Merry Christmas my dear friends!

Just a quick post tonight. I’m currently snuggled up on the couch with my sweet little rosy cheeked niece, and we’re watching what else… a Hallmark movie 🙂

But I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. One that is full of special moments with loved ones, gut busting laughter, meaningful conversation, and peace that comes from Jesus, born this day.

And as we celebrate the Baby in the manger, may we not forget the reason He came to earth this holy night: He came to embrace the Cross. To give His life in sacrifice, out of an unimaginable love for you and me.

A love that not only is shown in the precious wounds on His hands and feet, but also communicated through His very name: Emmanuel, meaning “God with us.”

A thrill of hope – that God would come to earth in order to just be with us. And give His life so we could be with Him forever.

It turns out that the Nativity story is not just a Christmas miracle, but actually the greatest love story of all.

And take it from this Hallmark movie aficionado…I know a good one when I see it.

But in all seriousness. Merry Christmas, my dear friends. Sending you all the love in the world.

  22. God Bless you continually Caralyn, and I know He will, as you always bring the Truth of His Love in your posts. The Love of God is shown in Jesus. And as you proclaim so clearly, the real purpose of the Christ coming to earth from the Glories of Heaven, was to make His way to Calvary, and the cross. He did that so willingly, for each of us.
    But HALLELUJAH, there was Victory when Jesus walked out of that tomb.
    Without the cross, there was no need for the manger, because the purpose in the incarceration was the death, burial, resurrection of our Lord. And He is coming again, Double HALLELUJAH!!

    Merry Christmas Caralyn, and a Merry Christmas to your Mom and Dad. And may each of you experience a God directed and blessed 2019.
