Royal Wedding

Well, it’s Wednesday morning, and I’m just sitting in the terminal at JFK waiting to fly home to Ohio. I’m only going to be there for 48 hours…I booked a job, and the photo shoot is tomorrow!

So that’s exciting.

And since you all know my intimate travel secrets, I feel like you have a pretty good mental image of my current state!

So, in case you’re living under a rock, the royal wedding is this weekend. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. And I joke about living under a rock, but truthfully I had no idea it was this week until just yesterday. Haha

But people are obsessed with the Royal wedding. And rightfully so. I mean you’ve got an American television “star” marrying the ginger “bad boy” prince. Definitely headline news – “The New American Princess.” But gosh, you can’t pass a checkout line at the grocery store without seeing their faces on every magazine cover. Oh well, at least it’s giving us a break from the Kardashians.

But it’s funny because I feel like, just in the last 3 years or so, “princesses” have come under attack.

The Belles and Cinderellas of yore are now seen as antiquated, anti-feminist figures of yesterday that “glorify” tired and backwards storylines of women needing rescuing, or giving everything up for the man of her dreams.

And no surprise here, the current rejection of classic Disney makes me throw up a little in my mouth. Princesses aren’t bad for little girls! Heck. Would you rather your daughter look up to Belle? Or say, Kylie Jenner? There’s no competition.

But it’s an interesting phenomenon, this royal wedding. Especially the women – people are living for it. I have friends who are legit throwing viewing parties at 5:00 am on Saturday morning so they can watch it live.

Five o’clock in the morning!

But I think the reason we’re all so captivated by this wedding, is because, at least for us women, whether we like to admit it or not, there’s a small part in our heart that longs to be a princess. Some more than others. Clearly. But there’s a deep, inherent desire to be fought for, and chosen, and delighted in for our honor and beauty.

And that’s not wrong.

In fact, I believe that desire – that inherent nature – was placed in us by God.

Because as daughters of God – we are, by our birth, princesses. (And men, princes.)

But we watch as Meghan Markle wears the most exquisite wedding gown with the white gloves and veil, and the long train. It is magnificent. And the world holds its breath as her prince kisses her hand and promises to love and honor her forever.

It’s how every little girl dreams of being loved.

She dreams of being fought for. Being protected. Being one-of-a-kind.

But along the way, we lose that wonder. We feel undeserving of such splendor and celebration. We’ve messed up, failed, fallen short, compromised on so many things. We feel we no longer deserve that royal treatment.

But the fact is, that is what God wants for us. When He sees us, He doesn’t see our mistakes or failures. He sees a precious daughter that deserved to be celebrated in splendor – just like Meghan Markle.

Shop this look!

I think it’s so important not to lose that idealistic and romantic longing in our heart. Sure, it’s important to be realistic. No man is Prince Charming, and in the world of Bumble, romance can seem all but dead.

But in a world where women fiercely compete to dominate the top spots on the corporate ladder, I think it’s important to never let that sacred spot in our hearts that knows we’re the King’s daughter become bogged down in the rat race. Obviously there’s nothing wrong with being a boss and having a kick-butt job – that’s also to be celebrated. But there’s a light and a hope that we – especially us women – carry with us when we live from the truth that we deserve that honor and royal dignity.

Because with it comes a responsibility. What is it about the royal princesses? I mean look at Kate – she carries herself with an inherent joy and regal presence. She gives of her time. Serves the people.

She knows that, from her position, she has the responsibility to share the blessings she has received from her relation to the King.

So to with us. As His sons and daughters, we are the earthly extension of our loving and gracious Father in Heaven. And everything we do – the things we say, the ways in which we treat others and how we act – they’re a direct reflection of Whose we are.

So Saturday, as we sip tea and eat crumpets before the sun rises, cheering on the new American princess, I invite you to just remember that you and I are just as worthy and deserving of the pomp and circumstance. To a heavenly degree.

Just as we are. He takes us. He claims us. He fought for us and rescued us.

We’re living the fairy tale and we don’t even know it.

  1. Sorry to burst your bubble, she isn’t a princess 🙈 I think she might become a duchess but that’s about it 😂 their children won’t even be princes or princesses. People are making such a fuss about her being American I mean who cares if she’s American it isn’t a big deal! Also, she might be given up her American citizenship 🙈 this feels like a rant I am so sorry haha

    • Oh gosh, well…oops! Still pretty close though! hahah i definitely didn’t take it as a rant 🙂 love the passion! thanks Benny! Hugs and love xox

      • I’m such a royalist 😊 I’m constantly updated with what’s happening with the royal family, but I must admit I’m not keen on the wedding (Then I wasn’t keen on Charles & Camilla but I came around) and all this hype is over Henry and Rachel is a bit OTT 😂

      • Aww what a kind thing to say. Thanks Benny. You’re the best xox

    • Thank you Scott. Yeah, I think your daughters will be in for a treat! Hugs and love xox

  2. I wasn’t invited to the royal wedding so I haven’t given it much consideration. Spot on about God’s love for His bride, the church. Also, the moniker you used (the ginger “bad boy”) for Harry is delightful.

    • hahah yeah, i think my invitation got lost in the mail too 😉 thanks friend!! Hugs and love xox

  3. Love this. And I love the book The Nightingale!!! It was my favorite novel until I read another novel of Kristin Hannah’s titled Winter Garden. I almost couldn’t believe it when I found a novel that holds up against The Nightingale–they’re both THAT GOOD. I’m super excited to learn that a movie is coming out soon!!

    • thank you so much! Oh that’s awesome! I put it on my list to listen to next! (I don’t like to read but I LOVE to listen.) Yeah same ! I want to read it before i watch the movie! so glad you enjoyed it! Hugs and love xox

  4. The day I get up at five in the morning to watch anyone on television get married is the day I have gone insane and lost my mind! LOL! So if I ever write about such a thing, come to Texas and please put me away! 🙂

I love the way you associated it all with God and who we are to Him. The Bible says, (not direct quote) but God crowns us with a golden crown. That God would humble Himself and love me enough to do that, just absolutely takes my breath away. Jesus wore a Crown of Thorns so we could wear one made of gold. Great post and be safe traveling. Love to you always. God Bless, SR

    • hahahah that’s hysterical. Yeah I’m with you! I’ll record it and watch it at a more civilized hour hahah Yes! His love is truly breath taking. What a King we have 🙂 thanks SR, hope you’re having a good day! Hugs and love xox

  5. I totally agree that God sees all of his daughters as precious. Enjoyed the post but I won’t be watching the wedding because I like sleep 🙂

  6. So many people wish the Monarchy would dissolve. I respect it. I have respected Queen Elizabeth for as long as I can remember. I remember her Silver Jubilee in the late 1970s. I remember how she handled herself when, horseback, somebody actually tried to assassinate her (they were nowhere near close). I remember the summer after my 6th Grade Year getting up for Charles and Diana. There’s a woman I always respected too. While I felt bad at how The Monarchy initially reacted at her death, I think it made them re-examine themselves. Queen Elizabeth came back in such a brighter light after that, especially when everybody watched her on world television, come out and embrace that one child with the flower. It was a sad day when The Queen Mother passed back aways. It will be sad when Elizabeth does. I hope this wedding is as beautiful as William and Kates. I respect other monarchies out there like Spain, and wherever else. You are right about God and daughters. They are precious in His eyes You certainly are and have become more glorious in your personal triumph’s than any princess fictional or factual!. Love and hugs always! I am sure you will have a gorgeous photo shoot! xoxoxoxoxo

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this Migueltio. Admittedly, I do not know very much about the royal family or the monarchy so this was really insightful. thanks for sharing! Hugs and love xox

      • Call me a watcher of the morning programs. They’re the ones, especially The Today Show., that really “get into the ups and downs of The British Monarchy”. Probably the biggest factor on the side of those who debate “against” its continued existence? Its cost. Its costs England some ridiculous amount to maintain it, given that its only a figurehead institution. I watched Charles and Diana’s Wedding. I was up for Andrew and Sarah Ferguson “Fergie”‘s but couldn’t watch it because I had summer music classes to go to. William and Kate’s was on a work day, and I actually couldn’t watch Harry and Meghan’s because I had to drive my daughter to orchestra. Plus we get one Canadian station on our cable and they cover them alot being that Canada is still a “tradtional” dominion of England. Its nice to see traditional things kept if they can be. More hugs and love to you beautiful! xoxoxoxo

      • Oh wow yeah that’s something i didn’t consider was the cost! Hope you’re having a great night! Gg

  7. As God’s precious daughter, you are already a princess. That’s the beauty of faith — no need to marry into royalty. Got it!

    • Thanks Tim! That’s such a beautiful thing to say. And yes! God is a good good father! Hugs and love xox

  8. Yeah, I didn’t really know either. I keep seeing headlines as I scan the London Daily Mail online, but figure I’ve got better things to do. The stories I’ve seen with the antics of the bride’s family has me expecting to see a picture of the trailer home where she grew up.

We’ve exchanged comments before about Wild at Heart and those “hard-wired” tendencies. However, not all guys are princes. I, for one, am a King. But I digress.

Maybe we focus too hard on the dresses and trappings. There’s too far to fall when times get hard, as have happened for Julie and I. We still love, but not always because we feel like it. We keep going because we promised before God. Not everyone understands promises anymore.

Google the poem “Delight in Disorder.” I read that in an English class my freshman year of college and thought it was perfect. Sometimes slightly awry is better than too perfect. And if you’ve never read the “Upon the King” speech from Shakespeare’s Henry V, give that a look too. It’s Henry’s lament at the weight of being king. Royalty is not always as grand as it seems.

Guys still want to be the hero. Girls still want to be rescued. I’m all for both of those! Just maybe without the gilded carriages!

And so true; we are God’s princes and princesses. After all, aren’t we the adopted siblings of The Prince of Peace?

Thanks for a fun article tonight, Caralyn. Always a pleasure!

    • Hahha you ARE a kind Jeff that is for dang sure!! I think you’re so right though. And these days most women want a wedding…not a marriage. I definitely want a hero guy! And I’ll look up that poem. Sounds interesting! Thanks Jeff for this thought provoking response as per usu:) yes! Yes! Adopted sibs 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  9. My oldest liked Snow White and then switched to Spiderman. My youngest liked Belle when we went to Disneyland I let her be a Princess at Bippity Boppity Boop. The cowboys serenaded her with violins. 😂👌

Agreed. These long fairytales are hard to stand against the pro-everything atmosphere. They aren’t supposed to, they reach children when their worlds are still perfect. It would be a bit like tying your childhood to your future. Love itself, might be a fantasy it should be forever changing and constant. Astra inclinant, sed non obligant.

      • Life is serious. Love. What all this points to, is not so serious.

“Entre deux coeurs qui s’aiment, nul besoin de paroles.” (Marceline Desbordes-Valmore)

Two hearts in love need no words. The heart knows the way. We find the stories that frame us. I’ve not yet found mine. Tristan & Isolde maybe.

      • You’re beautiful. I don’t say it often. I’ll tell you again. Next year. When you might forget.

      • Within the prince/princess social system. As the fairytales do/did add to our society. We would have never met. I. Neither prince nor princess. I think, that may have been the larger conflict of mine growing up. I came from a culture already. When school came. We had the etiquette of fairytales. People then adopted their chosen roles and, I just looked on. Princes, fought like reality stars. Slap fights. There was no gradual grooming for the men. Even at Disneyland there is that unevenness to it. We can see and appreciate the princess spectacle but, what of this prince? Some guy in tights and shoulder pads? Does only clothes represent the values in the story? In reality, those that dress better are recognized as higher value and those that are beautiful more intelligent. The ruts in our emulation of what is masculine and the feminine counterpart are hardliners in royalty.

      • The lack of princes in this day only comes from the lack of teachers, lack of students. What kills me, the guy in booty shorts at the gym with a popular war quote on Instagram. Culture absorbs but does not try to understand.

      • Hey hey hey come on now Kenzie. I hope that’s a joke

      • We reflect what we see. Could that be, why we see things differently. Manhattan. Ohio. Are quite insulated in that as long as you can afford them to be. Affording, that insulation comes the assured sense of shared values. Experiences. Expectations. The bachelor was surely not written for me. 😳😉

  10. The royal family is also Canada’s royal family. He met her here in Toronto. We have a different take on the event. The Kitchener Public Library is opening early and serving tea and scones and has brought in extra TV scenes for their patrons to watch the event. God save the Queen!

    • How interesting! Thanks for sharing that!! And how fun 🙂 hope you have fun! Hugs and love xox

  11. Excellent points. I am one who is far from perfect but I work toward this goal every day, knowing I can’t obtain it. Princes and Princesses are’t even perfect in the fairytales but their stories do provide some escape of reality to at least dream and pursue finer things in life. We, as God’s children, do have royalty in our veins and there is nothing greater – and it isn’t a fairytale. Also, I like Audible too and enjoy learning on the road.

    • Thanks 🙂 you’re right – we’re all works in progress! And yay audible! I’m a huge fan! Hugs and love xox

  12. Ugh . Who cares ? Weddings are meaningless these days. People don’t take the wedding vows seriously. Which is partly due to the feminist ideology you mentioned.

    • Yeah I wish people would take it more seriously for sure. Til death! Hugs and love xox

  13. You are so adorable! Haha. I love your posts cuz I could really get a feel for your ♥ when I read them. Much love and blessings!

  14. I LOVE this! There’s a huge part of me that is sad for Meghan because of all of the criticism and doubt that is around her. It’s her wedding day and she deserves to be happy. I hope that her day isn’t ruined by the pressure of marrying Harry.

I will always think of Perks of Being a Wallflower – “We accept the love we think we deserve.” We all deserve the best kind of love.

    • Aw thank you Hayley!! Yeah I hope that she has a beautiful day and that the drama doesn’t overshadow that Joy. I’ve actually never seen that movie!! Hugs and love xox

    • Agree, it’s become such a pressure for her, the family drama, the media outlets folllowing her, digging into her past, as well as relationships, even at times her race. I mean weddings can cause drama, but too have it plastered for everyone to see, plus everyone writing books about what they think they know about you. I mean can they give her a break and just enjoy her wedding preparations and day! May God bless them!

  15. “The things we say, the ways in which we treat others and how we act – they’re a direct reflection of Whose we are.” This reminds me of when Jesus calls out the pharisees in the bible– He calls them children of satan! Sadly, there are many who do not know Christ– and are not His children (read more about that notion in John 1:9-13).
All said and done, this resonated with me, deeply. Thank you again for another beautiful post, reminding me of who I am (and WHOSE I am).

    • Thanks so much Annalee for this powerful response. Amen – we are daughters of the king. So glad it resonated with you 🙂 big big hugs xox

  16. Yes. Just yes to all of this post. I didn’t know the wedding was this weekend until yesterday either. And I’ve heard so much from guys lately about being attacked by women about equality when they opened a door for them that they don’t know if they should anymore or not. I make a point to smile brightly and say “Thank you” to any man who does. Because I like being treated like a princess, and even believing in equality, hey, a human did something nice for another human. That’s always something to be celebrated and grateful for.

    • Aw thank you so much L!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. Yeah it snuck up on us! Oh boy, I know! Women need to create an environment where men aren’t afraid to be chivalrous for fear of a lawsuit! haha me too – bring on the princes!! Hugs and love xox

    • Agree, but some men are confused, because most women get upset when a men try to hold a door open for them, carry heavy things for them, etc. honestly most men want to honor chivalry and treating women like princesses, but when they do, the reciprocal is “no”. Sheesh! Even I would be confused.

  17. Agreed! We ARE princesses by nature! And we do love to be treated as such! There’s no getting around that – we love to be treated as princesses by our princes! Great post – I agree with it completely!

    • Amen to that Joy!! Thanks for stopping by! So glad you agree! Hugs and love xox

  18. As always Caralyn, you have such a special Holy Spirit gifting to take events to life, news items, and bring Scripture, God, Salvation into the writing. And you do it in a very genuine, loving, heartfelt way, explaining your thoughts and beliefs, not pushing anything onto anyone else,
I agree with you totally, as you refer to Believers in, and followers of Jesus Christ being Royalty. By His Spirit, Father God continually calls His best creation, men and women, to Himself through the Sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ.
As soon as we respond positively, acknowledging Jesus as Christ and Lord, surrendering to Him, we are instantly adopted as sons and daughters of the King of kings. He did it all, we just receive. That shows the Love of God completely.
Then, as it gets better, we look forward to the 2nd coming of the Messiah, Jesus the Christ, when He comes for, and takes all His followers Home to Heaven, there will be the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Oh, what a Glorious time that will be, First, seeing Jesus, face to face. Then meeting family and friends who passed away earlier, who know Christ personally, meeting others from all over the world and through the centuries, followed by a special banquet.
Sorry for the run-on Caralyn, I get excited and the thoughts keep flowing.

    Good night, God Bless,
    Luv, 😀❤️🌹

  19. Excellent as always! I’m with you. I didn’t know it was this weekend. Had heard about it, but thought the engagement had to be longer. You touched all kinds of chords with this one. Great connection to being a child of the King. And it’s nice to know some ladies want to be treated like princesses. It’s hard to be a knight in shining armor without one. Congrats on the shoot. Camera will love you as always. Blessings to you!

  20. Well put! And just one reason while I still love fairy tales (though I can still live with not seeing the Royal Wedding live!!!)

    • Thank you so much! I’m with you – love the fairytales! Hugs and love xox

  21. Excellent! I’m with you. Didn’t know it was this weekend. Thought the engagement had to be longer. Great connection to being a child of the King. And nice to know there are still ladies out there who want to be treated like the princesses they are. Hard to be a knight in shining armor without them. Congrats on the shoot. I’m sure the camera will love you as always. Blessings to you!

  22. Wow, another of your explosive “Truth News’ bombs. I think I’ve heard enough about fake news so I’m tuning in to your channel now. When God created Adam and Eve there was no need for the protector and protected mentality, so in accepting a foolish push for artificial equality is missing the point entirely. God looked down on a perfect created environment in Eden without threat anywhere on a perfect couple separate in function but equal in His eyes. Whether society chooses to classify men and women differently or not I fall in behind God’s viewpoint. If he sees men and women as separate but equal then lets leave it at that and not define equality our way. On the cross He gave his life for humans who want to continue their journey in heaven. No distinctions there in gender, race or whatever. However our sincerity in wanting an eternity with Him in a better place will be demonstrated in the lifestyle we choose down here. I think men’s libbers and women’s libbers are on shaky ground there, but then they probably don’t care if their political pressure creates more disfunction in an already disfunctional society. :).

    • Haha thank you so much Ian. Ah yes, we’ve got to get back to the Garden 🙂 thanks for this insightful response! Hugs and love xox

  23. 🙌🏼🙏🏼 Thank you for this post, what a beautiful reminder. And we are just as worthy, Crown as Queens and Kings by our Heavenly Father!

  24. Yes! Which girl doesn’t dream of a “Cinderella” story / ending? We are programmed for God and God delights in love and romance, joy and celebrations. Every girl is God’s princess and every boy is God’s prince , that’s How He views us all, that’s how we will be treated when we meet up with HIM. Carry on princesses and princes, the world needs cinderella endings amidst all this turmoil and confusion.

    • Thanks! I know – it is every girl’s dream!! (And quite frankly still mine! Haha) amen!! Hugs and love xox

  25. Unpopular opinion time – I really don’t get the obsession over this wedding. Honestly I’m in England and many of us are quite frankly bored of it. It’s on tv it’s in the papers it’s online. YAWN. Roll on the following weekend when we’ve got a Bank Holiday now time off is something I’m excited about. FYI we don’t have a King at the moment Prince Phillip isn’t King he’s just married to the Queen. Charles cannot wait to get his bony bum on the throne then we’ll have a King unless he pops his clogs before Liz and then it’s William’s turn. Good luck with your job and travels though!

  26. What a lovely post! I’m the same about princesses, there is nothing wrong with them! They are not anti-feminist, they’re celebrated in our house! We have two little girls and we try and encourage not only kindness and love but a deep knowledge that they are special and worthy and loved by God even more than by us. We need more thinking like this in the world! So here’s to Meghan….. And to princesses everywhere! Put on your heavenly tiaras and be proud!
Thank you for writing this. 😊👑 Xx

    • Thank you so much! Haha I love that – yes! Let’s put on those heavenly tiaras! Hugs and love xox

  27. This is so true! Recently I have been question my worth and if I deserve the best because it seems like I’m missing out on life because I’m still single and long to be married yet there are no prospects on the horizon. I still feel like my idea of love is too idealistic and want something of my own type of fairy tale. God still reminds me that I’m worthy of love by reading things like this. Thanks for sharing the truth! <3

    • Aw thank you so much! I can definitely relate. And we are SO worthy!! Sending big hugs xox

  28. We have been obsessed here as well- I think we are just pleased to have some happy news! My 9-year-old daughter is loving that a mixed race American girl is being welcomed into the Royal Family. She keeps asking me if she looks like Meghan! Hope to proves to be a good role model.

    • Thanks Anne! Yes! Happy news – hallelujah! Haha I hope so too! Hugs and love xox

  29. As an american, it’s hard to not be fascinated by the royal family. My mom watched Charles and Diana’s wedding on TV. I watched parts of William and Kate’s wedding. As much as I admire Harry and Megan, I don’t plan on watching it on Saturday. I’ll catch up online. However, I love the spin you put on it! We are all perfect in God’s eyes – What a treasure.

    • It really is such a fun escape. And amen! What an awesome gift to be His child! Hugs and love xox

  30. You are such a pretty young lady, with spunk! Your posts have a way of drawing me in…with some innocence and especially the recognition of God and His amazing love and grace. You are a Princess of our King Jesus! Keep HIm in the center. Blessings!

    • oh my gosh Charme, what a kind thing to say!! thank you so much! Amen – God is good! Hugs and love xox

  31. Beautifully said! I will be up early (probably eating grits and bacon, not tea and crumpets) watching the wedding. It’s just the romance of it all that’s so wonderful. ‘The Nightingale’ is one of my favorite books that I’ve ever read.

    • thank you so much Montee Lou! Yeah I love the romance too! that’s great to hear about the book! thanks! Hugs and love xox

  32. Your post on the royal wedding was unlike any other comments pertaining to the upcoming nuptials. As a Canadian, the monarchy is more than celebrity, but is still part of our political system. Her representative, the Governor General, is still consulted, the Queen is our head of state. Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning monarch surpassing Queen Victoria, and she is the Queen of Canada. Personally, the wedding is big news and I too will be awake along with my wife at 5:00 a.m. Your blog is great.

  33. I love how you said we are living a fairy tale I think that every day and want to not allow a negative day because on the worst day Christ has died for us and purchased a place in heaven for us. That’s the ultimate and it’s a real life fairytale .

    • As thanks friend! Yes! That’s definitely a pick me up for any day! Hugs and love xox

  34. I feel sorry altogether for people who chain themselves to the inertia of the prince and princess, now duke and duchess. I did the same at the ceremonial selection of a new pope, the last. Watching, waiting for the white smoke. And, analyzing since, I see that none effect did those moments have on my life. No positive momentum was I giv’n. And so I learn the difference between momentum and distraction.

  35. ‘Because as daughters of God – we are, by our birth, princesses. (And men, princes.)’

It’s by your baptism you are a daughter of God. And I personally think that’s a better title than princess.

Besides in order to hopefully prove my thought that princess has nothing to do with an honor for women…does Mary have any title with princess in it?

    • Thank you so much Vanessa! So glad it resonated with you!! Hugs and love xox

  36. Good stuff! Tapping into our God given identity is treasure indeed! I am (we are) daughters of the King of Kings and with that recognition comes a beautiful picture of a cherishing love and authority!

  37. Beautiful post as always. I watched her coming up the aisle with my mother (I’m probably more of a republican than a monarchist so could care less about the royals) but it was so beautiful to see two people so happy, so very much in love, reminding us that no matter what dark times there have been in your past, there’s always another bend in the road ❤️

    • Thanks so much Eva!! It was so beautiful. Like when he looked at her and said “I’m so lucky” *swoon!!* Hugs and love xox

  38. Thanks so much for this post. I really enjoy seeing a young woman like yourself with such a positive and loving attitude. It is a pleasure to read your posts.

  39. Your thoughts reminded me of the book, Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Women’s Soul by Stasi and John Eldredge. Yes, we were made to twirl before our Father, our King! And He delights to watch us!! Praise Him!

  40. I confess the rock under which I live is quite heavy. I only knew they got married after I saw an article on Bing, and I only knew who they were until I read your post… because I didn’t read the article. So there… big rock. In some way, I am lilke Sherlock Holmes: if it’s not interesting or necessary for me to know, then I frankly won’t know much about it. On the other hand, I am very intersted in news about North Korea, Russia, Iran, Israel, and the U.S.

    • Haha thanks again Marcelo. Yeah, those areas of expertise and interest for you…in under a Huge rock there myself. Haha Hugs and love xox

  41. Canada is part of the Commonwealth and I won a Commonwealth Scholarship to study in India. So I guess there are some benefits to belonging. Apparently Canadians pay more to the monarchy per capita than Brits do. And let’s not forget, the kings and queens of old were not necessarily nice. Some were downright brutish. But I guess most of us still enjoy spectacles. I watched a bit of it. My history buff side had to. And my political side thinks this US – UK coalition is very timely.

    • Wow that’s amazing, congrats on your scholarship! Interesting take! Hugs and love xox

      • In fairness… once they came to Canada. The Queen that is. When she left the event it was just the PM and his wife (before Trudeau). I sensed a noticeable drop in the atmosphere after she left. So she’s got something. But imo Church of England is small potatoes compared to RCC. The one is a trickle, the other a torrent.

Keep up the great work. xx 🙂

  42. Loved your post. So true that we are made to be princes and princesses of God. I didn’t watch it live, but caught up a bit after. (Honestly, I would have had to get up at 3 am to watch…not happening!) Lol.

    • Thank you so much Kelsie! Haha yeah that’s an aggressive time of morning! Hahah i caught upbafterwards too 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  43. What a wonderful reminder of our royal lineage. I struggled a little with the whole “royal wedding mania” but for different reasons. You did such a good job of shifting perspective. Women who woke up so early to watch a woman become a princes…watch the video of the day you were born!!! Thanks and God bless!
