Hello friends! How is everyone!? How was your Thanksgiving!?
I am just absolutely loving the Ohio way of life! This morning I went running and I was surrounded by gorgeous trees and birds singing and a babbling brook — it was so picturesque.

So far, my parents and I have watched 3 Hallmark movies, decorated the house for Christmas, went to the Christmas kickoff weekend on the little Main Street by their home, and have had a couple play dates with my little nephews!

So it has been just a beautiful time home.
TODAY STEVEN ARRIVES FROM NYC!
I’m actually just about to go pick him up from the airport and then we’re going to our final walk through for our condo downtown! And then closing tomorrow!!!
Between you and me…I have a surprise for Steven tonight.
Yesterday, my mom and I made Filipino Sinigang soup to have for dinner tonight. We wanted to have something special to welcome him to Cincinnati, and have a little piece of home here for him. So I’m really excited to surprise him with that tonight. I made the traditional pork version for him and my parents, and a seafood version for myself. (Recipe here!)

I was cutting apart a 2 pound rack of pork ribs yesterday for the recipe — mom was like, “Is this my daughter!?” haha

But they had a little sneak peak taste test of the soup yesterday and my parents loved it!
I just can’t believe this is all coming together. I am so grateful.
This weekend, we’re having our big family Thanksgiving dinner! We did it a week late this year so that we could include Steven in it, now that he’s here! So I’m super excited for that as well.
Thank you again for your patience with me as I navigate this crazy busy period of my life! Come Thursday after we officially move in tomorrow, I will be back to “posting topics as usual.”
I hope you all have a blessed Monday! It’s going to be a great week! And happy Advent!
OK – off to pick up my man at the airport and see our place before it’s officially OUR PLACE!
Hugs,
Caralyn

Roast pig “Lechon Baboy” in the Philippines. There are countless signs advertising it in Manila so it seems you continue that heritage.
