Merry Christmas to you, Mom, Dad, and entire family, as we all gather together in spirit, although miles apart, for this joyous season and celebration of the time our Saviour left the Glories of Heaven, to come to earth as a baby human, while still totally God. He came on our behalf, willingly, to pay a price we could not pay.

    I am writing this now, in case I am not up to it in the next week, since I never know what each day will bring health-wise.

    God’s Blessings to each of you, as you gather together, giving and receiving love.

    • You’ve got this, Natalie. Recovery is a journey with lots of ups and downs. The important thing is to give yourself grace and remain in a forward progression. Everyday. Doing something – no matter how small – to support your recovery efforts and beat Ed. Yes there will be temptations and slip ups but brush yourself off, and just do the next right thing. That was always the best mantra for my recovery: just do the next right thing. I believe in you!! Hugs and love xox

  15. This is one of the benefits of being single at Christmas. I don’t have to buy these gifts. However, the holidays are sort of lonely, so I tend to substitute food for companionship and I overeat. I went on Google Maps yesterday and found my late mom’s old Catholic church and school in Hartford. By the way, by coincidence The Carpenters Christmas song is on the radio while I am typing this message. Do you feel any special connection to their lovely music? Now that great Dan Fogelberg New Year’s Eve song is playing. Did you know the “secret woman” in the song revealed who she was a few years ago? She is on Facebook and is remarried now. I saw him live in Hampton, Virginia. He sounded amazing in person.
