I heard a gut wrenching statistic the other day.
One that, I had to bring up on the blog, even though the thought of broaching this topic amid the current climate of Black Lives Matter, and race relations, scares me half to death.
But I have never let fear stop me from posting before. Particularly because the more nervous I am to push “publish,” the more important the topic actually is.
So anyway, enough beating around the bush:
It is more likely for a black baby to be aborted than it is to be born in New York City.
I’m going to say that again:
According to the Charlotte Loizer Institute, in NYC, it is more likely for a black baby to be aborted, than born alive.
Please let that sink in.
Of the nearly 48,000 reported pregnancies for black women in New York City in 2016, 49 percent ended in abortion, as compared with 47% that ended in live birth, with 4% miscarriages.
I’m not going to sit here and bash you over the head with stats and statistics, or bible verses, or other propaganda — which, believe me, I have an arsenal at the ready.
But rather I just want to invite you to think about this:
Think about the nation, completely tearing apart at the seams, over the unjust and reprehensible murder of George Floyd and the other unarmed black men and women, at the hands of the police. Last year, that number was: nine men, and one woman — unarmed, and fatally shot by police. Ten horrific, and tragic losses of life that should have never ever happened. Each one, an unspeakable injustice.

Now, please juxtapose that with — during that same time period — the true genocide, of nearly 24,000 black babies in NYC alone. Not to mention the 56 million aborted children, worldwide, per year.

Twenty Four Thousand babies. The true black genocide. — Where is the outcry?
Where is the anger and outrage?
Why are we not tearing down statues and calling out Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger — who herself was an outspoken racist, and eugenist. Yes – eugenics, as in: “the practice or advocacy of controlled selective breeding of human populations (as by sterilization) to improve the population’s genetic composition.” (Merriam Webster.)
Sanger was seeking to “assist the race in the elimination of the unfit” — her words in her “Birth Control and Racial Betterment” address of 1919. Sanger’s racism was unabashed: speaking at Klan meetings in 1926, calling for the sterilization of black people through her organization’s targeted outreach to black communities.
Yes. Planned Parenthood — the bright star of feminists, and pink ribbon supporters everywhere — has a disturbingly dark, deeply racist origin.
Consider where your local Planned Parenthood resides? Low income neighborhoods? Near public transportation?
Consider where, how, and to whom they advertise.
And then consider the numbers. Consider, those 24,000 precious, little black babies, killed last year in NYC, alone. Do their lives matter?

In 1984, Jesse Jackson called abortion, black genocide, comparing a mother’s control over her child’s death through abortion, to that of slavery.
We cannot fight for justice for black lives, without including the most vulnerable, and most executed population: the children in the womb.
It is an uncomfortable conversation. But it is a gross atrocity that we are allowing to take place, here in “woke” 2020.
Wake up, America. If we’re truly fighting for justice for our black brothers and sisters, we cannot ignore the biggest injustice of all.
Because every. single. life. matters. Every single one.
Regardless of race, sex, background, religion, sexual orientation, nationality — or life stage — we are all made by God. And therefore are all inherently valuable and worthy of justice and life.
Yes, Black Lives Matter — all of them.
“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5

I find it interesting that, as a Black woman, a white woman is trying to compare what happened to many Black men/women and abortion. And to have your belief in the matter is one thing, but to judge someone about their decisions is another story. God cares for every life, of course he does. But does that give us permission to grab our statistics and Bible thumping to prove that people that choose a different path for their lives need punishment? Or saving? Or anything of the sort? I usually connect well with your posts, but I can’t help but to think yet again how a white person is trying to determine what is right and wrong for Black bodies and speaking for us as if we don’t have mouths of our own.
Whether your intention was that or not, your impact sits at a level I’m highly disappointed in. I’m starting to think that the anxiety previous to posting this was God telling you to slow your roll and think about the impact your words would have to your BLACK readers. Such as I. Or maybe the ignorance of your post is there to set a standard opportunity for growth and understanding, only He knows at the moment.
It’s sad to see this. Very sad. But the one thing I will say to end this, don’t tell people what they should be angry at. Especially the BIPOC in this country who have been told what to do and think for generations by our oppressors.

Keep up the good fight and heartfelt wisdom my friend, in both your internal and external worlds. Cognitive dissonance is the tough and lonely wall at which we chisel. However, glancing at your blog & spin-offs, you are making a crack. On behalf of us all, thank you for that. Faith, not fear, forever. You are doing well…

You’re right! I feel like there are so many other “shiny things” out there distracting is from issues that are bigger and more deserving of our attention. This world seems completely upside down. But, His word told us it would happen.

I agree with you on that! I mean half of these “planned” protests and riots by the evil masses and the elite themselves are staged and pushed so terribly by their Satanic agenda that has blinded the minds and eyes and heart of man so much that most of us are thinking we’re still on the narrow path of life when it’s on the broad and dark one that leads to hell and damnation! It’s time to wake up people! Smell the coffee that’s already boiled over the stove! Is this really true justice? Of course it’s not. It’s fake and wicked I say. God bless and thanks for your true outcry! Blessings!
