Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh!!!
When you’re reading this, my special gentleman, Steven, and I will be on the plane, heading to OHIO!!!!
I don’t know if you can sense my excitement or anything 😉 BUT I’M SO DANG PUMPED!!
Tomorrow (Friday), we’ll both be working from home, and then on Saturday, my entire family will be together!
This is the first time our entire family will have been in the same place since the January before the pandemic! So my heart is just exploding out of my chest with joy.
And the fact that Steven is going to be there, just makes it all the more special and meaningful.
Pumpkins will be picked at proper patches. Skyline chili will be devoured. Bengals will be rooted for. Whisky will be sipped upon. And laughs will be had by the barrel-full.
Ugh, I cannot wait!
My nieces and nephews absolutely love Steven. (No surprise there 😉 hehe ) So they’ve been counting down the days until our visit, just like me!
If there’s one thing that I’ve taken away from the pandemic, it’s the importance of spending quality time with people that you care about.
And so now that there’s no travel restrictions/hesitancy anymore, I’m just gobbling up the opportunities I have to spend with my family in the heartland. Even for just little quick “pop-ins” here and there – there’s nothing more important than family!
I’ve had the blessing of spending a lot of time with Steven’s wonderful family here in New York, too, since they live so close! I even spent Thanksgiving with them last year! I’d say, at least one weekend per month, we get together, and I cherish that time so much. I truly feel so blessed to have been welcomed into such a loving family!
Anywho – I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too! And are able to spend some quality time with your loved ones as well! There really is nothing better in this world, if you ask me 🙂

I’m not sure yet what I’m doing for the weekend, except that I have to choose between two different things at the same time on Sunday. Hopefully relaxing the rest of the weekend, because I’ve been really tired. I’m taking a break from posting new episodes of DLTDGB; this was planned, I always take a break every six months in the fictional timeline. I also need to do a lot of planning for upcoming episodes, because some big things will be happening in the fictional universe.
