Awesome, my first is my only girl child followed by 4 boys. We share a special bond from day 1 and still today, 40 years later. I am so proud for y’all. Hugs and Love 🤗 & ❤️!!
Thank you so much HJ! oh wow, five beautiful children — that is so special! and yes! I bet she was a huge help in keeping those boys in line too 😉 heheh so special. That’s what my mom said too — she said a daughter is your best friend for life. i can’t wait 🙂 thanks for sharing in the joy with us! Hugs and love xox
When you first announced I said boy and it is always opposite of my gut feeling. So girl does not surprise me. I’m very happy and excited for you. Have two more and you can join my three girl club.
And of course name her Rachel like me. I was named after Rachel in the Bible whose husband has to work 21 years and was duped into marrying her sister Leah first. Again congratulations!!
Thank you so much Rachel!!! hahah — well we were right there with you, thinking it was a boy! hahah thank you so much! and wow! three girls!!! that’s so beautiful — that’s such a special bond they’ll share for their entire lives! I do love the name Rachel! I’d love our daughter to have a “namesake” to look up to in the Bible!! Hugs and love xox
and heyyyy I like those! When I was younger, I was in the Christmas Spectacular at Music Hall, and I played Virginia, in “Yes, Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus” — so I’ve always had a soft spot for that name 🙂 heheh
Thank you so much John! yes!! God IS awesome. We have just felt His hand, carrying us through this entire pregnancy journey, and we know that our daughter is safe in His hands right now too!! and haha thanks! It’s actually my parents old car that they sold to us for a great deal! we’re extreeeeemely grateful for it!!! Nothing wrong with a Honda Fit! But with a baby on board, we wanted a little more protection around her! 🙂 so glad you stopped by! Hugs and love xox
I see, it’s a beautiful car. I’m glad that you are thinking about car safety! The bigger the better of course. I just sold my 2015 pickup truck and bought a 2023 Buick Envision, great car!
Hi PK!! Grace is definitely one of our Top Three Contenders!!! I love that name so much, especially since God’s Grace is the most beautiful gift in the world! thanks for sharing that! Hugs and love xox
Caraven! or Stevalyn! Ha! Seriously, look at the meaning of baby names as you ponder that important decision. Our daughter Elizabeth is a miracle baby; we chose her name from the Bible since Elizabeth, the wife of Zecharias, was a godly woman (entrusted by God to be the mother of John the Baptist). Elizabeth means “consecrated by oath to God” or “God’s promise.” I’m sure you’ll choose a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning as God places her in your home!
hahhahahahah oh my gosh that is too funny!!!! you know something wild…we were FaceTiming one of Steven’s cousins last night, and HE HAD THE SAME SUGGESTIONS: Caraven or Stevalyn! hahahahahah what are the odds! But you’re so right: a name is a powerful thing. Especially for a child to have a “namesake” to look up to in the Bible. I love the name Elizabeth by the way! so beautiful! Hugs and love xox
Well I stand corrected! Really thought the wee one was a BOY! So happy for you both ❤️She will be LOVED AND CHERISHED! And there is my name suggestion “Cherish” – whatever you choose will be very meaningful I am sure 💯. Can I suggest a nickname? Here it is “Cincy” after your beloved Cincinnati! I googled and it said “Cincinnati has many nicknames, including Cincy, The Queen City, The Queen of the West.” I figure since she’s going to be the boss (🤣) of her little brothers some day you might as well hand her, her title at birth too! Happy nesting, Mama 😁
Thank you Laura! haha you’re in good company there! Pretty much EVERYONE in our lives thought it was a boy too!!! amen — loved and cherished!! ooooh — Cherish, what a unique and beautiful name!! and hahah Cincy!!! i love it!!! yes — the Queen City for sure…you might be onto something there! thank you!! 🙂 Hugs and love xox
I left the comment on the video, but my suggestion is Victoria Grace, as God is Victorious against our adversities and blesses us with His healing Grace.
Thank you Lisa!! Yes! I have that written down to share with Steven! I love that — especially Grace, because: hey: that’s why we’re all here!! Through God’s Grace! thank you again for watching and for being on this joyful and exciting journey with us! Hugs and love xox
Oooh, that IS unique, and beautiful!!! It sounds so melodic too. With my music background, I love a harmonious — even musical sounding — name. My mom chose my name – Caralyn – because she thought the same thing — it sounded melodic. thanks for stopping by! Hugs and love xox
Hi Hilary!! Those are such great names — we love a Biblical name too. We’re especially looking for her middle name to be Biblical. There’s something about the child having a “namesake” to look up to in the Bible that is powerful. steven’s middle name is Anthony, and he has a particular love for St. Anthony 🙂 thanks for sharing in the joy wiht us! Hugs and love xox
Anthony is a really nice name!Rebecca’s middle name is Christine which isn’t biblical but and Aaron’s middle name is biblical. His middle name is Malachi, the 12th prophet. The name Malachi means “messenger.” 🙂
Thank you Kenneth!!! 🙂 we actually had a riff on my name picked out for a boy! But we have NO IDEA for a girl!! hahaha there’s one contender, but it’s just an idea 🙂 hehe i like your thought!! My middle name is Christine, so 😉
thank you so much!!! She-Baby-Berbs hahah love it!! And those names are beautiful!!! My sister in law is Elizabeth, and I think it’s such a melodic name that almost sounds like music!! Hugs and love xox
A big congratulations!! 🎉 I was “Team Girl” only because your nephew (I think) thought it was a girl, and young children always seem to know. 😉 She is already so very loved!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the task of naming your child, think about the “genre” you like: biblical names, family names, cultural, old timey names, one-of-a-kind names, etc. Then narrow down: character length (long vs short), associated nicknames, and whether you like others you’ve met with the name. Have fun with it!! ❤️
Thank you so much my friend!!! isn’t that WILD how both of the little boys knew?!? I think you’re right – I think they have a special awareness about those things! that’s a great tip — thank you so much! 🙂 Hugs and love xox
Congratulations to you both, We were convinced our second was a boy and had boys names picked out ready. When a girl popped out we weren’t at all prepared with a name for her. We both looked at her and decided that “Charlotte” suited her and that was that..easy🤣
thank you so much!! another beautiful surprise for you guys!! I love the name Charlotte — it’s so melodic and elegant!!! great choice! 🙂 Hugs and love xox
I’m SO happy for you! This is such a special time. I’m glad you’re soaking it in. It really is a season you’ll remember and hold happily for years to come!
What a blessed adventure the Lord gives us in parenting! I promise you’ll learn more about Him as Father as you go along, too. So much joy lies in wait for all three of you! ❤
So very happy for you, after all you’ve been through! We had 3 daughters, never got to use our boy name, but now we have 5 grandsons, so learning the boy vibe as grandparents. What great gifts (and surprises) that God has for us, right? How about Regina for baby’s name? Associated with the Blessed Mother! You could call her Gina for short.
What a bunch of great name ideas! You guys have my congratulations from the heart! And as a mother of 2 girls, I’d choose Rachel or Kirsten again! Rachel is of course Hebrew & in the Bible: ewe or female sheep and Kirsten: Scandinavian version of Christina meaning Follower of Christ. Looking forward to more updates!
For names, I recommend you stick with biblical names like one of Solomon’s daughters, Bas-emath, or maybe one of the daughters of Zelophehad. He had five beautiful daughters in Numbers 26: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.😂
Seriously, though, I don’t like suggesting baby names to people, because the name of one’s child should be something meaningful to the two of you, and a name I like wouldn’t have the same meaning to you.
Shalimar. I don’t know why. It just came to me. I looked it up afterwards and it means abode of light or beautiful light. I figure she will be the light of your world and a blessing of God’s grace for this world also. So it fits. God bless her and you guys no matter what name you choose ❤
You and Steven have been blessed! So many beautiful Catholic names to choose from. I have a few ideas…
Hannah / Anna – grace
Gianna – the Lord is gracious
Isabel – pledged to God
Ava / Eva – life
Maria
Congratulations! My first two are girls and I loved being a girl mom. (I also love being a boy mom – I just love being a mom and you will, too 🙂 )
Anyway, a word of caution – set a budget for little girl clothes and stick to it. Make a blood oath, hire a friend to handcuff you to the shopping cart – whatever it takes. There are innumerable places with THE most adorable little girl clothes on display that you immediately feel like you can’t live without. But that way lies bankruptcy. And for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT even set foot in Justice if there are any limits on what you should be spending on clothes. Just a word of friendly advice. 🙂
Names! Lots of beautiful options – Genevieve (call her Jen), Rachel, Hannah, Lucy, Miriam, Maaryam, Chandra, Shauna, Adrienne. You could name her something like Benedict (call her Bennie). Leslie, Violet … just like with clothes, I feel like there’s a million more options for girls than boys. 😀
I’m so excited for you both! I love the name Mary, not just because it’s my name. 😉 I’ve noticed from being around my grandkids that no little girls are named Mary, which makes me sad. Good luck deciding on a name! That is always the hardest part. I loved your video! 💕💕💕
Congratulations to the both of you!!! It’s like I’m reliving I and my wife’s first pregnancy all over again. Our first child was a girl too. Thanks for sharing.
When my first was born, I chose a name that might look good on the spine of a book. When the second was due, I asked the eldest to choose a boy’s name for a middle one (I had already chosen Elisabeth Dawn)…thankfully, he chose Scott. Rather relieved, I said that was great. And the second child was a boy and Jonathan Scott. I was thankful for Scott because the kid had just named some kittens….Peanut Butter, Orange Juice, and Milo.
Congratulations on a beautiful baby girl! Somehow I knew it would be a girl. I don’t know why, but I did.
As far as names are concerned, my favorites are Emily, Margaret (means pearl) and Rose or Rosemary. I also love biblical names, especially Abigail (means a joy to the Father), Faith, Deborah (both a prophetess and a judge in the Old Testament), Elizabeth (means My God is abundance), and Sarah (means princess).
Awesome, my first is my only girl child followed by 4 boys. We share a special bond from day 1 and still today, 40 years later. I am so proud for y’all. Hugs and Love 🤗 & ❤️!!
