Hello from Kleinfeld’s!!
Yes! The day has finally arrived! After two covid-related reschedules, my mama and I are FINALLY trying on wedding dresses! And boy, are we having a BLAST doing it!!!
And dare I say…I think we have FOUND THE DRESS!! We have two more appointments tomorrow, but the third dress I tried on is in a league of it’s own!
It was at Kleinfeld’s — which is the store from the TV show, “Say Yes to the Dress!” And believe it or not, I have actually never seen an episode of that show! haha But the owners, Ronny and Mara, came over and were helping us, and wow, wow, wow! And we heard from the friends that we sent photos to, that they are the personalities on the show!
THIS DRESS. Oh my gosh, I wish I could post a photo of it! I cried when I put it on. I had my “bridal moment!”
It’s funny, all I want to do is share photos of it with my fiancé, Steven!! But of course, I can’t!
It was a complete departure from what I THOUGHT I was going to like, but wow. It is the most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen! I’m pretty sure it’s the one!
Anywho — my mom and I are currently watching videos of the Cathedral and the wedding reception venue to see which dress is going to best “fit” the spaces, and then head to dinner…so I’m going to get back to being in the moment with her.
But I just wanted to check in and fill you in on the excitement! Thanks for sharing in the joy with me!

My husband and I have been married for 45 years and I never tried on wedding dresses at a shop, so if we make it to 50 years, I want to take my daughter and daughter-in-law and finally shop for a wedding dress. Back in the day, my aunt was a seamstress and designed and made my dress which was perfect for the day, but I never had the experience of shopping for a wedding dress. Let’s just say, it is a bucket list to do just that at Kleinfelds.

Hi Caralyn, as I was admiring you trying on several dresses, and they were beautiful and you are beautiful, I just didn’t think any of these lovely dresses were for you. I totally agree with your dad on that one dress being “oh so not for you!” I believe that the final ONE and ONLY! Will be the ONE, and others ONLY!
