Maine Bound!

My suitcase is full of hiking gear and snacks, I’ve got a NAGATIVE covid test in my pocket, I’m sitting shotgun in a Jeep with my masked besties and were barreling down the freeway on our way to Maine!

We’re blasting Celine Dion and ready for an adventure!

This is the same group that went to Iceland, Utah, and Costa Rica together! (Click for trip highlights!)

We’ve vowed that every summer for the rest of our lives we’re going to go on a girls getaway! (Even when we’re married!)

I’m so blessed to have these girls in my life! Particularly during the pandemic, it’s been made so apparent what a gift true friends are. I mean – we survived Covid together! I love them like sisters!

So anywho – for the next few days, I’ll be in Maine! It’s SO WEIRD to be out of the city! It’s been since…Christmas! What is this green stuff I keep seeing on the side of the highway?! Haha

And thank you so much for your wonderful comments on Monday’s post! You definitely helped relieve my fears of traveling in these corona times!

  18. Maine is fabulous, one of favourite states! Enjoy some lobster, crab, shrimp, all of it! The wilderness is beautiful, the terrain is fascinating, and the people are spectacular. (Ask them if they’re Mainers or Maniacs, that always gets a good answer.) Have a wonderful time!

    You also have been to Iceland in the past? I visited there too and I must say it belongs to my favourite countries wherever I have travelled to (I came around almost the whole world). The landscape and sceneries changed almost all 5 minutes enfolding new spectacular impressions like: lunar landscapes, lava areas, light blue sulfur lakes, crater lakes, geysers, impressive waterfalls and landscapes of indescribable beauty.

  26. Stay safe out there! A lot is happening so stick with your gut if something feels off but also enjoy yourself because people need to get back to their lives.

      1. Yeah we need a ton of prayers right now. Tried watching the DNC this past weekend and I’ve been on edge, so much negative energy and it scares me to think America might be going in the wrong direction.

        Remember the devil is a liar, people need to watch the signs, even the DNC logo screams evil. Gotta pray God has everything under control.

    I hope you and the ladies have a trip full of adventures and amazing memories! Maine is a magical place. The summer before my partner and I turned 30 we decided that we wanted to turn 30 in a new place so we sold our house and took 2 cats and our 2 cars across the country from Washington State to Maine. It was the 1st time either of us had ever been to the East coast and we cherished our time in Portland, Maine. We actually bought a house in Northern Maine that we still own, but that winter decided the East coast was too cold for us.
    This is the perfect time of year to explore that magical coastal state. Sending lots of hugs and love and looking forward to reading about your adventures!

    Almost died from the whole world shutting down over VIRUSES. Glad you’re good. Take a turn off a Mass Turn Pike and you’ll see something cool. 😉

    Have fun in Maine. I was STRANDED in Worcester MA and had to do a dance to a hotel in Boston a couple months a go.
