reminder! That promise is life-changing! Hugs and love xox

  2. Amen! But in order to be His light, you must make sure you’re spending adequate time with Him every day. Take time each day, preferably first thing in the morning, to read His word and pray. Speak with Him and let Him speak to you. You’ll be emboldened to stand for Him, and He can easily show you what He has for you that day. Praying for you and your friends!!

    • Hi Kenneth, You’re so right about that! Wow what a powerful point. We must be connected to the vine — or the “power source” if you will. Those are such great suggestions. THank you for this powerful response, and for your prayers, my friend! i hope your week is off to a great start! Hugs and love xox

  3. This is what happens when a nation turns its collective back on God. America has seen her best days I’m afraid…

    • You’re so right about that, John. It is playing out right before our eyes. thanks for stopping by. Hugs and love xox

  4. It is less what we say and more what we do, which most impacts our children. Children will believe what they want. Your parent’s steadfastness it seems to me, has much to do with your own steady faith.

    • You’re right- children see our example every single day. thank you for sharing your heart on this. Yeah, i am blessed to have had such great parents to emulate! Hugs and love xox

  5. The whole thing is demonic. We are told to be tolerant. But those who are saying this, tend to be the most intolerant of all. What we are seeing is the dividing up of sheep vs goats. What was once evil is now good and what was once good is now evil. Who could imaging we would ever hear “Kill the jews” as a slogan in America? A media personality recently tweeted “We need another Hitler.” It used to be that words like these could buy you some serious consequences. That is no longer the case.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. That’s a great point – putting up with hatred isn’t tolerance, it’s allowing evil to continue. It’s scary to see where how far society has fallen. Hugs and love xox

    • It is really so heartbreaking and terrible to see. Praying for our Jewish brothers and sisters! thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  6. It takes courage to take the stances you are taking, but don’t give up. You’re doing the right thing. You are being salt and light to the world. As should we all who are believers. You are absolutely correct that the number one job of parenting is to present the good news of Christ to our children. Don’t let the enemy or the naysayers discourage you. Keep going. Keep strong.

    • I agree with Deborah, and I do not doubt that your courage is emboldening others. Keep taking that stand for Christ! Like you said, this world needs light more than ever! God bless, protect, and encourage you, Caralyn!

      • Thank you so much Colleen for your kind words of encouragement! Yes! Let’s share His light! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Deborah for your encouragement and support! it truly means so much!! Yes! i fully agree – that is the role of parents! I feel very blessed to have had two parents who did that for me 🙂 Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Becky! i really appreciate your support! Hugs and love xox

  7. Great one. It’s hard, but we have to keep hope, especially as things get darker. I pray for peace for the victims and their families, and peace for the angry hearts of the perpetrators.

Prayer is awesome and where it all begins I believe, but if you want something tangible, look no further than the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. I’m guilty of not fulfilling my duties as a Catholic there, and I have zero excuse. It’s the way I show my love of Christ yet I haven’t so much as donated clothes in months. I think that’s where I’ll start, thank you for the challenge!

    • Thank you so much Mike! You’re so right – we HAVE to keep the hope, despite the darkness that seems to be getting darker by the minute. Amen – there is power in prayer! Hugs and love xox

  8. Thanks for another great, thought-provoking post. Anti-semitism has such a long history, and unfortunately our Christian tradition has played a large role in it. I’m so glad you’re taking the time to name and reject it!

Would you be opposed to me doing a video on the topic of indoctrination for my Youtube channel, referencing, even sharing a link to your work? I think it’s an important conversation to have regarding the frameworks we choose for ourselves and our kids, and it flows well with what my channel deals with.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! You’re so right – right now more than ever, we need to support our Jewish brothers and sisters! Oh wow – I would be honored! thanks for asking! 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  9. No one is trying to “cancel” you Caralyn. When you write posts that deliberately exclude groups, as you did in your “radical feminist book” post, and state God is somehow on your side and not their side, you are feeding into the hatred. Maybe take a step back and see how you are contributing to this mess. You are indeed not “helpless.”

    • Hi Peter, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just want to point out, I’ve never said I’m helpless, nor that I can even begin to know the divine mind of God. But, thanks for joining the dialogue.

  10. Amen, Caralyn, well said! We must stand firm during this time of darkness, and share the love of Jesus with everyone. God have mercy on our country and spread healing and revival! God bless you!

    • Thank you so much Ryan for your support! Amen – you hit the nail on the head: we MUST share His love!!! Hugs and love xox

  11. Sadly, I’m not surprised anymore by what people said about Christian indoctrination…

Side note, I mentioned this to my pastor yesterday… I have some friends from my previous church who have been missionaries in several parts of the Muslim world. When they first went over there, they were in the Palestinian side of Jerusalem, and the dad of this family said that it was a soccer World Cup year, and he found it curious that a lot of Palestinian households were going for Germany. He asked someone why… and it was because of Hitler. I always think of the Holocaust as something that happened a long time ago; it’s really sad that some today still have that view of Jews.

    • Oh wow, Greg. That is terrifying to hear. and so incredibly sad. Wow. That makes me sick. Thank you for sharing that and bringing that truth to light. Praying hard for our Jewish brothers and sisters! Hugs and love xox

  12. Joining you in the prayer above, for our Jewish and Asian brothers and sisters.
As Christians, I think our bearing towards the Jewish people should align with Jesus’ bearing.
The hatred is wrong and has to stop.

    • Hello my beautiful friend! Thank you for your support and friendship and positivity! Yes – we must pray for those being persecuted and be His light! You are a great example of being that light! 🙂 love you friend! hugs xox

    • Oh my gosh, Mariam – you are too kind! thank you so much! I am seriously so touched and grateful for your readership! Hugs and love xox

  13. Unfortunately racism is seemingly inbuilt in all cultures as I’ve observed around the world in my work and travels. Evolution has somehow convinced the majority that there are higher forms of humans and lower forms. I believe that God created our original parents and all of the races descend from them so we are one big worldwide family. I count it a privilege to have learned from all the cultures I’ve worked or done business in and count many from diverse cultures as my close friends. I’m distressed when I hear about any kind of violence against fellow human beings. Governments can legislate but that doesn’t take hate out of human hearts. Only God can do that and is willing to repair our minds if we will only listen to Him.

    • Hi Ian, thank you for this thoughtful response. Sadly, you’re right – I don’t know why people think it’s okay to harbor such hatred, but it is just terrible. Yes – God can do all things, even change stone cold hearts. Hugs and love xox

  14. Hate divides and kills, while love changes the atmosphere. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)

For many years I worked in the criminal justice system with teens and their parents. Often they were angry and hostile, wanting to kill each other and me. I found that when I silently released love on them, the atmosphere changed. The demons of hate could not operate in pure love. The real people came out and much good change happened. Find ways to love others and it will stop the hatred that has been stirred up in our society.

    Hugs and love xoxo

    • That is such a powerful verse, and so true! Love changes things. And wow – what an incredibly importatant line of work – thank you for sharing that. I can only imagine the number of lives you changed for the better! Hugs and love xox

  15. I agree with you completely about raising children according to the Bible and not awash in this moral free fall. There are beliefs and attitudes unheard of when I was growing up. And be accused of indoctrination? To quote The Princess Bride – inconceivable!!!

When it comes to Israel, the Bible says those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. If anyone does a quick survey of history from from 500s BC to 1950, guess what happened to nations with antisemitism as national policy. They’re not around – that is the short answer. So yes pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the soon return of our King Jesus. Shalom. XOXO

    • Yes! thank you so much 🙂 Inconceivable – true!!! Wow, i didn’t know the Bible said that, but wow — in case anyone needed a point blank Biblical stance, there it is!! wow! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much Asya, wow you are very kind to say that. Hugs and love xox

  16. Caralyn, thank you for your “Esther” stance. May God continue to grant you boldness. Not only for those who need to hear the truth, but for those who need to be encouraged toward boldness in their faith. I just read again this week the story of the Samaritan women. Jesus said the fields are ready for harvest. That we only need open our eyes. Satan would want us to think we are such a minority that we should remain silent in fear. Jesus exclaimed there are many ready to hear and be saved. There are so many that He told us to pray God send more harvesters! Sounds more like a problem with not enough of us speaking and harvesting rather than no one willing to listen. So keep speaking! There are many hungry to hear. More than we realize.

    • Hi Robin, thank you for your wonderfully kind words of encouragement. it truly means so much! Yes! The fields are ready! 🙂 glad you stopped by. Hugs and love xox

  17. Let me just say something.

Don’t run politics *against them. Those ones there*

You create hate. It’s not like the color of your eyes – you are not born with hate.

    It is created.

Then – just a few times I would like to here a prayer for Palestine – and Palestinian People.

Stop occupying more land. Stop Blockading Palestine.

Palestinians are free people – like the rest of us – and they will get their passports.

    Finally.

Stop ascribing good – or evil – to a political group, a different religion, a different color, a different American.

Find Christians where they are – and they are everywhere – in all these groups – and their eyes are on Jesus.

    Jesus.

    Jesus.

    • Thank you Kreemer for sharing your thoughts on this and joining the dialogue! Hugs and love xox

  18. I pray for the Jewish people being victimized in the cities and neighborhoods they live in.

I pray for the gentle voice of Love Jesus calls with.

You can love a woman who chooses abortion. You can live a man who is afraid of immigrants. You can love a homosexual. You can live a Muslim. You can love people who do not think racism exists.

We are going to have to love people despite their *flaws* because the devil has us seeing evil in each other

And Christians must reach across and hold each other’s hands and invoke a God of Love, and confess that we can not do it anymore – and cry out to Jesus to change our hearts and bring love in – because we need him.

    We have to humble ourselves.

    We are wrong.

    Everyone of us.

    Wanting to be right.

Find Christian from across the isle – agree only that Jesus is Lord, King of Kings – and is able – and find the courage to get on our knees – hand in hand with the Christian we hate – and give the power back to Jesus

    Wash over us Jesus

We are your children and we are in trouble

    Wash over us

    • thank you so much Penny. I appreciate you stopping by. sending so much love and hugs xox

  19. I too am shocked at the recent surge in anti-asian and anti-Semitic attacks. The recent legislation will take time to make its effects known.

For now, every person of good will, no matter their religion, must teach in the home respect for those different from you.

Revenge, real or imagined causes, is the way of death. Dialog and seeking out what we have in common is key to accepting one another.

  20. “Christianity can’t be something that is reserved for Sunday mornings anymore, or just a “fall asleep” ritual as we close our eyes at night.” All of us have a responsibility to use the platform God has entrusted to each of us to speak. God created us to be different on purpose. This notion that it is okay to discrimination or mistreat someone in the name of Jesus is wrong and not biblical. I appreciate you speaking the truth without sugarcoaring it. Christianity is a lifestyle and not something done only on a Sunday morning. Our light should be shining and we have to depend on God for wisdom before we speak or act. My prayer is every Christian’s eyes will be open to the darkness around us and everyone will make a decision to help their light shine. Great job on speaking truth to power.

    • Hi Ada, thank you for sharing your heart on this. You’re right – God created each of us to be unique. Joining you in that important prayer! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Ali for your support!!! Yes! Let’s be bold and let His light shine! Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you so much Tim! I so appreciate you passing this article along! it means a lot! Hugs and love xox

  21. How come you don’t speak on the police killing Black people? GEORGE Floyd lynched a year ago today. Breeona Taylor? Andrew brown Jr? Ronald Greene? Where is the conversation on the Anti Black hate in America? Tulsa Oklahoma race massacre happend a 100 years ago may 31,1921,African Americans need topics as well

    • Hi Amy, thank you so much for your support. amen – we need to shine His light in the dark. Glad you stopped by. I hope you’re having a great week, and a wonderful long weekend ahead! Hugs and love xox

  22. We live in a fallen world that’s been that way since Eden. Evil is real and it shows itself most obviously in the violent hatred that characterizes racism. Yet our Lord told us to love our enemies. I agree with you. The best way to display our love is to inform them about Jesus Christ and pray for them to believe in Him.

    • You’re absolutely right about that, Rollie. We live in a fallen world. Come, Lord Jesus. You’re right – there’s power in prayer, and power in sharing His light and love. Hugs and love xox

  23. This is beautifully written. Great observations.
There are so many examples in the Bible of what happens when people turn away from God. This is what we are living through.
I say it often, you cannot legislate evil out of the hearts of men.
    Keep writing. Great stuff!

  24. I wrote something scheduled to come out soon about expecting a backlash. I guess I will need to edit the post a bit. The world has gone crazy when we see something to hate in everyone around us. I cannot remember who said it, but it is true that Satan’s biggest weapon is isolation, dividing so that he can conquer. But stay strong and love one another.

  25. People require compassion and kindness – key traits for making the environment better. It’s extremely disheartening to hear the World’s only super power exhibit such inhuman acts.

  26. These “Palestinians” are a total falsehood. If you read the actual history and the facts, the Jews trace their ancestory back thousands o years. These so-called Palestinians trace their lineage ll the way back to 1964. To think they have any legitimate claims to any lands or cities as a “people” is to be duped by the media and education system, both of which hate America and seek our demise. To allow this kind of hate to go unfettered and unchallenged is to participate in this heinous activity.

  27. Dear Caralyn and Steven, this is what I spoke about in previous blogs and comments on yours. I wish it would get better, but the arc of history and the “last days” in which we live suggest it will not. Yes, you will shine, and you DO, even brighter as the world gets darker. Recall why jewelers put diamonds on black velvet when showing them: to make the contrast shine even more.
We are called to be faithful, and we should “not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.” 1 Peter 4:12-14
There are trying times ahead and Father is purifying the Bride of Christ to present us as a bright and spotless Bride (Revelation 19:6-8).
“Oh, Lord of all creation, may we be faithful to Him who has redeemed us with His blood and not shrink back from bearing the Name!”
    ❤️&🙏, c.a.

  28. For what it’s worth, I thought you were right on here, and with the indoctrinating kids piece. Sadly, social media seems to bring out the worst in some people. Then again, some people have never been taught how to disagree politely.

  29. I keep thinking this must be an organized evil group doing this. It is so sad to think that people going about living their every day lives would even think of such. There is no excuse. We need to watch out for these brothers and sisters and keep them in our prayers. Thank you for getting this out. You have such an amazing heart.

  30. Forgive me for the long comment but what you wrote made me think of a commentary on a scripture I was reading recently. The scripture was D&C 115:5 which reads, “Verily I say unto you all: Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations.”
The commentary comes from an Apostle named John A. Widtsoe. He said in the early years of World War 2, “What is our mission to the world? I have turned to the scriptures to get the answer, and have found the answer, both in ancient and modern scriptures. It is that the Church of Christ at all times must be as a standard to the nations, a standard to which all nations, all people, all men may turn as they seek safety, peace, and happiness.

“It is our great mission … to be a standard to all the world, and we say without hesitation that those who obey and comply with that standard will find that which men most desire in life. It is a bold declaration, tremendously bold, that a small people in the valleys of these mountains, misunderstood, often harassed by persecution, may become the standard by which all mankind may be led to peace and happiness; but so it is. I am not saying it. It is the word of the Lord, both in ancient and modern days [see Isaiah 62:10–12]. If this standard would be accepted by the world the things we pray and hope for would soon come.

“Let me say that the Church of itself cannot be this standard. Since the Church is made up of individuals, it becomes an individual responsibility to make the Church a standard for the nations. I must be a standard in my life. I must so conduct myself that I may be a standard worthy of being followed by those who seek the greater joy in life.” (In Conference Report, Apr. 1940, p. 35.)

As a member of a church that was persecuted (many years ago), the persecution today suffered by those of any faith is frightening and saddening. I compliment you on speaking up. Though we are of different faiths, I believe both of our faiths are based in Jesus Christ. You are being a “light… for all nations” with posts like this. Kudos to you for speaking up boldly on something important. Well written. Thank you.

  31. Your posts are getting very political recently. I have my views on Israel but will keep them to myself, all I will say is its like America going to war with Peru. Very unfair situation and hopefully it gets resolved soon before there is no Machu Picchu.

  32. “I was truly shocked by the number of dissenting comments, expressing backlash against my position: claiming that, Christian indoctrination of children is even more harmful.”

I’m totally with you, Caralyn. It’s funny that people complain against Christian indoctrination. Where is that happening? It’s certainly not happening anywhere in the public arena! All we see is neo-Marxist indoctrination of identity politics, CRT, and anti-American fictional history being forced on our children. And what’s so bad about Christian teaching on freedom, loving your neighbor as yourself, character over skin color, respecting those in authority, etc? People like to point out the so-called “Christian” atrocities in history. Fair enough. But will they point out the atrocities happening today by the atheistic radical left? No, because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Truth doesn’t matter, only emotional blackmail.

But, truthfully, it’s an insane world we’re living in right now. We would rather have endless riots, constant race-baiting about every subject, divisiveness and hatred based on what skin color you were born with (white, especially), where truth is denied because it doesn’t fit the activist neo-Marxist woke narrative. It’s antithetical of what civil right heroes like Martin Luther King fought for. It’s the new racism with a vengeance and it’s destroying our country. As you pointed out, violence is at an all time high. States are shut down like internment camps? We talk about the names of people shot by police but do we know the names of all the police officers shot by criminals, many of these police officers were black and hispanic. No, we don’t don’t talk about them because it doesn’t fit the narrative. The whole thing is hypocritical and dysfunctional.

  33. Beauty, this is a good post, really good. In my world of the supernatural, I have come across some great people who see things similar to my point of view. One is Doug Giles (.com) an artist who believes that the church has made sissy’s out of men and that is why men are hesitant to become Christians. It’s all a misinterpretation of Christian men. God’s men who really know God for who he is are “real men.” I can site so many characters and examples in scripture to support my claim. Let me bring it up to speed with men I know. I watched 2 Amish men talk about their adventures in Iraq when Muslim Extremeist were beheading Christians including children. These 2 Amish guys walked right up to these men to witness about Jesus to them. The Muslim warriors were thrown back at the brazen courage of these un-armed men. They said, don’t you know we can cut your heads off right here and now? The Christian men said, “no you can’t unless God allows it!” The Amish brothers proceeded to tell the muslims of the good news and then walked away without any harm.

My own experiences in the supernatural include casting out demons when doing healing. If a demon shows up, I deal with it by casting it out. Not long ago I was at Chicago O’Hare Airport having coffee at Starbucks while waiting for my daughters flight to board. A man came up us to panhandle money. We politely told him no (we have a lot of street ministry experience and we know what ou rmoney supports so we don’t give them any), the man became aggressive withj us and my wife told him to go get a job (she cut threw the layers of self deceit quickly). The man responded and said, “I can blow your ear drums out!” I sat there seriously thinking, did I just here this come out of his mouth? Then I looked him in the eyes sternly and said, COME HOLY SPIRIT! The battle was on for me. He was smart enough to take three steps back and briskly walk away. I don’t mess with demons, i have cast too many out to put up with their garbage.

My training in someway resembles that of the early disciples. Demons confronted them and the disciples simply cast them out. The church today needs to find out who they really are so they can take authority over the street violence using simple words demonstrating that we have authority in the earth, not them. Selah

  34. Thank you for being bold in your faith and calling out truth. I couldn’t help but think of Romans 1 where it says God reveals Himself to everyone and

    Romans 1:21-22
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

Thank you for encouraging us to be bold in our faith. Christ has many promises for those who overcome:
    1. We get to eat from the tree of life (Rev 2:7)
    2. We will not be hurt by the second death – Rev 2:11
    3. We will get a new name written on a stone that no one knows except he who receives it – Rev 2:17
    4. We will have authority over the nations and will ave the morning star when Christ returns – Rev 2:26-28
    5. We will be clothed in white garments and our name will not be erased from the book of life AND Jesus will confess Him before our father
    6. We will become a pillar in the temple of God and Christ will write on us – the name of is God, the name of the city of His God (the new Jerusalem) and His new name. – Rev 3:12
    7. We will sit with Him on His throne – Rev 3:21
    8. We will inherit all things new that God promises in Rev 21:5

So let’s stand strong NOW. Thanks again for reminding us!!🙌

  35. The Media rhetoric presents only two sides to the issues in the Middle East, tarring both communities and reducing a complex issue to pro and anti Israel.

Restoring the homeland was a Christian – Zionist response to trying to push God’s restoration prophesies to fulfilment before their time. When governments get things wrong the people suffer. Just as the bible tells us repeatedly.

The answer? Acts 10: 34, 35 God isn’t partial, 2 Peter 3: 9 he wants all to be saved, John 17: 3 it is the knowledge of God and his son the offers the gift of everlasting life

  36. Amen Amen and Amen. Praying for God to continue to strengthen you with Boldness to proclaim the power of Jesus Christ. Another timely Post… It is the Appointed Time, my friend…

  37. I heartily agree. It’s hard to reconcile the headlines, the crimes, the actual push from half of DC and growing demonstrations around the country AGAINST Israel. Our present leaders are setting a really dangerous tone and it is emboldening a nasty mean spirited section of our populace I didn’t even know we had here in the good, old USA. Prayer, and speaking up, and more prayer. Lord, help. Amen,

    Thank you once again!

  38. Hi Caralyn,
I heartily agree with you. We are actively rejecting God, and pushing Him out, to our detriment and at our peril.

And you’re right. It’s become wrong and evil to indoctrinate our children to follow God. It’s become evil to do good and good to do evil. But God says specifically in Malachi 2,

“Didn’t the LORD make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are His. And what does He want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth.” ~ Malachi 2:15, NLT.

So this whole thing about Christians indoctrinating their children, and how evil that is, is nothing but a crock that’s being put forward by a bunch of God-haters who don’t know what they’re talking about. Plus I would rather follow God and be hated by men than the reverse. The first will get me into Heaven, while the reverse will send me to hell. And I’m DEFINITELY not interested in going to hell!

“Indoctrination” of children is really nothing more than brainwashing them into thinking what you want—if they’re thinking something different that you think needs to be changed. If children are thinking what you want them to think, they don’t need indoctrination. All they need is teaching to reinforce what they already know. However, I don’t agree with this. I’ve discovered the hard way that a life founded on God’s Word is a successful life. As well, the Bible says,

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” ~ Proverbs 22:6, KJV.

That’s not indoctrination or brainwashing. It’s simply teaching children about God, which is a parent’s most important job, as it says in Malachi 2:15.

So you just keep doing what you’re doing, Caralyn, boldly speaking the truth of God’s Word regardless of any opposition you encounter. For what it’s worth you definitely have my support.

  39. Thank you for your thoughts on this… I don’t understand anymore where all this hate is coming from. It goes beyond just the attacks that are portrayed in the media. It is so ingrained in our society that we can’t allow another person their little place under the sun anymore.

It starts with the smallest things, whether it is the basic differences in us from our skin color to our sex or whether we agree with whatever is being preached from some pulpit (and I am not just referring to religious pulpits).

Thank you for staying strong and not allowing your voice to be quietened. ♥️

    • thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this and for your words of encouragement! i agree – we need to break free from this grip of hatred on our world! Hugs and love xox
