Merry Christmas friends!!

I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas. I had waaaay too much fun with my family, and the day got away from me!

So to make up for not posting yesterday, please enjoy this glimpse into last evening’s antics.

Yes, it’s the Spice Girls.

But no, for real, I decided to share this because ten years ago, when I was deep in the throes of my anorexia, I never thought that I would find my “spark” again. I had always been a spontaneous, fun-loving goofball with a big laugh and a big heart, and in my disease, I lost that, becoming a shell of who I was. Dead behind the eyes and even more empty in spirit.

And Christmas time was one of the hardest times.

So I wanted to share this for perhaps any girls who are going through that dark valley right now, or any loved ones who may be standing by, feeling helpless: I got my goofiness back.

You will too.

This is your life to reclaim. Your fears and pain to surrender to Jesus. What a perfect time: on His birthday.

There is hope friends. And this video, in all it’s embarrassing glory, offers just that.

I love you all with all my Spice Girls-loving heart, and I’ll see you tomorrow for a recipe, and Thursday for programming as usual. 🙂

  21. Thanks for your upbeat posts as you share your journey. I also enjoy seeing your growth and love for the Lord in the Catholic Church. I’ve been learning from some of the Catholic mystics and it’s been helpful in my own journey. My wife and I went to Rome this September, and we found it to be a profoundly spiritual experience. The Vatican was amazing, but the artwork and fountains in the city also pointed us heavenward. If you haven’t been there I hope you can go some day soon. I pray that you have an amazing 2018, and that the Lord fulfills the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4,5.
