Hello friends!
I hope everyone had a healthy and merry Christmas!
I have been travelling all day today, back to New York City, after spending a wonderful holiday in Ohio.
And tonight, I wanted to pass along an incredible video that I watched on Christmas.
For a number of reasons, my family went to virtual Mass for Christmas, and so we watched Fr. Mike Schmitz on YouTube…who Steven and I watch every weekend.
And let me tell you…this was the best sermon I have ever heard. I literally sent it to everyone I know.
It just hit home, you know what I mean? With such a powerful, personal message that I wanted everyone in my life to know.
So, I want to pass it along to you. I’m attaching the video below, all queued up to the exact time of his homily, and I promise it is worth the watch. He’s an incredible orator, and very faithful man of God.
So with that, I hope you are having a meaningful and beautiful Christmas season. The holidays can be tough for a lot of reasons, particularly this year with the explosion of Covid, and I just pray that where ever you are, you know that you are loved, and are a precious child of the most patient, loving and merciful father.
God bless, and I’ll see you Wednesday for another recipe!

I’m glad that you are home safe, Caralyn, be well! ☺️
I had not listened to a homily in about 4 years but I listened to this one in its entirety. Very good thanks so much for sharing! If you find other good ones I’d love to hear about them!
I loved hie enthusiasm 😊
A beautiful post thank you so much
Thank you so much. Not just a beautiful message but one that really touched home with my life. Now here is some advice on walking from another generation. Unless you are walking in New York try going for walks without a cell phone. It’s amazing that the world can hold together for half an hour with us!
Thanks Caralyn – what good and true words he spoke!
I pray peace and favor upon you and your family this Christmas season and into the New Year. I enjoyed all your posts. God bless 🙌 you.
Thank you for this message share. It was so incredibly encouraging and enriching to my soul.
Won’t have time this week to listen to the homily, but will mark it to tune in next week.
❤️&🙏, c.a.
Yes, he is dynamic! I love his spirit and enthusiasm! Thank you for sharing this with us!
I’m glad you have a great Christmas. Hugs.
I’m glad to hear you were able to be with your family for Christmas, but please know that the Sunday obligation is back in action in Ohio and New York. You are vaccinated and boosted, it’s time to go back to in person Mass. Holy Water is blessed by a priest and part of the prayer is protection against sicknesses. I have a hard time believing that God would allow covid to spread through Holy Water/attending His Holy Mass. My sister has an autoimmune disease and is immunocompromised, and she’s been going to in person Mass since it came back in May of 2020. She’s unvaccinated and doesn’t wear a mask and she’s been fine. Don’t let fear control your life, God will keep you safe!
