  1. Got to read your article yesterday, but I sent the comments to your yahoo address. I explain why in the email. But excellent article. Shared it on FB. Have a great week! 💐💐🤗🤗xox

  2. You are so precious! Your writing soothes my soul, as we are kindred spirits, you and I~I have always shared my personal pain, as I honestly believe that God uses our pain to ensure us good Christian soldiers, with captivating testimonials to the ways in which God’s grace shines, and the comfort of Jesus is within you. Love you girl. <3

    • Aw thank you so much Michele! I think you’re so right about that. His grace shines! Hugs and love xox

      • Had a nice visit with some Toledo friends who were in Nashville. They were there with a Russian pastor and his daughter who our Friends of Russian Orphans charity works with. I’ll try to send you an email – it was a very interesting visit!

  3. Love Audible. Been listening to Ulysses S Grant bio by Ron Chernow while riding the Cancer Bus. About 45 hours. Helps me forget about cancer. I still have 5 hours to go.

    • Oh nice!! I’ll have to check out that book:) hang in there fighter 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  4. A great article. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I often feel miserable when I open Facebook. You know the saying ‘comparison is the thief of joy’, it totally applies to social media! And it’s true, it’s always the most polished pics we share, none of the days we’re literally struggling our behinds off. Xx

    • Oh thank you so much! Yeah, i definitely know what you mean! The thief of joy for sure! Hugs and love xox

    • Awww Shireen! Thank you so much! This just made my night! And wow – India 😍 that’s awesome! Hugs and love xox

  5. Beautiful post. Thanks for your courage in sharing your life. Others will definitely be encouraged and motivated including myself. Social media can definitely be an integral part of one’s routine today.

    • Aw, thank you so much friend 🙂 what a kind thing to say! Hugs and love xox

  6. Wonderfully inspiring article. No wonder it was published. Congrats to you, you’re such an amazing example of the good of social media.

    • Hey Miriam! Thank you friend 🙂 You’re kind to say that!! Hugs and love xox

  7. As C. S. Lewis wrote, “Aslan is in the move.” (Aslan being Christ in the Chronicles of Narnia.) The text you heard in Mass was the exact same text I used for the sermon I preached last weekend and today’s devo/blog. It is surely a God-thing going on here!

    • Hey Ed! Oh awesome — I think you’re absolutely right! a God thing for sure! Hugs and love xox

  8. And THIS is why we can be friends. THIS is why I follow you. Because you’re real and I see the light of Jesus in you. I’m praying for you this morning. Great article. Keep being you.

    • Oh my gosh Melissa you are so kind to say that 🙂 Thank you for your prayers!!! Know that you’re in mine too 🙂 And YES! I’m so glad that we’re friends 🙂 Hugs and love xox

  9. Another AMAZING POST. Not surprisingly of course, they always are. I agree with you 100%. Sometimes, people fail to understand that those moments we didn’t post on Instagram, are the reason we made it to the ones that we did post. HIS grace truly is sufficient. Not only that, but something none of us deserve but thank God he blessed us with it anyway. Love this post girl. Be blessed Beautiful Soul! Hugs and Love XOXO

    • Aw, Paul – thank you, my friend. Amen – you are so right about that – His grace is more than sufficient. Hugs and love right back atcha! xox 🙂

  10. One of my all time favorite quotes goes right along with your article. It’s Teddy Roosevelt – “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Great article!

    • Hey Jack! Thank you so much for sharing that quote – it is so true! Hugs and love xox

    • Aw, Lydia – thank you so much for your kind words!! that really means a lot! Hugs and love xox

      • Hey, Caralyn…I know you’re crazy busy and have enough to keep up with. But do you think you could give my last blog post a read and a like? My lil lonely humble blog could use some love. LOL. Hugs and love right back atcha, baby sister! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo!!!

      • sure thing. I’ll do my best! i’ve been running around like crazy here this week, so i haven’t been as diligent with checking in on the blogs but i’ll do my best! Hugs and love xox

  11. I love your article! This topic has crossed my mind a lot lately these past few weeks. I’ve had to delete my Instagram app from my phone several times because I was getting so tired of scrolling through everyone else’s “highlight reels,” as you’ve aptly said. Social media these days is just so one-dimensional, and I think it’s healthy to disconnect every once in a while to invest in real relationships.

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    – Katie

    • Hey Katie, thank you so much for reading git! you’re so right – investing in real relationships is vital for our emotional, spiritual and just overall wellbeing! Hugs and love xox

  12. Thank you for the read! It’s really true that there are a lot of moments we don’t post on social media because we don’t want others to see us whenever we are raw and vulnerable. The only people who tend to see that part of ourselves are those we allow. Or if we at all decide to share that part of ourselves on social media.

    • Thanks so much Raney! So glad you enjoyed it. amen to that -very true! Hugs and love xox

    • thank you so much friend! His grace truly is amazing and life changing! Hugs and love xox

  13. I liked your post about uncomfortable love! I hope you don’t mind, I put a link to your blog from my blog, because I am a big fan, and want to support you!
