Hello friends!
SNOW UPDATE: Since I posted on Tuesday about the blizzard we’re having in Park City, Utah (where 40″ of snow was predicted…) it hasn’t stopped snowing!
Since Tuesday at 3:00pm when it started snowing, we’ve gotten 30 INCHES of snow! And that was measured at 6am this morning, and it has continued to blizzard all day. They’re expecting another 10-12 inches today!
So it sounds like the weather forecasters were right on the money about this one!
It has been absolutely WILD! I went skiing yesterday in the 25″ of fresh powder, and it was absolutely insane! The snow was up to my thighs! It was the kind of skiing where if you fell, you would sink and get buried!
But anyways – today marks the 100 day-mark until Steven and I get married! Can you believe it?! One hundred days until “I DO!”
Steven and I were doing a little calendar synch-up “meeting” of sorts this morning, planning out the next few weeks, and this wedding is going to be here before we know it!
Here’s what we’ve still got left to do:
- Choose and send out the invitations — we have a final meeting with the woman designing them next week.
- Finalize the florals/reception aesthetic — we had our final meeting last month, but we’re changing it…lol
- Food tasting for the reception — that’s happening in two weeks
- Choosing a cake! — TBD
- Getting our “song lists” for the church and reception — happening Monday.
- Final dress fitting — May 20
And then alllllso…my BACHELORETTE PARTY!
Now, please don’t envision a raunchy party like they depict in movies. This is going to be tasteful and just good, old fashioned fun with my best friends.
I’m having 11 bridesmaids…have I mentioned that? Yep – so when I say, “party“…I mean it’s going to be a party!
We’re having it in Miami, and I couldn’t be more excited!
So yeah, lots is happening here in the next couple months! It’s hard to keep it all straight!
So anyways. Monday I will be back in Cincinnati, and back to my posts as usual.
Apparently, while we’ve been having this epic blizzard (which you can watch a video of it on my Instagram right now) — meanwhile Cincinnati has been having 74 degree temperatures! My oh my!

I’m excited for you guys! 100 days, that’s close! The photos are beautiful, I haven’t experienced a Michigan winter in ten years. I sincerely hope that all of this extra snow this winter will make it into the Colorado river to ease the drought down here. Have a safe flight home, guys! 😊
Do the have avalanche watches? You would think with that much snow they might in the really steep areas.
Enjoy the snow! 40 inches in a short time is almost too much. Happy preparation for your marriage in 100 days.

Caralyn, I love reading all your updates regarding the Sacred Day ahead! (In particular because it will be celebrated on my birthday. 😊 WHO knew it was only 100 days away, giggles!) I remember when you were praying to God for Him to reveal a beloved to you. Do you remember what I wrote back in my reply? That God was still perfecting him, that at an appointed time he would be made ready and God would indeed deliver him. 🥰 And look how perfect Stephen is for you!!!!!!! ….God is sooooo good, isn’t he?

My daughter was married last June. Her Gospel reading was the Wedding at Cana. In the Homily (our son Fr. David presided) he said that Mary was “looking out for the couple” and approached Jesus even before anyone asked for help. He gave them a painting of the Wedding at Cana.
