I’ve gotta tell ya – something stinks around here. And it’s not the Brussels sprouts I’ve got roasting in the oven.

It’s Facebook’s bully culture, silencing any voice that counters their liberal agenda.

Story time: Remember just last week, I published a passionately pro-life piece after New York’s Governor Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act into law, thus allowing abortion up to birth?

Yeah – well…Facebook censored my article.

That sound you hear, is my head, banging against the wall.

Yep. Facebook — and their aggressively liberal agenda — would not allow me to advertise that particular post on my page.

Not once, not twice, but four different times, I tried to purchase an advertisement for that pro-life post, and all four times, it was denied and “banned.”

BANNED!

What are we, in some utopian society where they’re burning books and censoring what we can and can’t think about?!

I’ve got to believe that it was because it took a pro-life stance.

And this isn’t the first time this censorship has happened either. My anti-pornography post — Facebook banned that one, too!

It is just disgusting.

Nevermind the pathetic moral fiber of our USA — where’s the freedom of speech?

Where’s the freaking First Amendment?

Facebook, I’m calling you out! How dare you censor something, just because it is pro-life?

How dare you silence a voice, simply because it is standing up against the culture of death you’re pushing?

I’m sick and tired of it.

Arrogance. That’s what it is.

Arrogance. Almost as bad as the display of self-importance demonstrated by our democratic, female House representatives wearing all white suits at the State of the Union Address.

Honestly, their behavior made me ashamed to be a woman.

Here’s the beautiful and hilarious irony in all of this:

The Suffragettes that those women were “honoring” by wearing all white — Susan B Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Victoria Woodhull — they’d be appalled by the pro-abortion agenda today’s feminists are fighting for!

President Trump, in his SOTU address, proclaimed some of the most inspiring, pro-life words, ever:

“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth:  all children – born and unborn – are made in the holy image of God.” – President Trump

It brought republicans to their feet in wild applause. Meanwhile, our democratic “women in white” sat there and pouted like petulant teenagers.

The beautiful irony is that the original suffragettes would have been on their feet cheering, too. Women’s rights were not – and are not – abortion rights. In fact, Susan B Anthony, herself, said, “it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit.”

What do you have to say about that, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

I am all for the celebration and recognition of women. We are strong, beautiful, intelligent individuals that are capable of doing everything a man can do – and more when you add bearing children to the list!

One of the buzziest phrases of the moment is “women supporting women.” Women should build each other up instead of tear them down.

Okay – so tearing them down, is a no…but tearing them out of the womb is okay?

I digress.

It is a very dangerous thing when thoughts and ideas are banished simply based on political affiliation or religious belief.

It is the beginning of a deeply destructive end.

A small spotlight was shone on this alarming pattern of behavior during the media’s smear campaign of the Covington Catholic students.

But that was only one isolated incident that got caught.

There are sooo many other instances of censorship, biased/selective reporting, and abuse of journalistic publishing power that are happening all the time that we are completely unaware of.

In things as big as how Major Networks frame a story, to things as small as refusing to allow a pro-life article on Facebook’s platform.

I ask you: what is it that the mainstream media is fighting for?

What climate and culture are they pushing? Because I can assure you, it is not one of life.

How can we trust them? And frankly, what are we to do?

Honestly – what do we do about it?

I ugre you to approach the news and mainstream media with a discerning eye.

Is it true? Who is it serving? What is the other side of the story?

And most of all – What do they have to gain from it?

And lastly, I invite you to help me stick it to the “Facebook man” — and if my prolife post resonated with you, please give it a “share” on Facebook. They can try and snuff one pro-life voice. But let’s see them try to silence a chorus!

  1. I do not think that face book should block you pro-life post, despite the fact that I do not agree with it. Make no mistake I think no woman makes the decision without much thought(abortion). I think they think more about it than the 5000+ priest that are raping children over and over and over for years. I bet these same priest preach against abortion maybe it’s because they are raping little boys. Make no mistake I love and fear God. But for men to make decisions about women really.try reading my post “who is watching them”. Love your passion.

  2. I haven’t had a chance to read through all the comments, but I can say that this post and the comments I have read have been very encouraging. It’s nice to see a level headed conversation about morality and fairness. It’s also good to see the critical thinking that is needed to see through media and propaganda. I’m not sure if the media are pushing agendas or just stirring the pot to keep us watching. No matter the difference, we do not have to be controlled or manipulated by it. Thank you for getting this conversation started, and thank you for the stances you take, whether censored or not, people are listening.

  4. You and I have different views on abortion and politics. And, that’s perfectly okay. What I will say is that you being censored, while awful and disgraceful and horrifying, is a sign to me that you’re doing something right. Someone said it earlier – Using your voice as a trumpet! While many may (and have already) disagree with your post(s) and your point(s), you mentioned in the comments about being scared to publish this post. I’m so glad you didn’t listen to that fear! Good for you! That takes courage. Jesus was censored, and he persisted with what I believe is/was courage, and he was ultimately crucified for it. Hugs!!

  5. A couple of thoughts: Read Matthew 5:10-12; 1 Peter 3:8-22

    Then also read Ephesians 2:1-5

    The world is/was/and will be fallen and sinful. Death will be celebrated until the 2nd coming when Jesus makes all things new (1 Cor 15:35-58). I am saddened to hear of your censorship, but this is what we are to expect (John 15:18-25). This should only further strengthen our resolve to make Jesus known. People need Jesus.

  6. Please keep in mind that we need to focus on that which is Important. What happens is what happens and will not have any meaning until the time has passed nearly forgotten. I have liberal friends that really make sense with their stance, Those I do not know I allow them to continue until that stop making sense and go away. We had the opportunity to read Mitch Teemley and left this as a comment,
    “History has led us to believe that the FEW can inflict their disease by trying to infect The MANY.”
    Continue on your path and don not let the less-enlightened guide you.

  7. This reminds me again of–what else?–something from history (I am the guy being flanked by two Civil War generals). The constitution of the Soviet Union, the Communist empire, guaranteed freedom of speech–it just had to be speech that was “approved” by the party. Communism was supposed to recreate a person into the “new Soviet man” who would think “the right things” and say “the right things.” If you didn’t take to the new system, the gulag was there for the purpose of “re-educating” you as to the truth of Communism.

    We’re seeing the same thing happening here.

  8. Does Facebook censor embedded links? What about links within links?

    save your articles on a separate page. Then put links to them in your WordPress articles. example: you embed your controversial document then auto post on Facebook: link 1: “Babies are in jeopardy, after birth,”, embedded in that document, 2: “health of mothers sometimes ignored.” etc.

    you can test this idea with the articles that got rejected,

    I am no technical guy, so you may want to talk to someone who knows.

  9. A very interesting article. It seems odd that facebook censors in this way and deplorable because what does it mean? Anyway I am usually very open to different thoughts, ideas and religions.
    What I found very hard to watch on the news on TV in Ireland a while ago, is the sheer joy and cheers of the very many young Irish women who came back to Ireland especially to take part in the voting to allow abortion here (and I know that it is complex as Irish women have been having abortions for ever by going to get them in the UK) but anyway to see these young women cheering in huge numbers when they saw that the vote ‘yes’ came out, was sad. To me it sounded unlike women to cheer because now it is allowed in Ireland to kill their own babies!!! it was very distasteful and sad to watch.

  10. Don’t be shocked or dejected by the overbearing attitude of the liberal-left – especially the media. We live in times where good is perceived as evil and vice-versa. A time where speaking in the spirit of truth is looked upon (by those people) as a sure sign that you reject their twisted upside-down moral code. They will turn your argument into a denial of what they claim to be the rights of women in our so-called enlightened age.
    The left would have us believe that there is no stage between conception and actual birth (first breath) when a baby suddenly becomes a human being? Therefore, they claim that abortion can safely be carried out at any stage of pregnancy – even after birth under certain special circumstances ( Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam). The light of the left at the end of the birth canal! In other words – that are never used by them – Infanticide.
    They use very humane terminology when speaking about abortion.
    This is what happens when God is rejected and the evolutionist rides supreme. When the human being is viewed as a coincidental biomass. When we reject the truth that we are created beings and accept the lie that the whole of creation is without meaning, purpose or value (Eph. 2:2). Ther will be a heavy price to pay for a country that accepts and condones this and many other sins against creation and the Creator.

    Continue with your upright stance and write the truth instead of time-based fact:)

  15. So… I read through the comments above, a third of the way down and then decided to jump down here. So if i have said anything already mentioned up above… sorry and just skip it.

    Couple of things:
    1) Have you contacted FB to see what is going on? The reason why I ask is that there is also an alternate reason why FB nixes content and that is,

    2) That ppl complained. These ppl could be sometimes – surprise! surprise! your “friends” (less likely I think), and sometimes just random folks going to and fro about the net.

    ~ So for example, it could be that I write a post on the evils of smoking and the post is open to anyone out in the world. Now in this case, there may be ppl online who are virulently pro-smoking and the moment they come across the post, they then go ballistic and launch various complaints to FB about my hateful post. So FB removes my post on smoking.

  16. This kind of censorship by FB is really very appalling. A pastor friend of mine also posted a comment on his Insta page indicating that he has been blocked by FB over the same NYC abortion issue. Haba, this is not helping freedom of expression at all. Thanks for your courage in speaking up.

  17. I gotta hand it to you Caralyn, i didn’t see this post coming. But it interests me. Especially the part concerning abortion. Coming from a lady, it gives me hope.
    We don’t have such laws in my country, and i think it’s for the best. Children whether born or unborn, should not be treated with nothing other than love.

  24. Illuminating post! I was what one might label a progressive-leftist for over 20 years. I would probably call myself more classical liberal today even still a little left leaning in my politics. Why the move? I got very disenchanted with the left’s endless use of Social Justice Warrior rhetoric and virtue signalling; identity politics and tribal wars; and even their encroachment on free speech by de-platforming speakers and deliberately omitting factual and scientific evidence if it didn’t align with their collectivist aim. People are downright afraid and have been for quite sometime to speak out against what may be perceived as contravening the leftist collective opinion and narrative. Many have spoken out like you and many are paying huge prices. I am genuinely scared about where things are heading.

There will come a day when not only will they censor what you write by not publishing it, but by touching your employers, so you cannot find work. We are going to need our own network soon. I own a Fb page: A Nightmare: Breast Cancer and a public group devoted to breast cancer support (no ‘pink’ hype but real stuff) and FB denied my eBook be sold via its shop because of nudity without knowledge of educational content. I appealed, still denied. FB labeled it PORN!! Deleting ‘breast’ and ‘nipple tattoo’ from its description, it was allowed in my shop! Even Google wouldn’t allow my ‘other’ blog to be monetized because of the surgical photos. Sorry, the internet is NOT free press as people believe, as you have found.

    And you weren’t the only woman who was disgusted with those ‘other’ women. Especially when they followed Pelosi’s lead, not respectfully standing or simply clapping at the president’s positivism. My husband calls them socialist idiots. I believe some are on the edge of treason– how did we get there? Thanks for listening, keep it up!

But…blogs are also privately owned so if bloggers speak out and keep speaking out like you are doing, our voices will be heard. The scariest thing for me is not even the act of media choosing sides and trying to support whatever it is they are behind… what’s scariest to me is that we have seen this happen so many times before! Slavery, women’s rights, and Nazi Germany just to name a few. I might not have lives through those times but I sometimes feel like I’m one of very few who don’t care to live through a 21st century version!

  36. I have a friend on FB who frequently posts pro-life links and has had them blocked several times. I always let him know when I can’t see something he’s posted, and he contacts FB as many times as it takes to get it unblocked. I think the radical liberals’ mask is slipping. It’s plain as day now that they are not arguing for any kind of objective fairness.

(I think you have more patience with some of these commenters than I would have!) As for FB, I quit it years ago because I found it to be very worldly. I have no doubt there is censorship going on (even if there could be other explanations). Know there are many who stand with you. All life is precious and we are all children of God.

  40. This is why Catholics have begun praying again to St. Michael to overcome Satan and his evildoers who roam the planet. The prayer sounds old-fashioned but it reminds us that there are evil people as well as good ones among us, and the good have to beat back the evil. It’s an overwhelming task but with God’s and St. Michael’s help, it can be done. The sad thing is that some otherwise good people can’t see the evil they’re perpetuating.

  41. I don’t share your point of view. I am pro-choice. A woman who does not want to be pregnant, terminates the pregnancy at the beginning. So we’re really talking about cases, where the mother’s life is in danger OR where we have fetal anomalies. And what is late-term abortion to you? What does it mean? When is it a late-term abortion?

For me, I believe that life begins at conception, so whether an abortion occurs the day after, or nine months after – the devastating end of a life is taking place. So for me, a late-term abortion is just as horrific as taking the morning after pill. Those are my beliefs, and I respect that not everyone holds those same beliefs, But those are mine. Hi friend, I appreciate your calm response 🙂 I believe that a decision to end a pregnancy can be the more responsible choice if you feel like you are neither mentally or physically made for being a mother. The adoption and foster systems are already quite full, so it’s not guaranteed that those kids will be properly taken care of. There’s so many orphans or unwanted kids out there who really need love! Also I believe in bodily autonomy. We shouldn’t force anyone to be pregnant, as we wouldn’t force anyone to donate organs. We can’t make that decision for someone if it would affect them negatively (whether financially, physically or maybe socially). A fetus can’t survive on it’s own yet, so it’s life is fully dependant on the mother’s body and there is no right on someone else’s body really. But I’m sure you’ve heard those arguments before!

FaceBook, Twitter, General Motors once owned 70% of the US car market which lead to the total disregard for their customers, look how the mighty have fallen. The customers GM step on, on the way up are the same ones that turned their backs on the return trip. Facebook! your already making reservations for your return trip from the mountain top. I am just one waiting on your replacement that is coming as sure as the next sunrise to begin your sunset. I’m pro-life make what you will of that but you can not silence the people they will simply discard you.

I am stunned (don’t know why) that your efforts were banned by FB – but it is becoming more and more common. Just today I was told of another blogger who had his posts censored by FB. I don’t know where it will end, but the fact that women such as yourself are standing up and letting your voices be heard is balm for a bent and broken world. Keep up the good work – and use these little setbacks as motivation to work even harder. Peace!

    Here’s a link to a teaching my husband and I did recently on the ethics of abortion. We are Christian and teach it from a Biblical standpoint.

    These are stats from credible sources including the CDC; and no, I didn’t repost something I found and got on board with. I did my own research.

    LESS THAN 0.05% of abortions typically occur due to rape. That less than a HALF of ONE PERCENTAGE.

    So stop making arguments based off of exaggerated stories.

    Also, less than 0.065% of pregnancies typically are aborted due to the mothers’ lives being endangered.

    Please get your statistics right before jumping on a band wagon for a cause that is inflating statistics!

    Also, most unplanned pregnancies that ended in abortions occurred due to women who were on oral contraceptives. Just because one is on “the pill,” only guarantees 92-94% rate of not conceiving. Please use other protective methods such as a condom if you are not wanting a child and are on birth control.”
    This one has made it around the US.
    I wonder if it’s just a matter of time!

    You know, why don’t they focus on removing the pictures of near naked women instead of wasting their time targeting people that are trying to stop a pandemic?

  48. I’m not surprised by Facebooks action, but appalled. Everyone should leave that platform of fascism. Thank you for speaking out for life. Censor facebook, enemy of the people and free speech. Our right to dissent is under seige, by Facebook. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
