That was a powerful article and it sums up the truth of this season for the church very well. God is preparing each one of us for something new.
Thank you so much for reading it! Amen to that! He is getting us ready for something big! We can be sure of that!! Hugs and love xox
I become more sure every day.
Same here. He is at work!

I just read the post and it is absolutely nice! Well done Caralyn!! π
Oh thank you so much Lohluh!! I appreciate you taking the time to read it! Big hugs to you xox
My church in CA uses that passage as our theme and mission statement. (John 15:1-8).
I think people would be surprised to know that even the best fruit bearing branches have to be trimmed. Otherwise they get fat and take nutrients from other healthy branches. Yes, God might remove the nasty influences like alcohol and toxic relationships, but He has also taken away good things like careers, good relationships, and even good health. Not because God hates us, but be removing successes, He makes us even more successful. Counterintuitive, but true. Just ask Joni Earickson Tada or Kathleen Wolf. π
And congratulations on your article!
Oh thatβs so awesome! Itβs a powerful verse for sure. How interesting. Youβre right – He removes that which impedes our growth! Hugs and love xox
If you are feeling extra impulsive Iβll take some random goodies too. Lol

Caralyn, after reading your post on pruning, I stopped and thought. Pruning occurs either in the Fall or Spring. The whole world was placed on pause and reset. Many things we took for granted were pruned. It is my belief that we will see many good things coming from the first quarantine of the world of sick and healthy people. God didn’t cause the pandemic but he is definitely going to use it for good.
Stay safe! Hugs and love! xoxo
Thank you so much for taking the time to read it! OH WOW what a realization!!! You’re right – He is definitely going to use it for good. That, I am sure of! what an incredible fact. stay well! Hugs and love xox
Okay are you ready for Texas to come to New York? LOL! The reason you prune is to get rid of all the diseased/broken branches, fungus and anything else the seasons have brought. The same way with shredding a pasture. You shred to get rid of all the say ragweed here, or Mesquite trees. Those trees have thorns on them 3 inches long. Then you plant like rye grass in the pasture and the cattle will then eat it, not having to go around all the other stuff, because there are things they eat and things they won’t.
Also pruning/shredding allows the water to soak into the ground giving the roots what they need, and during pollinating season the bees can get to everything easier without having to go through the fungus and the like. So that is the education part of it.
Now apply it to us, and the same thing happens. Our souls actually become able to receive all God has for them, as well as our lives. In other words, the bad stuff is gone, and God can begin to water and pollinate the good in us. When this happens just like in a plant or pasture, we are going to become actually a beautiful plant or pasture, having in it only that which is supposed to be there. God is not going to have to work through all the other stuff.
Kind of like weeding out a garden. Great post and love you more, God Bless, SR
Thank you SR for this awesome Texan comment!! So interesting. I am literally fascinated by this! Thank you for sharing that!! Love you friend! Hugs and love xox
