The Grammys Goes to Hell

I made the mistake of watching the Grammys last night.

Sam Smith's performance of Unholy at The Grammys was a Satanic orgy. And if you're not terrified for the young people this smut is being forced upon...then you'd better wake up. #grammys #samsmith #catholic #unholy #culture #christianity #santanic #faith #cbs #religion

I know, I know…my bad. I thought I had properly prepared myself for the pompous display of self-importance and smut…but the onslaught of the outright Satanic orgy we witness was something I was utterly unprepared for.

And I am still deeply unsettled and disgusted by the whole display.

I’m sure you’ve heard about it now, but singer, Sam Smith – who recently came out as genderqueer and nonbinary – and his singing partner, Kim Petras — who is a transgender female (aka, a man who transitioned into a woman) — performed their song “Unholy” at the Grammys, and I am not exaggerating or “clutching my pearls” when I say that it was a full blown Satanic ritual, complete with explicit BDSM imagery — a cage, whips, chains, outfits, etc.

There was fire. Occult symbols. Sam wore red paten leather leggings with a strapy red leather BDSM top, a devil horned hat, and a red cane — which he used to grind his genitals on. And he was surrounded by exorcism-looking faceless men with long hair a la The Ring, who were thrusting their pelvises against Sam while doing the Sign of the Cross while acting like they were having orgasms.

“Mummy don’t know daddy’s getting hot at the body shop doing something unholy.” Those are the lyrics, just in case you were curious.

It was deeply disturbing. Deeply. Disturbing.

I got really upset during the broadcast. And I was asked “Why watch if it bothers me so much.”

And that is precisely it.

It is important to be informed about what our kids are consuming.

I will say that again for the people in the back.

It is crucial for us to be informed about what our kids are consuming.

Even with parental controls on TV and strict rules about what your kids watch at home, once they’re at school — they’re with friends who watch this smut. They have access to the internet where they can watch it.

Heck, CBS put this garbage on Prime Time, during a show that families watch.

Society not only has no respect for a child’s innocence, but in fact, they are actively trying to indoctrinate them into thinking that sex, satan, promiscuity, gender fluidity and sexual deviance is encouraged and should be celebrated. And anyone who thinks otherwise is a bigot and homophobic.

It is absolutely terrifying to think that one day when Steven and I have kids, – God willing – that this is the world they are going to grow up in and have to navigate.

I watched last night, because there needs to be people out there who stand up and say, “This is WRONG.” We need the voice of Truth.

We need voice of opposition, saying: This is evil. This is demonic and we need to stop letting this filth be shoved down the throats of our impressionable children.

We already know that in our post-Christian society, a vast number of children are being raised without a foundation of faith. And therefore, their formation is being shaped by secular public school education and the garbage that’s on TV. It deeply saddens my heart to think of impressionable young minds who look at that and develop a curiosity about Satan and the occult; who look at that and try to emulate the raunchy dance moves or think that you have to dress racily to be accepted; who look at that and begin to contemplate the misleading concept of whether they were “born into the right gender.”

Not to mention the complete disrespect of religion and the gift of sexuality that God created between man and woman – husband and wife.

Why did I watch? Because I want to know what these kids are going to be talking about in the hallways at school. What the guys will be talking about in the locker rooms. What girls will think guys want. What will trickle down into high school relationships as “expectations” based on what is being pushed on our kids by these self-important, lost and wayward celebrities.

It is an influence. And if that doesn’t scare the living daylights out of you, then my friend: you had better wake up.

If everyone who is “offended” — for lack of a better word — just turned a blind eye to it so as to live in ignorance, then this smut would just go on, growing stronger and more pervasive, without any opposition or push back.

We need to be the push back.

We need to step forward and say, enough is enough. It’s time to take off your BDSM bondage get up, put on some real clothes, and quit glamorizing Satan and all his evil manifestations.

He is a liar — and is feeding us lies right down to the identity kids feel they don’t belong in.

Lord, have mercy.

  1. I actually missed his performance sis. Thank God! The Grammys, AMA even the Oscars are orgy performances and right out satanic rituals for his liking! They initiate and summon him on the screen! When I seen what Sam Smith had on and the comments of who he brought with him, I was like woah 😳 this is a ritual waiting to happen. I’m mad because we can’t watch our favorite singers sing and celebrate their successes with the devil being involved. Even so come Lord Jesus. Stay vigilant 💞🙌🏿 Not even tame enough to hide anymore. Don’t get me started with Adele’s red dress 🤔

    • Thank you for sharing your heart on this. You’re right – it’s a scary thing!! Woah indeed. and amen – gotta stay vigilant. Lord, have mercy! Hugs and love xox

  2. Wow, Caralyn! I knew this program was coming on but chose to not watch because of the offensive crap I knew would be on. I completely agree with you. The evil one never stops but we know one day that the Lord will put a swift end to this evil. Thank you for expressing your voice! 👍🏻🙏🏻

    • You’re right about that, Ian. Thank you for stopping by and for sharing this wisdom! Hugs and love xox

  3. Thank you! You said what I do not have the courage to. I gave up on the Grammies and other such award shows years ago for this very reason. They various “artists” the chance to “celebrate” and promote every shallow and vain thing that is wrong in our society today.

With the way things in our world are going and things such as the million and one gender and sexual identifications are being accepted with nothing more than a blink of the eye, I’m scared that we will have chaos in our world before we know it. There is a reason the word ban exists. Not to control people, but rather define limits. Without limits, there is chaos.

In short, thank you for being brave enough to post this.

    • Thank you Megan! I agree – the night was just one celebration of self and anti-Christian theme after another. It breaks my heart to think what teens today have to navigate. so glad you stopped by, and thank you for the support. Hugs and love xox

    • Thank you Deborah for the support. It really was a disturbing display for the entire world to see. Hugs and love xox

  4. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I didn’t know about it, but you are so right that we need to stay alert and take a stand. The devil is coming out roaring like a lion to devour our children, and many parents are simply unaware.

    • You’re right – we must stay alert with our eyes on the Lord. Amen! Thanks Daryl! Hugs and love xox

    • It really is truly terrifying, Stephanie. I can’t believe that this is what our culture has come to. so sad. thanks for stopping by. Hugs and love xox

    • I think that is the way to go, JB. Keeps your mind free from this filth! thanks for stopping by, my friend! Hugs and love xox

  5. I’m glad to hear some people still have moral integrity. Thanks for posting your outrage to this evil. I’m not for banning BUT this was totally unacceptable for prime tv viewing. Remember when they couldn’t say the word hell on tv and now they bring hell live! I didn’t watch, and will not watch CBS any time soon; if anyone cares for their family they will also stop watching the smut on major networks.

    • Hi Elisabeth. Thank you for the encouraging words and support. you’re right – completely unacceptable for a time slot that families watch together. Oh my gosh, that’s a great point. oh the irony. amen to that! Hugs and love xox

    • It really is pervasive. And now in Disney Channel and other children’s programming too. It is so sad. thank you Robin for stopping by. Hugs and love xox

      • You’re very welcome I enjoy visiting. Yeah Disney is definitely a disappointment. Lots of hugs , love and blessings to you as well.

    • hahahha oh my gosh this is gold. You’re right – that is what we were witnessing! (along with some other filth!) thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi friend. Yeah – you made the right decision not to watch. It is so sad to see how far our country has fallen. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox

    • Hi Erica. Thank you for your encouraging words and support. You’re right — it is being thrown straight at us!!! Hugs and love xox

  6. I never was a fan of the Grammys. I used to watch the Oscars and the Emmys, but all of them are no longer worth my time. Reading about this from you and the news reports saddens me. I just pray for revival in this country. It’s hard to believe the general audience liked this performance. But then, I’m not sure who then “general audience” is any more. Thank you, again, for bringing light to this awful performance.

    • Hi Andrea, thank you for your support. I will join you in the ever important prayer. You’re right – it is so incredibly sad. I appreciate you stopping by! Hugs and love xox

  7. God bless you for your passion for God and the things of God and for calling things as they are! I pray that God would use you to shine His truth onto the world! I so admire your bravery.

  8. I firmly believe there is an Abraham somewhere asking God, “What if there’re 10 righteous?”

And I pray this time, Abraham keeps bargaining down to 1.

  9. What you witnessed is what happens when God “gives them over” to their hearts’ desires. (Romans chapter 1) All I know to do is not to watch paganistic crap like that and to warn others of the danger involved in supporting those who sponsor it.

  10. Take note of the commercials in these programs, then find an email or phone number to call those companies and tell them if they continue to sponsor such filth then we won’t buy their products. (And don’t think calling the local station affilliate won’t matter, because it will, especially if you tell them the companies you will contact about it. They make advertising dollars, too.)
I read somewhere that if you can make a 2 or 3 % difference in their bottom line, they’ll see it. Whether they’re smart enough to make changes is questionable, but if they start losing enough money they’ll change something.
What they need to realize is that only about 3% (or less) of the population is in the demographic that supports this crap, and that’s not enough to cover the loses of decent people who say no to their products.

  11. Thank you for sharing this… I think. It made me sick. It made me cry. It made me angry. I didn’t watch the Grammy’s. Just when I thought Hollywood couldn’t sink any lower.

  12. I don’t disagree that this “performance” was way over the top for a broadcast network during prime time on a Sunday night and I agree with most of what you’ve said so I’ll ask the obvious question… why have you posted so many pictures (9) of it? Isn’t that a way of spreading their message? Couldn’t you have gotten your message across without them?

    • If she had not posted the pictures some might have thought she was exaggerating. Your “About” section clearly describes you and your enthusiasm for a particular team. Was it necessary to include a selfie? Remember. “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

      • I really don’t get your analogy and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t exaggerate from reading some of her past posts. I’m surprised she hasn’t responded to my question. When people talk about lets say animal abuse and then describe how awful the animal looked I don’t need to then see numerous pictures of the animal that someone tortured. IMO, by sharing these types of pictures you “glorify” the abuse and in the case of this Grammy performance, showing these disturbing images was unnecessary and in a way promoted that type of activity. Caralyn… any comment?

  13. Totally agree. I don’t want my soul, or the souls of my family, anywhere near this smut & sin. Still, I know the scriptures tell us this is what to expect in final days. Hard to digest, isn’t it? This is where we are. The sponsors need to hear from the concerned. God’s grip – Alan

  14. Sad, sad. And saddest is it being shown prime time without regard to impact on impressionable kids. But I’m sure in our current Hollywood culture they see it completely different, since their standard of living is a free for all.

  15. Caralyn, you are brave for speaking out against this. And your strength increases my own, and helps my faith as a struggling Christian. I do love Jesus, but I have often struggled to be brave enough to speak up for Him in today’s upside-down, broken and dark world. But I shared your article on my Facebook page, and I really don’t care who is bothered by it. Evil is evil, and must be called out! If I lose friends? So be it. It’s time we had the “stones” to speak up!

I will continue to pray for you, and support you. Continue speaking out. You have us all supporting you, and you are protected and sheltered by the One who is mightier than all the evil in the world. If He is for you, no one can stand against you. God bless you!

And welcome home to Ohio, by the way! It made me smile when I saw you and Steven had moved back here. My sister and her fiancé live in Cincinnati too! 🙂

  16. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was unaware of this, but I agree that we must make a stand to protect our children. Sadly, many parents are probably unaware of what their children are being exposed to.

  17. Holy smokes! I had no idea. I haven’t watched the Grammy Awards in decades. Watching rich folks patting each other on the back never appealed much to me but this is totally crazy. Thank you for speaking up and being willing to take a public stand against this kind of evil. Blessings on you as you wait for your special day.

  18. I have just investigated. I must say I tend to agree with you. Even compared with my love of heavy metal, this was pretty shocking. Did b you see the opening ceremony at Cerne. That was obviously satanic. We are in the end times. Things are going to get worse before they get better unfortunately https://youtu.be/b-TKQaqml6k
The world is in deep trouble,

  19. i missed this bit but the rest of it was pretty bad also. Horrible music compared to the music 20 or 30 years ago. what have they done. we must be the ones who preserve moral values and Godly ways in this world or the future of generations to come is doomed unfortunately. We must speak out.

  20. In “Letter to the American Church” Eric Metaxas points out the silence of the Church (the entire bride of Christ, not just the RC) enables demons to accomplish their goals of perverting society.
See https://capost2k.wordpress.com/2023/02/04/a-letter-to-the-american-church/ and more so, https://capost2k.wordpress.com/2023/01/14/do-not-pray-for-this-people/.
We have gone too far, and Father will bring judgment against us… note: NOT THEM, but US… for not being His disciples and not exhibiting the love AND holiness of Jesus.
While I cannot pray for America anymore, I pray for individuals that I know, that they will not be swept away in the coming new holocaust when it becomes illegal to post blogs such as you have posted.
I also pray FOR individuals in government (such as Biden and Schumer and Pelosi) that Father will somehow remove the hardness of their hearts and they will turn to Him and be saved.
    Even so, Lord Jesus, come.
    ❤️&🙏, c.a.

  21. Couldn’t agree more. All I saw was a couple images, and your post confirmed everything. Absolute unholy garbage. Thanks for speaking up as an artist. Bless you. Please have kids. The world will need them. You will raise them well,

    • Hi Daryl! I am so sorry your comments haven’t been posting! WordPress automattically sends some comments to the “pending approval tab” – and I sometimes miss it! So sorry, I do believe I’ve fixed the problem now, so they should post straight away! thank you so much for your readership! it means the world! Hugs and love xox

  22. Like others here, I gave up things like the award shows long ago. Thanks for taking the time to shed light on the decadence displayed on this one. Sadly, as some mentioned, it is likely inevitable the world will become even more depraved if the Bible.is the book we believe it is. Best wishes to you and Steven. Take care.

  23. I didn’t see the show, and I had no idea! The thing is, it was so disgusting that we should be hearing about it everywhere. Evil is seen as normal. Thank you for letting us know.

  24. We don’t have a tv for a reason. We made that decision at the beginning of our marriage. We homeschool our children for a reason. We made that decision BEFORE our marriage. People might think it is “sheltering” children to homeschool them. Actually, it means we get to protect them from absolute garbage like this. We are giving them a foundation to stand on. They will be exposed to enough when they go out in the world. I only pray that we have and continue to do all we can to prepare them. (As always, have to put a disclaimer, if you choose to send your kids to public school, that is a personal decision as is ours, I’m not bashing anyone! 🙂 ) I do NOT miss watching absolute garbage. We have dvds for the kids to watch and are subscribed to Amazon Prime for the adults, we get enough that way. No thank you, so glad I didn’t even know this was on. My husband told me about it after he saw something about it online. Stay safe, and stay vigilant! God Bless!

  25. I was thinking, sometimes there seems no rest from it…
    😞

And then, that it’s important to have a haven. A place of rest.
    Because it’s a (spiritual) war, a fight…

  26. It’s a sad state of affairs. As a screenwriter, I’ve not been motivated to write a dang thing because companies has put pressure on writers to write material that is “diverse” and marks off all their cubby holes. In fact, they are not top of the mind for me anymore, even though I should be checking out what is selling. Although our Christian Group in LA has been gaining in small steps, it’s still hard not to get swallowed up in all of it. I tried watching the Academy Awards show last year and turned it off disgustedly, then learned I missed the scandal of Will Smith. There is a Christian production company looking for faith based, but I’ve not attempted to submit anything yet. So, my point is, there are people out there, in the industry, who are wanting to make changes, but to what extent, I don’t know. All we can do is encourage everyone to pray for us to grow in numbers and get healthy Christian based shows made soon. I remember a time when nothing overly violent, profane or sexual could be aired before 9 PM, And sexual in my day was nothing compared to today. Sorry, if my thoughts got jumbled this evening. lol

  27. Yep watched a video on this yesterday by a Christian brother and its just disgusting and pure Satanism. Come on parents wake up and disallow your kids from watching and supporting such wicked music by the liar and his slaves. Even you Christian parents as well that have compromised. Repent and turn back to righteousness. I so agree with you Caralyn that we really need to push back! Blessings and grace <3

  28. I stopped watching a while ago. They push and push. Everything is so fake and contrived. They don’t cover rock or heavy metal. They constantly force established stars who don’t need the attention (Swift, Styles, etc). It is detestable. It’s no secret how Satanic and toxic the music industry is. Controlled by evil corporations that can destroy careers. Now, this? I can’t say I’m surprised. Personally, I don’t care what anyone is. Pushing it on a show younger generation watches is inappropriate. Yikes.

  29. I haven’t had broadcast TV for years now, but I read about this online. Not surprised anymore. *sigh* Thank you for your continued diligence is spotting and writing about these sort of things. AND I must wonder what sort of effects these things have on people with any sort of ED since they create expectations on one’s role and appearance in society. What do you think?

  30. Hi Caralyn, Thank you for speaking out as you do! I am so proud of you!
What is going on in this world is so disgusting and heartbreaking! I am 77 years old now and when I was growing up we still had decency and morals in this country. What has occurred, over my life time, is almost beyond belief! Because of my understanding of Bible prophesy I knew that all this was coming, but I never imaged that it would be like it is (I don’t know why — because it is all spelled out in the Bible and couldn’t be clearer!). I just didn’t think that this country could fall this low. Unfortunately, history is repeating itself. All of this was going on in ancient times and was what led up to the demise of each civilization. Our modern day prophets (like Jonathan Cahn) have been warning us and showing us what is happening and what is to come in the future. As an older woman, with knowledge of the past, I wish that I had had more understanding of the importance of trying to keep the values and beliefs that had been instilled in this country from the beginning. Our Forefathers fought to make this a country under God and ever slowly God has been taken out and the devil has been put in to reign. It is so difficult to accept what is happening!
I keep you and Steven and your families in my prayers.

  31. I think you were pretty much on point in what you wrote. The exception would be that I think you were too light about the extent of harm the messaging is causing across society. Amen to you for saying we must stand firm against the depravity that is wantonly unleashed on society. Brava that you were brave enough to set out your correct sentiments. It has not been easy raising my two daughters in this world. I have often heard things from them that I then had to take a step back and determine how to explain best that just because evil is prevalent does not make it right or something to emulate. Thank you again for a worthwhile read. I am trying to come up with a poem about this. So far, it has been to no avail. I can’t seem to find the words that flow with disgusting and vile in a nation led by ta man so senile.. it just goes too negative too quickly.

  32. Agree. I’m glad you can voice this out. Especially in the US. This is a decadence in morality. Luckily in my country, all of these craps are illegal and largely rejected in community. Let’s protect our kids’ future

    • Thank you so much! you’re absolutely right. culture has been in a serious moral decline. makes we very sad. let’s protect it indeed. Hugs and love xox

  33. I saw clips of this performance and it wasn’t very good.. to put it lightly. I’m all for people being who ever they want to be but I’m so sick of kids being subjected to all of this.

    • It was really disturbing to say the least. Thank you Belladonna for your support. Hugs and love xox

  34. The Grammy Awards ceremony. Partly sponsored by PFIZER. Perhaps it says a little about the company and the enormous profits it has made from a vaccine that appears to have little or no effect – except cause sickness in otherwise healthy people. Long term effects are an unknown!

  35. Wow. I almost never post on blogs and don’t follow pop culture, but I just started following you because I didn’t know about the grammys.
I became aware of the satanic temples being built a year or so ago, then found people selling stuff to worship Satan on etsy. God is telling us to wake up. We do need to push back. Put your armor of God on, because the war is here.

    • Hi Stacey! Oh my gosh thank you so much, I really appreciate your support. I know – there is some really terrifying stuff happening out there. Very sad. We need to wake up indeed. Hugs and love xox

  36. Settle down, now. Art can be beautiful, challenging or both. That last part takes work, not the strong suit of most Americans – especially when it requires independent thought. Once only a weakness amongst the poor, who had to choose between education and sustenance, it’s spread – in no small part by religion, whose strong suit is telling people what to think. So I can see where B3 and its followers would have a problem taking in art like this.
I know it’s not really my thing, so don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending it as a fan. But I understand the expression. The needed expression, because that’s what confronts bigotry and small mindedness, exposure to thought-provoking subject matter outside one’s normal experiences. And where better to have that experience than on a nationally televised program viewed with friends or family, where one should feel safest versus alone or in an anonymous setting?
Those who fear it call it grooming because it’s easier to slap a convenient label on something than to have to confront one’s own biases or privileges in order to have an open and honest conversation about things outside their comfort level or having to…never mind. I know I’m preaching to a deaf audience.
You stay there in your comfortable prison of human constructs like god, religion, heaven, hell and the devil…just keep it to yourself. The most successful grooming campaign of all time has got to be religion, followed at a distant but no less damaging GOP. Why don’t you point your values at them and police them before judging others on their hypocrisy based dogma?

    • While I understand why people are angry at religion and politicians, whataboutism is a cop out. It’s weak. Look at why people are upset instead of dismissing it out of hand. This is evil. Just as the hypocrisy of false religious teachers, and religious hypocrisy is evil.

And while I agree with you that some aspects of religion are human constructs, (I was raised Catholic, so I understand. Trust me.), the God we know is not. I pray for you, man. Crack open a Bible for yourself and ask a genuine, caring Christian any questions you might have. Jesus loves you, as do we. Take care 🙂

      • I was raised religious and educated in private Catholic schools, so I am a-okay for life on the bible cracking. When I tell Caralyn to police her own safe communities and leave others alone, I come by it honestly: the priest who sexually assaulted my classmates wasn’t prosecuted and sent to jail, he was retired from teaching and sent to work at the abbey…which is where he lived. This basically seemed to not only protect bad behavior but actually rewarded it. Fix that type of sh – stuff amongst yourselves and then you’ll have the credibility to…”judge” sure seems like the right word…but let’s say “impose your concerns” on others about how they live.

      • First off, I am genuinely sorry about the awful experiences your classmate went through. The sexual abuse scandal within the Catholic Church is the biggest reason I no longer consider myself a Catholic. I am so sorry, man.

But while we should fix all that’s wrong with our religious institutions, even after we do so, that won’t work for two reasons: one, no one has the right to judge except God. And two, even if we were perfect and allowed to judge others, as you say, the world would still buck against it. Why? The human heart is inherently evil.

As much as it sucks to say this, all people are evil. We are all depraved in some way. Have you seen the kinds of nasty things humanity does to each other? There’s not a moral or good person on the face of the earth. Not a one. Not me. Not you. Not Caralyn. Not one.

We live in a world that mirrors Isaiah 5:20 right now. To a tee. And God will indeed be the final judge for all of us. Believer and unbeliever alike But for those of us who Jesus has called, He not only calls us to live a life that pleases Him and to trust in His sacrifice on the cross for our salvation, He also calls us to expose evil.

There are many verses and passages on this. Ephesians 5:11-12 is probably the best one that fits the situation we’re in with the Unholy performance at the Grammys.

But here’s where many, if not most followers of Jesus mess up: They call out evil. But they don’t do it from a place of love or concern for others. And I would sooner side with you against someone who acts like that. Those who truly follow Jesus don’t call out evil because we want to be seen as “better” than others. We call out evil because we genuinely love other people and don’t want them to go to hell. So many fail to strike a firm but genuinely caring balance though. I’m working on that myself.

As for fixing the Catholic Church, how would you go about instituting change there from the position of an average person? I’m not putting you on the spot I swear. I’m honestly just asking for your take. Their hypocrisy makes me furious too, so I can only imagine how angry you are, since it’s affected you personally. Again, my sympathy and support to you and your classmate.

      • My take on fixing the Catholic Church is the same as my fix for any organization that treats people the way it does: I fix it with my absence. I won’t give a group or an individual even the tacit approval approval my presence could be misinterpreted as. The church? Hypocrisy, buh-bye. The GOP? It was one thing in the 80s before the “aisle” became a chasm and they completely abandoned any sense of a veil for their true selves. Now, if you’re a Republican, I demand an explanation…and it will not be satisfactory. Both institutions are playing a numbers game with their members, to the members’ detriment, to remain the abusively powerful entities they empower themselves to be. And I simply don’t accept it, nor do I indulge anyone’s arguments on their behalf.
I learned some great values from my education. But life has taught me about tolerance, too. I’ll tolerate a lot from individuals, but am not as generous with organizations. As I mentioned earlier, they’d prefer to do your thinking for you, that’s what works best for their agenda. People who have clear, independent thoughts are interesting to talk to and I value the exchange of ideas, experiences and values. People whose dominant personality trait is their religion seem more invested in telling me what their religion thinks of my actions. To that, my response is always, “Fuck you”. It’s not your nor anyone else’s role to save others on your religion’s behalf. That’s a misdirected savior complex at best and flat out recruitment and indoctrination at worst.

  39. The fact is mainstream media is losing its power, and the only way to get people talking about or sharing grammy, golden globes etc is shock value. The west has lost its way, and when one power goes down another one will rise. Sanity must be restored.
